The New York Times Has a Woman Problem

Original Article

Pooja Makhijani has written a piece for the New York Times about menstruation. Here are a few suggested edits for Makhijani’s piece, free of charge: First, the sub-head: “Young people want alternatives to disposable tampons and pads — and they’re not embarrassed to talk about it.” Are “young people” looking for alternatives to disposable menstrual products, or are young women? (Surely the latter since only women menstruate.) “Still, the average menstruator can use thousands of tampons in their lifetime.” “Menstruator”? Excuse me, but the word is woman. (Also, “their” should be her.)

Comments:

These young environmentally-conscious menstruators sound like a promising market for Cherokee hair tampons. They should ask their Birthing-persons for advice.

I wonder how many biological males would identify themselves as female if they had to menstruate every four weeks for forty or fifty years. (As an aside -- menstruation products should not be subject to a state's sales tax.)

The virus of stupidity is actually more dangerous than covid. It seems a lot of "woke" people are prone to catch it quite easily. There is no known vaccine. s/o I am sick of this effing nonsense.

Just as long as they do not throw the tampon or other cloth into the toilet and cause sewage problem, it is OK. Otherwise, talk to God, get married, raise a family..but not liberal.

They could always go back to what women in the dark ages did, cloth strips that needed to be boiled after use for the next time needed. Disposable feminine products have been a godsend to women, and whoever is telling these young ladies otherwise is an imbecile.

Easy solution: All the Slimes women can become men by taking hormones and getting a "pole" by surgery. No more menstration. They love abnormals anyway.

I've taken up Mall Walking in the morning. No ice. Good temp. One circuit of the indoor mall is a mile. In the men's restroom, I spotted a little basket with tampons and napkins. Yeah. Progressive. Wot?

When President Biden pounded his hand on a podium this week and declared “I'm tired of being quiet!” when he talked about changing Senate rules to pass voters rights legislation, Democrats immediately noticed a shift. In five words, Biden — known for working across the aisle and his relationships with Republicans —was telegraphing that the new year was ushering in a more forceful and liberated version of himself. “It’s about damn time,” said one top Democratic strategist. “It’s like they kept him on a leash for far too long. No one elected restrained Joe Biden. We elected real Joe Biden.”

Just over a year ago, millions of energized young people, women, voters of color and independents joined forces to send Joe Biden to the White House. But 12 months into his presidency, many describe a coalition in crisis. Leading voices across Biden’s diverse political base openly decry the slow pace of progress on key campaign promises. The frustration was especially pronounced this past week after Biden’s push for voting rights legislation effectively stalled, intensifying concerns in his party that fundamental democratic principles are at risk and reinforcing a broader sense that the president is faltering at a moment of historic consequence.

After the Omicron variant began spreading through the United States just before the holidays, President Biden unleashed what he described as a sweeping effort to bolster the country's defenses. He pledged reinforcements for overwhelmed hospitals, more home tests to screen for infections and new investments in vaccine access. But little seems to be slowing Omicron's spread, despite Biden's insistence that he's "confident we are on the right track" as the pandemic enters its third year. Although vaccines are preventing what could have otherwise been a devastating death toll, hospitals are being pushed to their limits. Meanwhile, Americans are frustrated with confusing public health guidance...

President Joe Biden left for vacation earlier this week as the U.S. recorded the highest daily number of new coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic. He concluded that there was “no federal solution” to the problem, and various spin doctors in the media urged Americans not to blame the president. But last year, on the campaign trail and as President-elect, Biden promised specifically and repeatedly that he would make sure the virus was under control.

"When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they're referring to is for white people. This land is stolen land and Black people still aren't free," tweeted Missouri Rep. Cori Bush.

On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Assembly held another election integrity hearing to present evidence of voter fraud and irregularities that have been found in their investigation of the rigged 2020 election. And just like last month’s election hearing, they dropped some serious bombshells. Yesterday’s hearing built on those findings and presented more questions for the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC), which has failed to answer previous questions on the 2020 election. They did however respond to the reported 119,283 active voters who have been registered for over 100 years, but their weak response just didn’t cut it.

The CDC has officially moved the goalposts on what it means to be vaccinated from COVID-19. We all knew this day was coming, even as an onslaught of “fact-checkers” assured us it was “misinformation” to assert such a change was coming publicly. But first, let’s talk about the details. CDC Dir. Rochelle Walensky appeared on CBS News and shared the news that the two-dose regiment will no longer suffice to be considered “fully vaccinated.” Instead, you will need a booster jab in order to be classified as “up to date.” That comes as part of a “pivot” in language by the government, one that many were maligned for predicting.
