The 'Moral Panic' Over Ukraine Could Cost

Democrats are looking to make Ukraine a wedge issue in order to keep control of Congress and get a leg up on the 2024 presidential race. That’s what the attempt to smear the entire Republican Party with the stink of being pro-Putin apologists is about. Every major elected Republican official has come out squarely opposed to Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Many Republicans were urging Joe Biden to apply sanctions against Russia even before the invasion. But Democrats and their allies in the media have taken some ignorant comments from Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham and have tried to paint the entire GOP as supporting Putin and his war of aggression.

Who would rank the War in the Ukraine over soaring inflation, crime, our country being invade through non existent borders, etc. The dims issues are pronouns, pervert rights, climate, etc. Much as it sicken me to see innocent people being killed by thugs, the Ukraine is the country that paid Quid Pro Joe's spawn, Snorter, $ 90k a month to not show up and fired a government official at Daddy Bidet's order who was investigating. Back in the 90s there was a civil war in Rwanda and hundreds of thousands of people were killed. Many were hacked with machetes and thrown alive into rivers to be eaten alive by crocodiles. Don't remember much new coverage of that.

The GOP establishment has piled headlong into the Ukrainian disaster with the Democrats. It is another failure of the GOP, as they bed down with the Democrats again, showing we have uniparty rule in DC, and how sorely we need a genuine opposition party.

Here's the truth. Americans didn't give a crap what was happening in the Ukraine until there was 24/7 coverage of the brutal Russian invasion. Americans now "stand with Ukraine". Which is meaningless virtue signaling. "Standing with Ukraine" will come to a screeching halt the second meaningful sanctions are imposed causing the cost of gasoline to hit $7.00 a gallon, the cost of food to double, more supply chain shortages and reduced crop yields due to Russian fertilizer shortages. Should we get involved militarily, all bets are off. Anyone criticizing Biden now is already being labeled a traitor. Americans are all about supporting the underdog until we are personally inconvenienced. Those "economic sanctions" are a double-edged sword. There is no "good" end to this situation. Russia isnt going to stop until it gets what it wants. Which leaves us with two options. 1. Stay out of it and let this play out. Which means the US standing in the world is greatly diminished. 2. Ratchet up the sanctions etc. Which risks damaging our own economy and an escalation of conflict.

When will we ever learn not to fret over what’s going on in the world? Our Democrat party overlords know what’s best for us, and all we have to do is simply follow their suggestions. So many of us peons worry about the skyrocketing price of gas at the pump, but America’s brilliant Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg has a fix for gas prices that’s so easy it’s almost ridiculous. The catastrophe in Ukraine was the outcome of the combined miscalculations of Vladimir Putin and Western politicians. The Russian leader embarked on a quest to restore his country’s historical greatness, while the West endeavored to preserve the Global World as it was. Both sides were firmly committed to the past, one to the re-establishment of the Soviet Union, the other to the pursuit of an environmentalist fantasy that effectively made Western Europe energy dependent on the Kremlin. The outbreak of war in Europe showed that living in the past was no longer possible. "The Russian Federation supplies a significant volume of fossil fuels and is the largest exporter

The Democrat Party is standing before the scaffold, ready to ascend to the gallows on energy policy. There’s a way to avoid the sentence, but it is expensive to their political prospects and to the American people. They’ve got this coming, and they have only themselves to blame. Under uniquely bipartisan pressure, Biden is considering whether or not to cease U.S. purchase of Russian oil —estimated at 22 million gallons a day. Political affiliation aside, his failure to do so in the face of Russian aggression in Ukraine could be the final straw in the minds of the U.S. citizenry across the spectrum. Ideologically and morally speaking,

Just when you think the Biden administration couldn’t possibly get worse, it finds a way. For more than a decade, American presidents stood by while Russian strongman Vladimir Putin had his way with Ukraine. Indeed, going back to the fall of the Soviet Union when Bill Clinton supported the nuclear disarmament of Ukraine, U.S. presidents have had a particular blind spot when it comes to Ukraine. An independent nation on the border of a country that has always seen that nation as one of its possessions could have used an independent nuclear deterrent. But Clinton and then George W. Bush were too busy creating a post-cold war architecture of peace to be concerned about Ukraine. And that’s where Vladimir Putin entered the picture. That “architecture” included solemn guarantees

All the president’s woes stem from the Biden Doctrine.
