Disgraced former Democratic senator and “Saturday Night Live” fixture Al Franken is considering running for office again, calling the idea “tempting” four years after he resigned following multiple sexual misconduct allegations. “Do you have it in your bones or in your blood to jump back into the political arena and run for elective office again?” Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart asked Franken in a podcast interview this week. “I don’t know,” Franken said. “I certainly loved my time in the Senate. I loved the job. I got a lot done. I was able to accomplish things I couldn’t accomplish anywhere

"Tempting" is what keeps useless old fossils like Ted Kennedy, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Susan Collins, Maxine Waters and other assorted dinosaurs sitting in Congress long after their sell-by dates. Get out Franken, the last thing Congress needs is another libtard pervert.

Al, you've already had two Bar Mitzvah presents that you squandered: Your "Air America" disaster and your dubious election as a MN senator (who resigned in disgrace, BTW). Al suffers from a face for radio and a voice for TV. He was (and is) a no-talent hack and leftist political gadfly. It's tough trying to be a comedy writer when you're not funny. Paraphrasing your Stuart Smalley schtick: Al's annoying enough, dim enough (and serial groper). And doggone it, hardly anyone likes him.

ATLANTA — Top Georgia lawmakers have signaled that proposals to allow the wealthy, predominately white Buckhead neighborhood to secede from Atlanta are dead, at least for this year. (Snip) Business leaders have been working to tamp down the possibility that Georgia’s largest city would fracture, an event likely to carry ugly racial overtones and make bondholders nervous about the ability of Georgia cities to repay their debts. Ralston’s comments follow interviews given Thursday by Republican Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan making clear his opposition to the affluent neighborhood north of downtown leaving the city. Duncan had already kneecapped the chances of

New York is the widely recognized fashion capital of the United States, and it may soon use that influence to combat climate change. A bill, which has been introduced in both houses of the state legislature, would require large clothing companies to disclose and reduce their environmental footprints. The latest push comes amid the ongoing rollout of top designers’ latest outfits at New York City Fashion Week, which wraps next Wednesday. The Fashion Sustainability and Social Accountability Act, known as the Fashion Act for short, would force clothing and apparel manufacturers with more than $100 million in annual sales to

This unwanted attention has also renewed questions about the media’s relative lack of interest in the younger Biden’s highly questionable business interests during the 2020 presidential election. Canada’s capital declared a state of emergency Sunday as police struggled to rein in ongoing protests against vaccine mandates. Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson, who declared the emergency, said in a statement that the increasingly rowdy demonstrations posed a “serious danger and threat to the safety and security of residents.” Hundreds of trucks continued to occupy the downtown area near Canada’s parliament with no sign that the protesters planned to leave. The protests started in reaction to Canadian and U.S. laws that went into effect in January, requiring truckers crossing the border to be fully vaccinated. They have since morphed into
