The New York Times sued the State Department on Monday, seeking access to US embassy emails that mention President Joe Biden's son Hunter, court filings show. In the lawsuit, filed at a federal court in Manhattan, lawyers for The Times requested access to emails sent by officials at the US embassy in Romania between 2015 and 2019 that contain keywords including "Hunter Biden," the filings show.

The NY Times also has hard-hitting Journalists investigating the purported connection between the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church and unverified reports that wild bears have been using National Forests as toilets.

Screw the Times! The word has come down from somewhere that it’s time to dump Biden. They’re a dollar short and a day late.

Then he will be unable to be touched. Once he is office he will be unable to be jailed. Which is what he AND Nancy need to be. Let out the Jan 6 people and put them in there.

I should have added that it’s news only when the Times says it is. The NY Post had it first, and because it was the Post, there was nothing to see. Wait until the Times says the 2020 election was stolen from Trump. Ha!

Like the NYT will really do an article on the criminality of Hunter Biden and the Biden crime family. Perhaps one of these documents show how Hunter saved a family from a burning building. That will make page 1 above the fold

#3 Interesting... But Pelosi's son is a white man who dated a slumlord female. To stay out of jail and take his mother's seat he had better start trying on skirts, getting in touch with his newfound Native American heritage, and traceback his African bloodline. This could be fun to watch. He might prefer skipping the country to someplace without an extradition treaty... depending on how much he likes skirts.

The enterprising Times may have decided to be the first to go after Biden & Co. Wouldn’t that be refreshing. But how will they weave Trump into their Hunter Biden exposé? Or do they smell Biden’s impending demise and have decided it could benefit them to be first to pounce?

What possesses a person to travel to another country for a luxury vacation only to complain it doesn’t mimic the dystopian hellscape they came from? I wouldn’t know, but perhaps Josh Freed, a writer for the Montreal Gazette, can offer some insight. That’s exactly what he did after vacationing in Florida and then returning to his home in Quebec, Canada. The obvious COVID hysteric penned an entire piece detailing the horrors of freedom that await those traveling to the Sunshine State, and it’s one of the funniest things I’ve read in a long time.

Pooja Makhijani has written a piece for the New York Times about menstruation. Here are a few suggested edits for Makhijani’s piece, free of charge: First, the sub-head: “Young people want alternatives to disposable tampons and pads — and they’re not embarrassed to talk about it.” Are “young people” looking for alternatives to disposable menstrual products, or are young women? (Surely the latter since only women menstruate.) “Still, the average menstruator can use thousands of tampons in their lifetime.” “Menstruator”? Excuse me, but the word is woman. (Also, “their” should be her.)

When President Biden pounded his hand on a podium this week and declared “I'm tired of being quiet!” when he talked about changing Senate rules to pass voters rights legislation, Democrats immediately noticed a shift. In five words, Biden — known for working across the aisle and his relationships with Republicans —was telegraphing that the new year was ushering in a more forceful and liberated version of himself. “It’s about damn time,” said one top Democratic strategist. “It’s like they kept him on a leash for far too long. No one elected restrained Joe Biden. We elected real Joe Biden.”

Just over a year ago, millions of energized young people, women, voters of color and independents joined forces to send Joe Biden to the White House. But 12 months into his presidency, many describe a coalition in crisis. Leading voices across Biden’s diverse political base openly decry the slow pace of progress on key campaign promises. The frustration was especially pronounced this past week after Biden’s push for voting rights legislation effectively stalled, intensifying concerns in his party that fundamental democratic principles are at risk and reinforcing a broader sense that the president is faltering at a moment of historic consequence.

After the Omicron variant began spreading through the United States just before the holidays, President Biden unleashed what he described as a sweeping effort to bolster the country's defenses. He pledged reinforcements for overwhelmed hospitals, more home tests to screen for infections and new investments in vaccine access. But little seems to be slowing Omicron's spread, despite Biden's insistence that he's "confident we are on the right track" as the pandemic enters its third year. Although vaccines are preventing what could have otherwise been a devastating death toll, hospitals are being pushed to their limits. Meanwhile, Americans are frustrated with confusing public health guidance...

Generally speaking, I am not a fan of polls. For one, I’ve never been polled by anyone. For another, the number of people being polled often strikes me as too small a sample from which to draw broad conclusions. Also, those samples more often than not tend to oversample one group, Democrats, let’s say, over another group, which again leads to questions of accuracy. Bottom line, I don’t trust ‘em and tend to ignore them in preference to the only poll that actually counts, the election itself. I’ve often asked myself, what would I do if I were to be contacted to participate in a poll.
