Are you better off today under President Joe Biden than you were a year earlier? And are you financially prepared for a downturn in the economy or a job loss? The March I&I/TIPP Poll suggests most Americans would answer “no” to both of those questions. The poll asked: “Generally speaking, is your family better off today than it was one year ago, worse off than it was one year ago, or about the same as it was a year ago?” Fewer than one in five (20%) said they were “better off.” while more than twice that number — 42% — said they were “worse off.”

And for that you can thank the lying, cheating, corrupt democrat party. Weak flaccid Republicans who can’t be bothered to fight for what is right and good get an honorable mention. Politicians have to be at the bottom of the barrel. They have outpaced even lawyers who are known bottom feeders.

Interesting! We were at a Dinner Party last evening. Of the Eight of us, six were Died in the Wool Democrats. We have lived near them for 20 years and have enjoyed their company. They were talking about their upcoming trips abroad (so we know the Biden effect hasn't reached them). They briefly touched on Gas prices and Food prices, but not ONE of them blamed Biden for any of the problems we have today. I'm sure they will vote Democrat again! Three of the Six were Educators! Guess once a Democrat, always a Democrat!

Reply #3 I/we have purged ourselves of all liberals including some relatives. I do have an old friend who still calls me. He hated Trump but acknowledged times and his life was better for four years with Trump. His problem with Trump, he was a brute doing mean tweets, no kidding. My friend will not acknowledge Biden is at fault for anything. If a presidential election was held with Trump running my friend would vote for the democrat even if it were Satan himself. I'm worse off but we are in the permanent quarantine mode we've been in going on three years. Being retired on fixed income groceries are our only concern, no social life like restaurants, no traveling with our two older automobiles because of high gasoline prices. We're worse off than a year ago with inflation. Thank you FJB.

I think the answer to that question today is even more clear than it was during Jimmy Carter's term. It is especially more distasteful today because we know the pretender in the White House is there because of election fraud.

By all evidence, Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court will be a shoo-in. Not because she’s supremely qualified, but because her nomination — as the press reminds us in every headline — is “historic.” Yes, there are and have been black justices and women justices, but never, ever a black woman justice! Who would dare stand in the way of history? President Joe Biden assumed that by checking all the correct woke boxes his candidate could escape the sort of vicious scrutiny, rumormongering, character-destroying attacks visited upon Republican nominees – apparently forgetting that

The old yet always relevant joke is that environmentalists are like watermelons, green on the outside but red(s) on the inside. As inflation has continued to climb, so have the number of President Joe Biden’s excuses for why he’s not to blame. First, it was a “transitory” effect of the economy rebounding from COVID lockdowns. Then it was the result of supply chain problems because ports didn’t operate 24/7. Then it was due to a lack of competition among beef suppliers. Then it was greed. Now he’s settled on Vladimir Putin. None of it is true. But the White House is so determined to take advantage of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine it invited TikTok “influencers” to propagandize them. The mainstream press had already fallen in line,

Along with President Joe Biden and Congress, the Federal Reserve has a responsibility to manage inflation, a job it was established to do. And just like Biden and Congress, the Fed has failed at its job. At the Fed’s own website, it states clearly what its primary job is, by law: “Conducting the nation’s monetary policy by influencing money and credit conditions in the economy in pursuit of full employment and stable prices.” Well, today, we have neither “full employment” nor “stable prices.” On Tuesday, the government reported that wholesale prices, that is prices just a step before retail, surged 10% in February.

The U.S. went through a historical convulsion in the 1960s, and not only survived but emerged restored and optimistic in the 1980s. This time, though, the destroyers are better organized and seem more determined than their predecessors. We hope there are still enough Americans who believe the country is worth defending. Don’t make the mistake that the political left wants a strong and prosperous U.S., and the only differences it has with the center and right are the methods for how that is achieved. The left, especially its progressive wing of radicals that is taking over the Democratic Party

As COVID deaths wane and the virus appears to be losing its virulence, restrictions imposed during the height of the pandemic are beginning to be lifted. The latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows that most Americans believe the restrictions are largely being eased for political reasons, not science. The latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows strong sentiment in favor of ending the limits imposed on Americans’ lives due to the COVID pandemic. Among those queried, 29% they felt that restrictions were being lifted “too slowly,” while 29% said they were being taken down “at the right time.” Less than a third, or 32%, said they thought restrictions were coming off “too fast.”

While running for president, Barack Obama said electricity prices will “necessarily skyrocket” under his energy plan. As gasoline reaches unaffordable heights for many Americans, never forget that the Democratic Party wants to inflict painful energy costs on the country. It’s in its political DNA. As of Thursday, the average U.S. price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.32, the highest ever recorded in this country. A month ago, it was $3.48. A year ago, about six weeks after Joe Biden took the oath of office, it was $2.82. Recent projections that the U.S. average would peak at $4.25 a gallon

President Joe Biden, sorely in need of an alibi as oil and gasoline prices soar and wreak havoc on the economy, now blames Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine for the spike in energy prices. In fact, surging oil and gas prices are the inevitable results of Biden’s own foolish green policies. “Putin’s war is already hurting American families at the gas pump … I’m going to do everything I can to minimize Putin’s price hike here at home,” Biden told Americans Tuesday, as he imposed a ban on Russian oil. Later, he doubled down on his claim.

The best thing about Joe Biden’s presidency is his penchant for short speeches. It is unclear if he has the stamina for the marathon orations of his predecessor, but certainly the American people do not. The dismal ratings for this year’s State of the Union Address bear that out as they did for Biden’s first address to a joint session of Congress last year. Who can blame them? The American people have endured much lately. One might not know that from listening to Biden’s remarks on March 1st where he evaluated the state of the union as “strong.” But leading societal indicators suggest a different adjective – “Hobbesian.”

The COVID pandemic unleashed Big Tech censors in a big way. Much is unknown at this point, but I am a commercial multi-engine pilot and a flight instructor so I can add a few points of speculation to ponder. According to the flight data available, the rapid descent started at around 30,000 feet. That would point to either a structural failure that caused a loss of flight controls or a high-altitude stall
