Illegal immigrant who allegedly drew swastikas
in DC Union Station won't be deported: ICE

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said it will not seek to deport an illegal immigrant who allegedly drew swastikas in Washington D.C.’s Union Station and who has previously been deported four times — with the agency citing the capital’s "sanctuary city" policies. Geraldo Pando, a Mexican national, was arrested last month for vandalism and is accused of having drawn the Nazi symbols a day after International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The incident is being investigated as a possible "hate crime."

Just because Washington DC has decided that they are a sanctuary city, does not mean that illegal immigrant criminals should be exempt from federal laws that would otherwise apply to regular US citizens. If I had done the same crime, you can be sure that sanctuary city policy would not have applied to me and the DC government would have made me a poster child for hate crimes. Deport him anyway as he should not have been here. Apparently the Mayor, city council, and citizens of DC enjoy and endorse crime by illegal aliens. Any federal funding for crime prevention should be withdrawn as the DC government is not enforcing federal laws.

If only this illegal had entered the Capitol on Jan 6th 21 to draw his swastikas, he would be in solitary confinement awaiting deportation. Then again, as an illegal alien he would not have been treated like a US citizen. Rather, he would have been Immediately released and flown to the US city of his choice while using his arrest warrant to pass through TSA airport security. Ah, to be an illegal alien in America.

There is no reason to deport any miscreant to Mexico while Biden still reigns. Attach a parachute, give instructions and twenty bucks, and chuck him out somewhere over Libya.

Fewer than 10,000 people are using CNN+ on a daily basis two weeks into its existence, according to people familiar with the matter. The people spoke with CNBC on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss nonpublic data. CNN+ launched on March 29. The subscription news streaming service, which charges $5.99 a month or $59.99 annually, only became available on Roku on Monday and still isn’t on Android TV. Still, the paltry audience casts doubt on the future of the application following the recently completed combination of Discovery and WarnerMedia into Warner Bros. Discovery.

A federal judge rejected a new trial for Ghislaine Maxwell, who argued her sex trafficking case was tainted after it was revealed that one juror did not disclose he was a victim of child sex abuse. Judge Alison Nathan of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York upheld Maxwell's conviction in a decision Friday. "His failure to disclose his prior sexual abuse during the jury selection process was highly unfortunate, but not deliberate," Nathan wrote. "The Court further concludes that Juror 50 harbored no bias toward the Defendant and could serve as a fair and impartial juror."

U.S. Navy officials have said a warship can’t be deployed because its commander has refused the COVID-19 vaccine. The service said an East Coast guided-missile destroyer is “out of commission” after a Florida federal judge ruled that the Navy and Marine Corps cannot remove its officer for being unvaccinated against COVID-19. The warship now remains docked in Norfolk, Virginia. It comes after U.S. District Judge Steven Merryday, a George H. W. Bush nominee, ruled on Feb. 2 to bar Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and all other military officials from taking punitive action against the unnamed Navy officer, who sought religious exemptions to the military’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

The Secret Service is telling Republican investigators that it cannot find communications related to Hunter Biden’s travels for 2010, 2011, or 2013 — when President Joe Biden was the vice president. Republican Sens. Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin sent the Secret Service a letter last month seeking unredacted records tied to Hunter Biden’s travels between January 2009 and January 2017. They asked for full travel records and criticized the agency for years of “inappropriate redactions” — especially related to a controversial Kazakhstan trip in 2014. The senators also lamented that three years of documents seemed to be missing entirely.

The Biden administration missed another deadline to hold quarterly onshore oil drilling lease sales after a federal court ruled it was legally required to do so. The Department of the Interior (DOI) defied the June 2021 court ruling which ordered the administration to halt its ban on new oil and gas leases, the Western Energy Alliance — a fossil fuel industry group that challenged the ban — said Wednesday. In August 2021, the DOI vowed to publish notices of competitive sales in December and hold a lease sale 45 days later, two promises it failed to keep, in court filings.
