The Rise of Blockchain Republics

When Prime Minister Boris Johnson recently announced an end to some medical mandates and virus-related restrictions in the United Kingdom, I thought: "This is a victory for nation-states over unitary global government." The reason the prime minister turned a 180 on his country's COVID-1984 tyranny seems to be intricately linked to his own personal scandals involving the breaking of various lockdown, masking, and social gathering rules that form the crux of the U.K.'s totalitarian health regime. If Klaus Schwab, George Soros, Bill Gates, or Anthony Fauci had complete control over the queen's realm, you can bet that the mandates would never go away.

Not that sanguine about blockchain. Ever increasing overhead, at least for cryptos. As a guarantor of transactional integrity, maybe, but only maybe. Mr. Ponzi, take note.

While I agree with the author that divided government discourages tyranny, one monstrously powerful primary source of our 'One World Government' troubles is that money (and power) is terribly concentrated in the hands of so few. Worse, these people like Soros and Gates, owe no allegiance to anything but themselves. They consider themselves (and are) independent multinational operators unbeholden to any voters. They aren't discernibly religious - not even subservient to God. Any moral behavior on their part is accidental and needn't even be consistent from day-to-day. They control our media and ALL lines of communication. So I am dreadfully afraid that we have passed a point of no return where voting is a joke and violent revolution or God's direct intervention may be the only way out. Personally, I favor the latter.

Exactly what I have been thinking. Between private enterprise and self-interested mutual support, and with the advent of blockchain and the internet, prove to me that we need authoritarian government. I think it is time for new approaches.

I was in college when the planes hit the towers, studying that Tuesday morning before class in the student union. The woman who ran the student snack bar and I were the only people there that morning, and together we watched the second plane hit on live TV. At that moment, my stomach dropped. After the first plane hit, no one really knew what was going on, whether a small aircraft had accidentally crashed into the tower or if it had been an explosion or something else. But when that second plane hit, we knew. This wasn’t an accident. Someone had planned this. It was an attack.

The U.S. Capitol Police officer who fatally shot Ashli Babbitt on Jan. 6 during the insurrection was cleared Monday after an internal review concluded the action may have spared the lives of lawmakers and staffers who had barricaded themselves inside the building. "The officer’s actions were consistent with the officer’s training and (U.S. Capitol Police) policies," the agency's inquiry found. The agency declined to identify the officer. Federal prosecutors decided in April not to pursue criminal charges in the case. Some who supported the Capitol siege by rioters angry about the outcome of the presidential election cast Babbitt as a martyr to the conservative cause.

After nearly a week of radio silence while the Taliban were undoing 20 years of American investment in Afghanistan, Joe Biden returned to the White House to read from a teleprompter for under 20 minutes. Given the predictable straw man he presented of an all-or-nothing binary choice between "forever war" and immediate abandonment, it was par for the course to see Biden try to blame his predecessor. Biden's tactless defense consisted of impugning Afghans. It was followed by his hasty departure without taking a single question from a group of reporters he hand-picked under the guise of "social distancing." (Washington, D.C.'s total COVID-19 death toll this month: one.)

Kandahar is fallen. Kabul, too. To hear again those names is to bring back a lost youth a lifetime of operations overseas. When I heard that Kandahar had fallen to the Taliban...I had a bad day. I did not think the news would hit so hard — but it did, and I thought to take a moment to give hard won advice to those who were there, as well as to reflect upon some of the reasons why the Taliban are on the cusp of victory. Think of those who served. First, this moment is a bad time...

A recent report from a South Korean newspaper said that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered the execution of a choir conductor, who was allegedly shot 90 times in front of members of the public. The report also said members of the choir were forced to march past the dead body. The stunning account comes from journalist Joo Seong-ha, who writes for the Dong-A Ilbo daily paper. The story was originally published on April 29 but has been shared online more widely since then. There is currently no independent corroboration of the story.

Republican Representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado has faced online backlash from critics after urging President Joe Biden to lower flags to half-staff to honor the life of Rush Limbaugh. Limbaugh, an unflinchingly conservative radio host and icon, died Wednesday at the age of 70 after a battle with lung cancer. "I'm calling on Joe Biden to order flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Rush Limbaugh," Boebert tweeted on Friday. But her call was met with opposition.

An Israeli minister stated in an interview that he stands firm in his commitment to name the soon-to-be-built train station adjacent to the Temple mount “Donald J. Trump Station.” Some rabbis note that the station will serve the Third Temple and, as such, the connection to the president is implicit. Finance Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud), who served as Minister of Transportation about two years ago, said on the “Good Morning Israel” program on Glagalei Tzahal (IDF radio) that he does not intend to change his mind about the name he chose for the new train station at the Western Wall.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has a message for Dominion Voting Systems, which sent him a cease-and-desist letter over his continued claims that its technology allowed for an election that was rigged against President Trump: "Please sue me." "That letter is two weeks old, it's a letter telling me to apologize. It's a joke," Lindell told the Washington Examiner. "Those machines are set to rig elections. If Dominion wants to sue me, I welcome it." He claimed the company was refraining from a lawsuit "because we have all the evidence of foreign interference," referring to himself and other pro-Trump allies seeking to overturn the Nov. 3 election results.

Senator Rand Paul (R., Ky.) warned Friday that one third of Republican voters could leave the party if GOP senators vote in impeachment proceedings to convict President Trump. Paul made the comments in an interview on Fox News’s The Ingraham Angle. The senator’s remarks come amid an increasing divide between congressional Republicans who oppose impeaching the president, and a smaller number who support the measure following the riots at the Capitol on January 6. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) is reportedly hopeful that Republicans can use impeachment to purge Trump from the GOP...

The mask is off the Turtle and the Republican Senate. According to the Politico, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his lieutenants are warning Republicans not to object when the electors are certified on January 6th. McConnell warned Republican senators Tuesday during a private caucus call not to object to the election results on Jan. 6, according to two sources familiar with the matter. McConnell told his caucus that challenging the results would force Republicans to take a “terrible vote” because they would need to vote it down and appear against President Donald Trump.

Former Vice President Mike Pence revealed that he has not spoken to former President Trump since last summer. He suggested that Jan. 6, 2021 marked a souring in their relationship. That day, ahead of the Capitol riot, Trump said that Pence 'didn't have the courage' to object to the election results during Congress' certification. Fox News' Jesse Waters asked Pence when the last time he spoke to Trump was on his show Thursday evening. 'You know, we talked last summer,' Pence said. 'And, you know, I've said many times, it was difficult. Jan. 6 was difficult. It was a tragic day in the life of the nation.'
