Former Dolphins coach Flores sues NFL
saying league is run ‘like a plantation’

Former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores is suing three NFL teams and the league itself, which he claims “is racially segregated and is managed much like a plantation”. Flores, who is Black, was surprisingly fired by the Dolphins last month despite leading the team to back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2003. The lawsuit, which was filed in Manhattan federal court on Tuesday, seeks unspecified damages.(Snip)Flores says afterwards he was “treated with disdain and held out as someone who was noncompliant and difficult to work with” and was subsequently cast as an “an angry Black man”. The NFL has long been criticised

Comments:

"You can't fire me, I'm black, and you're racist!" Do they not grasp the optics, or does that not even matter?

Now he will never have to coach again. The NFL will pay the "shut up and go away" money.

First the Rooney Rule, while intentions were good, is dumb. So easy beat this. Second I guess Flores no longer wants to coach in the NFL maybe college too. Programs don't like malcontents. Rule I learned a long time ago is to never hire anyone you can't fire.

If the NFL is racist how did he get hired as a head coach in the first place? He has had seven different coaching and scouting positions over the years. But because he didnt get hired (along with a bunch of other people who also didn't get hired) the NFL is now racist? This is another Kaepernick. He is toxic and will likely never work in the NFL again. The NFL isn't racist. Flores is.

The NFL runs ads disparaging whites. Racism is fundamental ti the NFL now. And since the NFL is admitting that all whites are racist and putting ads out proclaiming it, why not sue for being a non performer? The NFL went all BLM a year ago. Now reap the whirlwind.

Flores is an idiot. There are coaching opportunities that open up every year. Most head coaches do a stint as defense or offense coordinator, until another opportunity comes along. With this, I don't think anyone will be looking to hire him.

The fact of the matter is that Black coaches are not very good and often make incredibly stupid decisions late in games. The last LA Chargers coach, a Black but I've forgotten his name, made one non-sensical decision after another in the 2021 season...this with he league's best young quarterback, Justin Herbert.

Russia would also need to share similar information about a number of bases housing ground-launched weapons. Biden's proposal reportedly aims to diminish the Kremlin's fears that the US could use the missiles to target Russia. News of the proposal comes as US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is set

Those guards will help protect Third Avenue between Stewart and Union streets, according to the Downtown Seattle Association. Businesses and locals are claiming this extra security is needed along that stretch of downtown that's overrun by the homeless and drugs. “Tourists, don’t go there. Don’t walk on Third Avenue. Generally speaking, I am not a fan of polls. For one, I’ve never been polled by anyone. For another, the number of people being polled often strikes me as too small a sample from which to draw broad conclusions. Also, those samples more often than not tend to oversample one group, Democrats, let’s say, over another group, which again leads to questions of accuracy. Bottom line, I don’t trust ‘em and tend to ignore them in preference to the only poll that actually counts, the election itself. I’ve often asked myself, what would I do if I were to be contacted to participate in a poll.
