states for low-tax or no-tax havens mostly
governed by Republicans during pandemic:

The great migration during the pandemic has seen Americans flee high-tax Democrat-run states and flock to Republican-led low-tax or no-income-tax states, a study by The Tax Foundation found. 'People move to states with low-income tax for a multitude of reasons, sometimes it's the most direct and obvious reason that it reduces their own tax liability,' the vice president of state projects at the Tax Foundation, Jared Walczak, told Yahoo. 'Especially now that people have more capacity to move where they want, that will be a higher priority for some,' he added.

Judging from what has happened in Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio, they haven't left their political affiliations behind - Damn it!

Sadly, they are like locusts. Locusts stay in a field until they eat every bit of green, leaving nothing but a dead brown field where it was once green and lush. Then they move on to the next field and repeat.
So many of these people abandoning the horrible Demon-Rat cesspool states move to good conservative Republican states, with low taxes and booming economies. But they continue to vote for Demon-Rats, until they take power and destroy that state too. Then they move on to a new conservative state and repeat their idiocy there. Sadly, lie-berals just don't have enough working brain cells to realize that if you keep doing what they are doing, they are always going to get the same horrible outcomes!!!!!

They think they are missionaries rather than refugees. NOTHING they did, said, believed or thought back in their communist state is applicable in the free state they infested, but you will never get them to admit it. So they spread the rot.

I do not believe many of these blue state people. They are fleeing tyrannical Democrat-run states with high-taxes, high-crime and oppressive mandates. When they come to sensibly run Republican states, they vote for Progressives/Democrats. Why do they bother to leave their blue states? If they love Progressive/Democrat policies they should stay there, not mess up sensibly run states.

Most of the moving people are productive and have money and have the where with all to leave a bad environment to where they have more favorable conditions. The theme of the posters here is that they are going to take the philosophy of more governmental intrusion with them is unlikely. Case in point, I live in Illinois that is fully controlled by dimocrats yet I live in a county that has not elected a dimocrat in the last 50 years. So if I choose to leave the state I will not be taking a liberal point of view with me to metastasize the state to which I move, I will remain with my view of morals, freedom of religion, gun rights, low taxes, etc.

Here in central Texas, I have observed two distinct types of blue-state refugees. One type is young techies who have come to Texas following the huge influx of new or expanding tech companies for jobs. These do tend to be Marxist types who think and vote Democrat. But more are coming here to flee oppressive taxation and oppressive restrictions in blue states (mainly California). Most population growth in Texas now seems to be suburban, since cities here can no longer readily expand their geographic boundaries. The true political blue state refugees seem to be in suburbia. Since cities here have virtually no sovereign powers, the overall effect on the state is positive.

I'm not so sure the Democrats who spent Thousands of Dollars to move from a Blue State will bring their Democrat votes with them. Governor DeSantis announced that there were 280,000 more Registered Democrats than Republicans when he was Elected. Now, the first time since he took Office, Florida has more Republican Voters than Democrat. So, it looks like those who moved here have had enough of Democrat Rule! Lockdowns and Mask Mandates have taught them a hard lesson. I don't think they want to go back to that Lifestyle!

Two of my sisters moved from Indiana to Texas which would be a red state to red state move. They are both Republicans and they vote. Both moved down there for job opportunities. There is a nursing shortage and nurses can find jobs anywhere now and they wanted to live in Texas.

I pray that there are more red voters fleeing their tyrannical taxed and ruled blue states to offset the libidiots like my husband and I fled years ago. After lifetime of fighting for and voting for Conservatives in the People's Republik of Konnectikut, we threw in the towel and left it to the libidiots to live in the libbiehell they created. I pray for my Florida.

Eight days before pandemic was declared we came home to Texas to retire. Our Deep Blue state of CT was not mentioned in this article. Had 21 years of high state income tax, 5 FIGURE house tax, car tax to the town and state license plate tax on the same car. Feel like our votes will actually count as we have R-Congressman and 2 R Senators. Not thrilled with Cornyn, but better than Blumenthal or Murphy! Feels great to buy a case of water and not pay a bottle deposit on each of 24 bottles. CT raised to 10 cents a bottle this year, and banned plastic grocery bags after charging 10 cents per bag for the past 2 years. Were lucky enough to sell our house, as people fleeing NY are invading CT in droves, whilst conservatives are fleeing! There are social media pages full of people leaving CT. New voter registration cards arrived last week to replace expired ones.No way are we ever voting Beto!

What’s NOT being talked about is the fleeing from Red States that is starting to take place by these “Missionaries” who get there and find most people willing to dismiss their ideas and tell them to shut up. They move looking to be heroes of the cause and find that people are deliriously happy with freedom, guns, and Christianity. They’re taking their ball and going back home. It’s a beautiful thing.

My only fear is...these jump shippers bring their socialist ideas with them...it happened to New Hampshire when the Massachusetites left Massachusetts because the ruling democrats taxed them into the cellar...also Vermont...ole Bernie baby ran from Brooklyn ...New York and declared himself a republican in Vermont...he won the races and then when he had enough power for himself and his wife...he changed to independent...and then when it was safe...he became a democrat...just like the good ole days in Brooklyn...

#1, that's the problem. These idiots can't take the heat from the commies they voted into office so they move to conservative states, vote the same way, and destroy those states. They're like parasites sucking the blood out of their hosts. When the host dies they move on to another victim.

Pelosi should be kept in the public mind whenever this subject comes up. For she has bought herself property in Florida, and I doubt it isn't just for the benefits that Floridians are enjoying at the moment.

Looking at that map and seeing it on the ground here in Idaho, we are the fastest growing State in the Union. Almost all of those moving here are from California and they came here for Freedom! Our small little church is having their first Women's Retreat since Covid and 400 women are going!
We went to a political dinner for Rep. Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin for Governor (Trump supported) and the place was crowded with people from California! The conservatives who left CA and came to Idaho are making the place more conservative by being active and voting. The two local radio stations are mostly talk and conservative. The one liberal area, City, is where the University is. (brainwashing center) There is a move to change Boise to a more conservative City (bad Mayor who lied to get elected.)
Another sign that the population growth in Idaho is not going blue, is Church growth here. Bible churches all over the area are full on Sundays and during the week. Many churches have multiple services on Sunday mornings to handle the crowds. And it's not just one denomination that's thriving. That's healthy!
There is such a demand for housing here that new homes are being built in the farming area that used to be fields of corn or sugar beets. But we do have a problem. It's run by Rinos like Governor Chicken Little and other State Legislator Rinos but we're working to get them out...the good old boys that are only out for themselves....even Risch and Crapo, our two Rino Senators. Charlie Kirk said it best, when a State is only one party, you got trouble.
All in all, we miss the Ocean, but we love Idaho, the Freedom, the 2nd Amendment, and no masks, no mandates, no sheltering in place that we endured in CA.

My brother lives in Tennessee and they are coming there too. In Tennessee the older people who have retired and are fleeing high taxes and shutdowns tend to vote Republican. The brain dead young ones stick to the progs even though that is what is making their lives hell.

Not only are these people escaping their inept, corrupt and irresponsible blue state democrat governments, they are escaping the huge debt and unfunded pensions that the governments and unions have created for themselves. States already on the brink of bankruptcy will have fewer suckers to pay it all off. Illinois could be the worst but California is close.

whoa. It isn't just the high tax situation. People leave Blue States because of the winter weather, the overall cost of living, better jobs, AND friendlier people, etc.
I have been in Okla, Co., Tx, etc and it is a World of difference from New York state.
