Imagining that sports fans agree kindergarteners should be taught about exotic sexual proclivities in the classroom, several ESPN moralizers observed a “moment of silence” during live broadcasts on Friday.
At the start of the second half of an NCAA Women’s Tournament game, sportscasters Carolyn Peck and Courtney Lyle took a break from describing the game to preach at viewers about politics.
“Normally at this time, we would take a look back at the first half,” began Lyle. “But there are things bigger than basketball that need to be addressed at this time. Our friends, our family, our co-workers, the players and coaches in our community are hurting right now,” she claimed.

You probably shouldn’t write while pizzed off, but I don’t really have the luxury to wait. I also doubt there will be any time before my deadline when these complete jackarses on the left aren’t doing something so worthless I wouldn’t revel in seeing them dive into a swimming pool only to discover there’s no water in it. They’ve turned me, and I’d guess one hell of a lot of other people, into people who literally can’t stand anything they’re pushing.
I honestly couldn’t care less about someone’s sexuality, never really gave a damn about it. As such, I have a lot of friends who happen to be gay.

Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Ketanji Brown Jackson, was briefly hailed (by some) as a consensus nominee that even some Republicans could support.
I’m starting to think that Republican support will be much harder to get than Biden had hoped.
Last month, we learned that in 1996, Jackson wrote a “Note” for the Harvard Law Review arguing that convicted sex offenders were treated “unfairly” in the courts. Earlier this week, her past work advocating on behalf of Guantánamo Bay terrorists also became an issue that will undoubtedly come up during her confirmation hearings.

There you are — on the highway in a hurry. Suddenly, a sloppy sight means your plans are impeded by a pause: That rotting armadillo in the emergency lane would sure be scrumptious as a stew.
Should you stop, or is that selfish? Is leaving it for the next driver the Christian thing to do?
Perhaps now, you can feel a little fairer in your claiming of the carcass: There’s an app for that. At least, that is, if you’re hungry at the wheel in Wyoming.
As reported by The Associated Press, The Suffrage State’s launched a phone app letting drivers put dibs on dashed-line dinner.

More abuse from the crazy left. A Democrat PAC is accusing President Trump of breaking Federal Election Commission (FEC) finance laws because the President has not yet announced whether he will run in 2024.
Human Events reports:
Democratic super PAC American Bridge accused Trump of breaking campaign finance laws on Monday because he hasn’t yet formally announced whether he will run in 2024.
The group told the New York Times that it is filing a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission and using Trump’s own words in the complaint, The Hill reports.
“He should have to adhere to the law in a way that all other candidates do,”

Up, up and you pay. The average U.S. price for regular-grade gasoline at the pump soared a whopping 79 cents over the past two weeks to hit a record $4.43 per gallon on Sunday.
That exceeds by 32 cents the prior all-time high of $4.11 set in July 2008, AP reports.
Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg of the Lundberg Survey said Sunday the new price is still some way from the inflation-adjusted record high of about $5.24 per gallon.
The price at the pump is $1.54 higher than it was a year ago, with plenty of consumers pointing directly at President Joe Biden and his policies.

Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey, a Democrat, has claimed that, despite an abundance of evidence showing that “clean” energy is currently neither as reliable nor as efficient as traditional energy, America should invest in it right now instead of the latter.
He made this bold but dubious assertion while delivering a speech this weekend at the Democrat National Committee’s winter meeting.
“Republicans and their oil-soaked cronies … want to feed the American people one of the biggest lies of all – that drilling for more oil and more gas is the path to energy independence,” he said during his speech.
“Republicans say that they have an all-of-the-above plan,

In 2020, President Joe Biden declared war on oil and gas in America. In a Democratic primary debate, Biden declared, “No more subsidies for the fossil fuel industry. No more drilling including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period. It ends.” High gas prices are all part of his plan.
The other day, Biden declared that there was nothing his administration had done to raise prices or restrict drilling. Actually, there have been plenty of regulatory measures taken and offshore leases curtailed. More importantly, Biden declared war on fossil fuels.

We discussed this on the Triggered Podcast this week, but this can’t be legal. This sounds like something out of North Korea, Hussein’s Iraq, or Castro’s Cuba. We have a person detained for nearly 90 days without an indictment. Why? Well, this person was around the Capitol Building during the January 6 riot. Leslie McAdoo Gordon of Redstate, who served as a special agent for the Department of Defense Investigative Service and is now an attorney, detailed this sordid tale of prosecutorial misconduct. Being an attorney who has gone through the motions involving cases at the federal level,

The shifting sands of Democrat gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke’s gun control plans have solidified, for now, into a pledge to buy back AR-15s and AK-47s from Texans if the state legislature will support doing it.
O’Rourke spoke with Texas Tribune CEO Evan Smith on Saturday and KVUE reported O’Rourke’s comments.
Smith asked O’Rourke to clarify his position on confiscatory gun control.
O’Rourke stressed his belief that citizens should not be able to buy a AR-15s, then said: “And if I can find the consensus within the Legislature to have a law in the state of Texas that allows us to buy those AK-47s and AR-15s back, we will.

"Number one, no more subsidies for fossil fuel industry. No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period, ends, number one." (Candidate Joe Biden, Democratic Presidential debates, March 15, 2020.)
Well, whatever else we might say about Biden, we can’t say he fudged on that campaign pledge. One consequential calamity stares us in the face every time we pump gas.
One calamity Greenies often trumpet in support of Biden’s Green New Deal is the BP oil spill off the Louisiana coast in April, 2010. For those who only remember the hysterical headlines of the time,

Mr. Elon Musk, it looks like America and one of her astronauts aboard the International Space Station might need you. You know, the place where your space capsules have gone to a number of times, and have allowed the United States to not depend on the Russians for a lift up and back home.
Yeah, that place.
In what can only be described as living proof that a mess on Earth can leak into space, it seems that the Putin World Tour of ticking off everyone on the ground (except China, Iran, North Korea, and Belarus) has made its way into the heavens.
Approximately 254 miles up, anyway.

Be sure to read the linked story. This is absolutely infuriating, but it seems like someone finally found a mistake that the DOJ made in these cases.
