When some has-been hippies decided to see if they could leverage themselves into renewed fame by attacking Joe Rogan for daring to post interviews countering Anthony Fauci, Rogan groveled. He apologized and agreed to have warnings posted on his content. Once you start down that road, you’ve already lost. Alert people have noticed that 70 of Rogan’s podcasts have mysteriously vanished. It seems that they’ve done so because in older podcasts he offended today’s racial sensibilities. One wonders what will go next. Joe Rogan is far and away the most popular media personality in America.

Never apologize. Never back down. Never give an inch. Attack, attack, attack. It's the only thing they respect or fear. Give an inch and they'll take everything you have, cancel you, sue you, censor you, leave you with nothing, and never stop shaming you for it.

So many on the right are just like the ideologues on the left: toe the party line or you are scum, you are corrupt, you are nothing! Rogan did not grovel. Listen to his statement on his website. I disagree with a lot of Rogan's political ideas, most of them, actually. But I love it-- absolutely love it-- that he listens to people from all over the political spectrum, listens respectfully and intelligently, and has genuine conversations. Did he support Sanders? He did. He also supported Tulsi Gabbard. He both praised and criticised Trump, praising his policies snd criticising his petty narcissism. He has relentlessly criticised the lunacy of the left-- which is why they released their attack dogs on him. The right represents the ideals of freedom of expression and intellectual thoroughness. Settling differences through rational debate. Let's not become what we reject from the left.

I'm sure he's very angry, but let's get real here -- $100 million is $100 million. Maybe if he gets kicked off the platform, he'll leave with a portion of the money instead of nothing if he breaks the contract on his own. His serious podcasts (R. Malone, J. Peterson) are terrific. I hope there is another chapter to this story.

Homeless encampments in Austin, Texas, were legalized in 2021, but the people of this fast-growing tech mecca have had second and third thoughts about what looked like a good idea on paper but turned out to be an eyesore under bridges. Austin politicos have just finished removing virtually all remaining visible homeless camps. Other cities are taking notice. The journey to this current outcome was far from a straight path. Put bluntly, it was a dizzying display of waffling “wokeness.” In 2019, the city council of Austin had the bright idea to legalize homeless camps. Whoopi Goldberg (born Caryn Johnson and most decidedly not Jewish), de-Judaized the Holocaust, a strikingly antisemitic act. After a deserved uproar, she apologized but that’s not good enough. Just as Sharon Osborne and Roseanne Barr got fired for offending racial shibboleths, Goldberg needs to go. Elsewhere we learn that Israel’s positive test rate is a staggering 29.63 percent. This means that nearly one third of all Covid tests taken by Israelis are coming back positive. Israel is obviously a country in deep Covid trouble with the SARS-CoV-2 virus running out of control in that nation. Arguably the USSR crumbled because everybody was lying to everybody else, so that nothing could be believed, including (especially) economic transactions. Elizabeth Warren, a mediocre law professor who parlayed a fake Native American identity into a gig at Harvard and a seat in the United States Senate, thought that, once in government, she’d try her hand at censorship. When Joseph Mercola and Ronnie Cummins wrote a book about COVID with which Warren disagreed, she used her position as a Senator to try to get Amazon to censor the book.
