Comedian Trevor Noah is suing a New York City hospital and orthopedic surgeon for being 'negligent' during a surgery he underwent last year. In the lawsuit, filed in the New York Supreme Court, Noah claims both the Hospital for Special Surgery as well as Dr. Riley J. Williams were 'careless in failing to treat and care for [him] in a careful and skillful manner.'

But... but... he went to a black doctor. Those are the best of the best, according to the television, and he did not suffer from systemic medical racism as he would under a White doctor.

What was the injury? He was already not funny. Hard to tell anything from the article except that it was maybe appendix removal. Is he suing be cause,as a celebrity, he shouldn't have to have any recovery time? Is it because he couldn't have unlimited opioid medications? Such it up buttercup. You heal slowly like everyone else. Your supply of opioid drugs, if you got them, is limited thanks to drug addicted celebrities.

I agree, Noah is not only un-funny but I automatically dive for the remote just like I do when obnoxious commercials come on. Maybe it's the language barrier. Maybe the doctor felt the same way and removed his tongue. Noah is the black male version of Samantha Bee.

Sometimes, surgeries don’t go right. My surgeon husband had knee surgery in April and his knee is a mess. Swollen still, can not straighten or bend very well. The surgery was done correctly but his body reacted with forming too much scar tissue. It kills me to see him as he waited so long to retire and fix it and have fun. Limited range will be forever. Sometimes surgeries just don’t go as planned. Interested in what Trevor had done?

The article seems to suggest that the lawsuit might involve complications from a hot appendix several years ago. If so, someone needs to tell Noah that an orthopedic surgeon is likely to put the offending organ in traction rather than removing it.

Having gone through a knee replacement, meniscus surgery and shoulder surgery, I can attest there are few orthopedic surgeries that are done where you do not experience quite a bit of pain afterwards, including during rehab. You just can't operate on bones and there not be a minimum of six weeks of pain and discomfort at varying degrees. Maybe he's a whiny baby.

As Biden's White House readied fireworks and burgers for America's annual celebration of nationhood, progressives expressed their views on what the Fourth of July means from the Black American perspective. "When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they're referring to is for white people. Ida B. Wells, born into slavery in 1862 and orphaned at 16, rose to fame as a journalist by shining light on things we didn't want to see — in particular, the horror of lynching. Five thousand Americans were lynched over 90 years, three quarters of them black. The numbers don't account for the notoriety of the practice; rather, the demonic zeal of its practitioners does. Even reading about it will turn your stomach. Do not look at the photos they displayed with pride of charred bodies. Lynch mobs spread terror among non-white people and those who would defend the rule of law.
