Up, up and you pay. The average U.S. price for regular-grade gasoline at the pump soared a whopping 79 cents over the past two weeks to hit a record $4.43 per gallon on Sunday.
That exceeds by 32 cents the prior all-time high of $4.11 set in July 2008, AP reports.
Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey said Sunday the new price is still some way from the inflation-adjusted record high of about $5.24 per gallon.
The price at the pump is $1.54 higher than it was a year ago, with plenty of consumers pointing directly at President Joe Biden and his policies.

Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, a Democrat, has claimed that, despite an abundance of evidence showing that “clean” energy is currently neither as reliable nor as efficient as traditional energy, America should invest in it right now instead of the latter.
He made this bold but dubious assertion while delivering a speech this weekend at the Democrat National Committee’s winter meeting.
“Republicans and their oil-soaked cronies … want to feed the American people one of the biggest lies of all – that drilling for more oil and more gas is the path to energy independence,” he said during his speech.
“Republicans say that they have an all-of-the-above plan,

In 2020, President Joe Biden declared war on oil and gas in America. In a Democratic primary debate, Biden declared, “No more subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. No more drilling including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period. It ends.” High gas prices are all part of his plan.
The other day, Biden declared that there was nothing his administration had done to raise prices or restrict drilling. Actually, there have been plenty of regulatory measures taken and offshore leases curtailed. More importantly, Biden declared war on fossil fuels.

We discussed this on the Triggered Podcast this week, but this can’t be legal. This sounds like something out of North Korea, Hussein’s Iraq, or Castro’s Cuba. We have a person detained for nearly 90 days without an indictment. Why? Well, this person was around the Capitol Building during the January 6 riot. Leslie McAdoo Gordon of Redstate, who served as a special agent for the Department of Defense Investigative Service and is now an attorney, detailed this sordid tale of prosecutorial misconduct. Being an attorney who has gone through the motions involving cases at the federal level,

The shifting sands of Democrat gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke’s gun control plans have solidified, for now, into a pledge to buy back AR-15s and AK-47s from Texans if the state legislature will support doing it.
O’Rourke spoke with Texas Tribune CEO Evan Smith on Saturday and KVUE reported O’Rourke’s comments.
Smith asked O’Rourke to clarify his position on confiscatory gun control.
O’Rourke stressed his belief that citizens should not be able to buy a AR-15s, then said: “And if I can find the consensus within the Legislature to have a law in the state of Texas that allows us to buy those AK-47s and AR-15s back, we will.

"Number one, no more subsidies for fossil fuel industry. No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period, ends, number one." (Candidate Joe Biden, Democratic Presidential debates, March 15, 2020.)
Well, whatever else we might say about Biden, we can’t say he fudged on that campaign pledge. One consequential calamity stares us in the face every time we pump gas.
One calamity Greenies often trumpet in support of Biden’s Green New Deal is the BP oil spill off the Louisiana coast in April, 2010. For those who only remember the hysterical headlines of the time,

Mr. Elon Musk, it looks like America and one of her astronauts aboard the International Space Station might need you. You know, the place where your space capsules have gone to a number of times, and have allowed the United States to not depend on the Russians for a lift up and back home.
Yeah, that place.
In what can only be described as living proof that a mess on Earth can leak into space, it seems that the Putin World Tour of ticking off everyone on the ground (except China, Iran, North Korea, and Belarus) has made its way into the heavens.
Approximately 254 miles up, anyway.

Joe Biden has said that he’s doing everything he can to work on the issue of rising gas prices. At the same time, he’s also said there wasn’t much he can do, and has blamed it on Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Biden tried to blame it on oil companies, too, claiming they have permits but aren’t drilling enough. Talk about completely not taking the blame or the responsibility for anything.
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) – the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee chair – busted those lies, saying there’s a lot that can be done — starting with getting stalled pipeline permits approved.

Democrats have got nothing to run on for re-election. And that’s eating at the politicians who’ve been casting about for a catchy slogan that would fit on a bumper sticker and sweep the country.
Originally, the Biden people thought that “Build Back Better” would carry them to victory. But it’s become apparent that BBB is the punchline to a joke and wouldn’t be useful.
Some Democrats hit upon the brilliant slogan “Democrats Deliver!” but the White House polled the tagline and found it came in near the bottom of other suggestions.
Given what Democrats have “accomplished” so far, Republicans could easily make a mockery of that slogan. “Deliver what?” they might counter.

Hunter Biden’s laptop repairman spoke out recently on damages he’s suffered since the days leading up to the 2020 election, including harassment and financial ruin.
John Paul Mac Isaac was forced to close his shop in Wilmington, DE, and flee to reside with his family in Lakewood, CO just days after the election, he told the New York Post. “I was getting a lot of death threats,” Mac Isaac reported. “I had to have a Wilmington trooper parked in front of my shop all the time.”
Mac Isaac was under severe scrutiny for alerting the FBI that he was in possession of Biden’s laptop since April 2019

A day after the Florida Senate triggered leftists by passing the Parental Rights in Education bill, the members of the Florida House followed suit by passing their own triggering bill.
Passed in the House on Wednesday, S.B. 524 will create a “15-person Office of Election Crimes and Security within the Department of State” to essentially serve as an election police unit, according to Florida Politics.
The new office will reportedly investigate voter fraud complaints, increase “the penalties on organizations that violate election registration laws from $1,000 to $50,000” and ask “supervisors of elections to maintain voter roll lists annually instead of every two years.”

President Joe Biden recently received the honor of having an extinct type of squid named after him.
Paleontologists have long discovered various prehistoric remains in Montana. Usually, dinosaur bones get the limelight, but the truth is all manner of creatures are discovered in the Treasure State, which has been underwater at various points in its history.
One such sea creature was unearthed in the Bear Gulch limestone formation in 1988, and from there was donated to Canada’s Royal Ontario Museum, apparently without anyone taking a second glance at it. More recently, Christopher Whalen, a paleontologist
