Georgetown University professor C. Christine Fair tweeted that "white men" who defend Justice Kavanaugh, “deserve miserable deaths while feminists laugh as they take their last gasps” and then “we castrate their corpses and feed them to swine.”
In response, Georgetown helpfully clarified that Fair's belief that white men who support due process should be killed and castrated were “not the views of the University", but pointed out that, “our policy does not prohibit speech based on the person presenting ideas or the content of those ideas, even when those ideas may be difficult, controversial or objectionable."

Comedian-actress Milana Vayntrub, who is known to millions of TV viewers for playing cheerful saleswoman “Lily” in AT&T’s ubiquitous wireless commercials, has penned a personal essay in which she expresses gratitude for abortion, describing her own experience terminating her unwanted child as “no big deal.”
She also describes women as “all of us with a uterus” and abortions as a form of “essential health care.” “Over the past decade, I’ve hardly thought about my abortion, except for when I think of those who may not have access to one,” she wrote in an essay for The Daily Beast.

In late January, news broke of multiple instances of the Capitol Police appearing to spy on Republican congressional members. Those actions followed the rank politicization of the force that took place after January 6th, including the expansion of its intelligence-gathering mission in areas that are, at best, questionable. (snip) Another disturbing example of that has emerged via The Federalist, this time involving Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX). According to a police report filed by a USCP officer, Nehls’ office was entered without permission and his work materials were photographed because they appeared “suspicious.”

The critically panned Warner Bros. sequel, which bombed at the box office, garnered a total of four Razzie nominations, including nods for worst picture of the year and worst sequel. James scored another nomination in the category of worst screen couple, which he shares with “any Warner cartoon character (or Time-Warner product) he dribbles on.”
Space Jam: A New Legacy was a box office bomb, grossing $162.9 million worldwide on an estimated budget of $150 million. The movie was widely derided by mainstream critics, who called out the studio’s blatant recycling of WarnerMedia’s intellectual property.

President Joe Biden’s top science adviser, Eric Lander, bullied and demeaned his subordinates and violated the White House’s workplace policy, an internal White House investigation recently concluded, according to interviews and an audio recording obtained by POLITICO.
The two-month investigation found “credible evidence” that Lander — a Cabinet member and director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy who the White House touts as a key player in the pandemic response — was “bullying” toward his then-general counsel, Rachel Wallace, according to a recorded January briefing on the investigation’s findings.

Last week, the singer India Arie added her voice to the other artists who have asked that their music be pulled from Spotify in protest of podcast host Joe Rogan. In an Instagram story, Arie shared a video compilation of Rogan saying the n-word multiple times over the years.
I appreciate Arie and respect how she must have felt when she saw the video of Joe. I grew up with my mother listening to her in the living room. I know her music, and I respect her as a woman and as a Black woman. But I also believe we can have a difference of opinion.

Rumble on Monday offered Joe Rogan $100 million over four years with zero content restrictions if he brings his show over to their platform.
“We stand with you, your guests, and your legion of fans in desire for real conversation. So we’d like to offer you 100 million reasons to make the world a better place,” Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski wrote. “How about you bring all your shows to Rumble, both old and new, with no censorship, for 100 million bucks over four years?” he added.
“This is our chance to save the world. And yes, this is totally legit.”

Everything we ever needed to know about Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski we saw firsthand in 2010 when she lost the primary race to Republican Joe Miller and refused to give up her seat.
Senator Murkowski lost the 2010 primary, then abandoned her party affiliation and ran on a write-in platform permitting thousands of Democrats to vote for her in a subsequent three-way general election. Murkowski is a Democrat Party installed Republican member of the UniParty, the most obvious example of the illusion of choice in politics.

If Muslim martyrs (aka suicide bombers) are rewarded with 72 supernatural concubines in heaven, what do female martyrs get? This age-old question was recently aired once again. According to a Jan. 12 report, Maulana Sajid Rashidi, President of the All India Imam Association, said during a televised interview that “72 hoors are made available for men in jannat (Islamic heaven) as a reward for their ‘good deeds’ on earth.”

CNN is dying. Its president, Jeff Zucker, was just fired. (Or, rather, he “resigned.”) The network’s viewership is plummeting, and fewer than 500,000 people on average tuned in last month. (snip) What I Saw Behind the Scenes at CNN (snip) When you met Turner, with his smile, pencil mustache, and an unsurpassed ability to speak his mind, he instantly mesmerized you. I went to dinner a few times with him and then-wife Jane Fonda. In their Bugatti restaurant we had bison steaks and talked about his growing global news empire.
Turner could get angry and was even known to throw phones,

There really isn’t an adequate way to encapsulate what the Bureau of Labor and Statistics has done with their reported January jobs result [Main Data Here]. If you want a deep weeds review of the actuarial scheme deployed READ THIS ARTICLE.
In my lifetime of reviewing data and analytics, I have never reviewed a level of statistical manipulation that even comes close to this. (snip) What the BLS produced today will likely go down in the annals of actuarial history as one of the most comprehensively fraudulent manipulations of labor and statistics in history.
