U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said capitalism was 'not a redeemable system' for Americans and represents a 'pursuit of profit' at all costs run by an elite minority. The New York democratic socialist slammed the US economy during an interview with Yahoo Finance's Andy Serwer on Thursday, explaining that it was controlled by a small group of capitalist who make money and 'don't have to work.' 'They can control our labor. They can control massive markets that they dictate and can capture governments,' she said. 'And they can essentially have power over the many.

Well, that certainly explains all the people trying to flee the US to go live in communist countries. You know, like all those people building rafts to risk their lives to cross the 93 miles of Atlantic Ocean to accept the privilege of living in Cuba's worker's paradise [with their free healthcare and 100 percent literacy rate]. If she'd like to move there permanently, I'd gladly pay her airfare and help her pack.

Boston University should be so proud to see how idiotic and uninformed their graduates are on reality. Who is briefing this economic hooker on what to say? Has she ever been outside the US to see what the real world looks like? Our infrastructure needs fixed because the Democrats have personally pocketed all the monies designated for infrastructure thru fake front companies like Solyndra and others. What a loser!

There are "Reasons" why never in Human history have part-time barmaids ever been elevated to positions where they control the lives and livelihoods other people. The mere fact that she "earned" a degree in Economics, she still has not paid the Bill for, and learned so little that she was working jobs that do not even need a Highschool graduate to perform..proves that "Those things she knows? They just ain't so".

Wow, that sounds just like what you would hear in a "Communism 101" class at college!!!!! I guess AOC thinks that the government should rule everything. Anyone with more than 6 working brain cells knows exactly how that has worked out every time it has been tried. Starvation, massive poverty, shortages of all goods and services, rampant hyperinflation, etc, etc. Of course, there isn't a lie-beral alive that has more than 6 working brain cells (or they clearly could not be a lie-beral), so that leaves AOC out of this discussion!!!

This person is either a parrot or ventriloquist's dummy. That cavity between her ears contains a few cocktail napkins and a lot of other people's words. She isn't willing to put her money where her mouth is, and go visit Cuba for a few months. Keep her away from the Castro goon handlers and direct her straight to the favela where the real cuban citizens are. Then she can see with her own disbelieving eyes what food shortages do to people, as many Cubans are malnourished. They can't even fish in the ocean without paying an exorbitantly high tax. Hey AOC, imagine living on an island in the Caribbean....and not being able to fish. But the healthcare is free, right? Right you are-you get a free bottle of aspirin to treat a septic wound! Her act is all bluster and accusational remarks that a 5th grader would likely make.

You are confused, AOC. That's communism you're talking about. American Capitalism is fine so long as the leaders in government don't cheat, or pad their pockets - but you have personal experience how THAT, don't you? Every economic system is at the mercy of those who lead it... or does the fact most of Kim Jong Un's peasants fill their bellies with grass not voncern you? Xi's a genocidal tyrant. Putin a puffed up Narcissist. No economy based on Communism has ever succeeded, any time it has been tried. Communists like to bring up Jesus, as an example - but it doesn't march. Jesus ate what his folowers ate, dressed like his folowers dressed, and left money in the hands of Judas... who relatively speaking lived high on the hog. Judas is your typical communist leader, not Jesus.

This tweet has a degree in economics? Of course the wealthy like capitalism. How do you they got rich? Capitalism can work for anyone who has the work ethic and an idea for a product or service that people want. The wealthy create jobs, which created the middle class who then pay taxes and create government jobs. Then government jobs suck the life out of the middle class while producing nothing but poverty.

Been in a civil conversation with a successful self employed middle age businessman from Ohio. He was upset over Marjorie Taylor Greene being promised a better committee assignment than the ones stripped from her by Pelosi by Kevin McCarthy if the GOP wins the House. It is her Aanon stance that gets him. He finds her deranged. I reminded him of the Squad, by name, and then Eric Swalwell remaining on the Intelligence Committee after being found out he had an affair with Fang Fang, a Chinese spy. I tried to tell him the defunding of the police hasn't worked for any of us has driven the Democrats further Left and MTG is an equal force to the Right. I don't think he knew any of it. He just doesn't want MTG re-elected. I'm not so sure I can defend all of MTG's talking points. But, as I told him, she is responsible to her constituents. They are the ones that will return her or not. I like my congressman just fine albeit I'd rather he stay out of secret rescue missions to Afghanistan. I informed him no one really knows if McCarthy will be Speaker even if the GOP win. For all we know it will be Donald J. Trump. I tried to explain the constitution to him. Pretty sure he thought it hyperbole.

If AOC would watch some episodes of Shark Tank, she might understand the beauty of capitalism, not just in the contestants, but with the sharks, themselves. Each one of the regular sharks came from nothing, and became billionaires, not by cheating anyone (except Mark Cuban) but by hard work, imagination, and producing a product or service. The two athletes who have been guest sharks, A Rod and Charles Barkley, invested their athlete income, instead of blowing it on bling, broads, baby mommas, fancy cars. Each of the contestants has a story to tell, demonstrating how one's effort can yield a product or service that can be expanded to employ lots of people. I doubt AOC could understand it, but I wish she would watch some episodes. She is contributing nothing to society, unlike everyone else.

