Only 50 House members may get to attend President Joe Biden's first State of the Union address as the Omicron surge has resulted in 24 lawmakers getting COVID in one month. On Tuesday, Axios reported that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy told colleagues that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi warned him that she may limit the number of attendees from the House to 25 members per party. Biden will deliver his State of the Union address on March 1. (Photos) McCarthy told Republican leadership about Pelosi's plans - and they were frustrated by them. 1st response should be immediate...100% attendance or zero. Let HIM do it from his custom built taxpayer funded studio set. NOT the "Hallowed Historic Halls" of the Congress. Slight adjustment...NO Concresscritter that has VOTED by proxy will be allowed to attend no matter what.

I'm sure all of the Republicans would love to have that night off -- rather than waste all that time listening to a doddering old senile man mess up the speech his handlers will be writing for him!!! Maybe President Trump can have a rally that night, and they can all go attend that. It will certainly be a lot more fun!!!

Oh, wait, I finally got it. She was only able to find 25 lie-beral Demon-Rats from "safe" districts that aren't up for re-election in November. This way, all the Demon-Rats running in the fall don't have to be seen with Senile Joe biden. They are going to do everything they can to keep biden away from all of the "at risk" Demon-Rats -- which may be all of them given how terrible biden and the Demon-Rats are destroying this republic!!! I'm guessing it will be pretty funny over on the Republican side finding out which 25 have to attend this snooze-fest!!! It would suck to draw that short straw!!!

No doubt Biden will falsely claim in his State of the Union speech that he has created more U.S. jobs then any past US President. The reason that Biden claim is false is that the vast majority of those US jobs were were created before the COVID pandemic hit, and over the last few months are being refilled, most times by the same people who held those jobs before the pandemic started.

What if they gave a SOTU address and nobody came? Better still, why not mock up that studio set across the street from the White House and make it look like the U.S. House chamber? Put in a full House background of cardboard cutout figures, Sgt. Pepper's style, and do the address incognito under a stage name, in aviator shades, taking frequent licks from a cone of chocolate ice cream. Go all the way. Not attending displays lack of respect for the Congressional offices they hold. Many of their constituents will look to see if their representative is present. If half or two-thirds of the dems' seats are empty, all the more reason for the Republicans to fill their seats. The contrast will be striking. Self-respecting political office holders should show respect for the Office of President of the United States, while respectfully tearing into the doddering old fool who occupies it by reason of voter fraud.

For two years, we have endured what the media has described as efforts to defund, reform or otherwise neuter the police, executed initially by rioters and riff-raff in the streets and later by local prosecutors funded by people (George Soros) who are actively hostile to the United States. But that anti-policing frame of reference is not quite right. Most of those engaged on these issues from the left are not primarily anti-police.They are pro-criminal.“Prosecutors” who are the tip of the spear of this pro-criminal movement include district attorneys in San Francisco (Chesa Boudin, the son of not one but two cop killers), New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Boston.

Generally speaking, I am not a fan of polls. For one, I’ve never been polled by anyone. For another, the number of people being polled often strikes me as too small a sample from which to draw broad conclusions. Also, those samples more often than not tend to oversample one group, Democrats, let’s say, over another group, which again leads to questions of accuracy. Bottom line, I don’t trust ‘em and tend to ignore them in preference to the only poll that actually counts, the election itself. I’ve often asked myself, what would I do if I were to be contacted to participate in a poll.

Russian forces are poised to invade Ukraine unless the United States and NATO cave to Vladimir Putin's demands. Reporter Pete Williams said, “Christopher Wray said when he became FBI director, the sheer amount of Chinese spying to steal American technology was a huge surprise.” Wray said, “This one blew me away. And I’m not the kind of guy that uses words like ‘blown away’ easily. We are opening a new China-related counterintelligence investigation about every 12 hours. Special Counsel John Durham is not yet finished with his investigation into the Obamagate scandal, and a new report says his efforts have expanded.