The New York Times warned Saturday that Democrats are setting a dangerous precedent with the January 6 Committee, exceeding the constitutional powers of Congress in a way that Republicans can use when they take back the majority. The Times‘ Michael S. Schmidt — who shared a Pulitzer Prize for the discredited Russia “collusion” story — and Luke Broadwater — reported that the committee ” is borrowing techniques from federal prosecutions, employing aggressive tactics typically used against mobsters and terrorists … [to] develop evidence that could prompt a criminal case”

What do the Lincoln Project RINOs (basically Democrats at this point) do besides make fools of themselves in their never-ending quest to defeat the bad orange man with some ridiculous, pro-Democrat scheme or another?Very little. Sexually harass minors, I suppose. But, other than the whole pedo thing, all the Lincoln Project does is try to help the Democrats by slandering Republicans, as we saw when it staged a fake white supremacist rally to try to bring down now-Governor Glenn Youngkin’s campaign in Virginia.None of those attempts have worked,

Joe Biden’s approval rating among African-Americans has dropped significantly during his presidency, as his approval overall continues to slide.A focus group of African Americans in the states of Michigan, Texas, and Georgia, conducted by Democratic surveyor Navigator Research, found that Biden’s approval among black people fell 10 percentage points over the course of the year 2021, from 86% in January 2021, shortly after Biden took office, to 76% in 2022. Even more surprising, Biden’s approval among black voters under 35 declined by a full 25% over the past year, from 88% in 2021 to just 63% in 2022.

Barack Obama has been pictured at his new multimillion-dollar Hawaii mansion for the very first time, but he did not yet appear to be on island time. Far from being in beach mode, Obama appeared to be deep in conversation as he spoke with workers from local building firm Armstrong Builders, who are currently constructing his beachfront compound on the island of Oahu. Dressed in beige pants and a grey polo shirt, Obama looked tense as he was pictured speaking with builders and architects. The former president could be seen scowling as he chatted Saturday with at least four developers who were working on the project.

Former President Donald Trump lashed out at his vice president for saying he had 'no right' to overturn Biden's 2020 win, claiming he is 'right and everyone knows it.' Trump, 75, bashed Mike Pence, 62, in another political row over the 2020 election results, calling the former VP an 'automatic conveyor belt for the Old Crow Mitch McConnell.' 'Just saw Mike Pence’s statement on the fact that he had no right to do anything with respect to the Electoral Vote Count, other than being an automatic conveyor belt for the Old Crow Mitch McConnell to get Biden elected President as quickly as possible,' Trump wrote in a statement.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk accused GoFundMe of hypocrisy after the company canceled the Freedom Convoy fundraiser on Friday after it actively supported a campaign for the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest in Seattle. The crowdfunding platform claimed the convoy fundraiser - which raised $10million Canadian dollars ($8 million USD) in support of truckers protesting against COVID-19 vaccine mandates - violated its terms of service 'which prohibits the promotion of violence and harassment.' GoFundMe plans to distribute the remaining $9million of donated funds to 'credible and established charities' that were reportedly chosen by the convoy organizers and have been verified by the platform.

The US State Department is waiving sanctions on Iran's civilian nuclear program in the hope that Tehran will return to the 2015 nuclear agreement, a senior official said Friday. As U.S. negotiators head back to Vienna for what could be a make-or-break session, Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed several sanctions waivers related to Iran's civilian nuclear activities. The move reverses the Trump administration's decision to rescind them. The resumption of the waiver, ended by Trump in 2020, 'would be essential to ensuring Iran's swift compliance' if a new deal on controlling Tehran's nuclear program can be reached in talks in Vienna, the State Department official said

Vitamin D may help fight off coronavirus after all, a study suggests. The jury has been out on the 'sunshine vitamin' since early in the pandemic, with conflicting findings muddying the waters. Papers that did find a link were deemed not rigorous enough and not definitive. But a new study—this time in Israel—claims to have the most conclusive evidence yet. Previous research has been criticised for only looking at vitamin D levels when the Covid patient was already in hospital.(Snip)To overcome this limitation, in their latest study, researchers from Bar Ilan University and the Galilee Medical Center looked at patient records up to two years before

Chris Wallace recently left his long-time, top position as the host of “Fox News Sunday.” Being the principled newsman that he is, he chose to run over to the shining jewel of journalism that is CNN to be part of their new streaming service. Since that announcement, we haven’t heard much of anything from Wallace. But apparently, he’s speaking up about Jeff Zucker’s departure. As RedState reported, the former CNN head was recently forced out after he failed to disclose a long-term affair with his chief lieutenant (Snip) Per Radar Online, which broke the Zucker story weeks before Zucker’s resignation, Wallace is not happy about the development.

Karl Rove is, once again, beating the war drums. He is ready to send 18-year-olds like my son to fight nuclear Russia over Ukraine’s border so that he and the other neocons can talk like tough guys on TV. On Jan. 28, Karl Rove shared an article on his Twitter page written by Noah Rothman attacking American populists who are opposed to sending our troops to war with Russia. My view is that Mr. Rove despises “America First.” He loves war and the global economy that all these wars prop up.

Aspen is hosting the National Brotherhood of Skiers, which is advertised to be “the largest black ski group in the United States.” That’s nice. Welcome to Aspen, my friends. A hearty welcome was not enough, however, for Mike Kaplan, the liberal white CEO of Aspen Skiing Company. He found it necessary to issue a memo to all employees instructing them how to behave around black people. Kaplan instructed employees to greet the black guests “lovingly and intentionally.” He says employees ordinarily treat all guests this way but instructed them “to make an even greater effort” with the black ones. He goes on to tell employees the reason for this special effort for blacks.
