Twice in the final months of the Trump administration, the country’s top military officer was so fearful that the president’s actions might spark a war with China that he moved urgently to avert armed conflict. In a pair of secret phone calls, Gen. Mark A. Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, assured his Chinese counterpart, Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army, that the United States would not strike, according to a new book by Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward and national political reporter Robert Costa.

In another article posted on this site: Pelosi had a blunt phone call with General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in the days after the insurrection to discuss the process to launch America's nuclear weapons. If this is true, and there would be phone records, then she either plotted with him, or instigated the "concern" Gen. Milley had that prompted his call to his Chinese counterpart. And, I doubt Nancy is that bright to come up with anything like that on her own, which means there was an actual conspiracy against a sitting President.

Further evidence of Pelosi and the Democrat leadership's failure to do their minimal duty to establish any type of reasonable security around the Capital. Just like Obama couldn't be bothered to test the Obamacare website to see if, after several years and billions of dollars, the thing actually worked. Purposeful and intentional negligence. This whole thing was another manufactured crisis to make Trump look bad in the LSM.

I do not believe this story or anything from the serial liar Bob Woodward. The book sites 200 anonymous sources. What a joke. General Milley should say that it is a lie. If it is true, Milley is guilty of sedition. He should be relieved of his command and put on trial. Our military serves the elected civilian leader whether they like him or not.

General Milley has already proven himself to be incompetent, insubordinate and a political opportunist. Now we have good reason to question his basic sanity as well.

Forget the gaslighting, as Milley had no authority to go behind a President’s back and contact the Chinese Communists about a nonexistent nuclear attack the Pelosi had told him that Trump might launch against China and that he, Milley would stop any such attack. Milley, a four star General, has to be a moron for accepting Pelosi’s unverified evaluation that Trump is crazy. By this stage just about every Army Second Lieutenant knows that Pelosi is a 100% liberal Democrat political animal who hates Trump and that anything that Pelosi says about Trump must be taken with a grain of salt. Instead Milley told Pelosi that he agreed with her assessment that Trump was crazy. Besides where did Pelosi get her advanced medical degrees and qualifications necessary to diagnose a President of the USA as being crazy? This is very serious, as what if the Chinese took Milley for his word, that the head of the US Government might nuke China and the Chinese decided that a first strike nuclear attack on American cities was the way for China to go! This is only the latest false allegation of wrongdoing targeting Trump that the Democrats have been rolling out for the last four and a half years against Trump, all of which have never been based upon true facts, but just upon Democrat political misinformation and supposition designed to undermine Trump and his administration. The Democrats have no problem in falsely portraying Trump as a dangerous warmonger even though Trump is the only President in the modern era who has not got the USA involved in a war. The interesting question is how will the wimpy congressional Republicans handle this apparent act of treason by Milley, as surely Pelosi will block any legitimate investigation by the House of Representatives that just might show that Pelosi herself is the crazy one!

Social Security and Medicare trust funds are in dire financial condition due to rising benefit costs, but the biggest problem facing the two largest federal entitlement programs is how they are funded, according to a non-profit that advocates greater government transparency and accountability. “Our bottom line is the trust funds are all a shell game, there is no money in the trust funds. As [former U.S. Comptroller-General] David Walker says, trust funds have no funds and should be distrusted,” Truth in Accounting (TIA) President Sheila Weinberg told The Epoch Times Thursday.

The announcement yesterday by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that it has granted full approval to Pfizer for its Covid-19 vaccine is not surprising to many people who have been watching all of the Operation Warp Speed fast-tracking, moving of barriers, and rule-bending for vaccine makers. Here are 10 reasons why the FDA “gold standard” stamp of approval doesn’t mean anything about protecting citizens’ health and safety but has everything to do with erasing liability and giving governments and businesses the gumption to coerce injections on employees and consumers.

On January 15, in its last days, President Donald Trump’s State Department put out a statement with serious claims about the origins of the Covid-19 pandemic. The statement said the U.S. intelligence community had evidence that several researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology laboratory were sick with Covid-like symptoms in autumn 2019—implying the Chinese government had hidden crucial information about the outbreak for months—and that the WIV lab, despite “presenting itself as a civilian institution,” was conducting secret research projects with the Chinese military. The State Department alleged a Chinese government cover-up and asserted that “Beijing continues today to withhold vital information that scientists need to protect

California voters overwhelmingly chose to keep Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom in office in a recall election on Tuesday. Newsom was spared after a projection by the Associated Press showed that a majority of voters opted against recalling him. With 61 percent of the estimated vote in, early returns showed that 5.3 million voters supported keeping Newsom in office, while 2.5 million Californians voted in favor of his removal. The September 14 recall election was triggered after a petition to remove Newsom received more than 1.6 million verified signatures — a sign of Californians’ frustration

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Despite warnings the race would be close, California Gov. Gavin Newsom decisively defeated efforts to kick him out of office, a win the Democrat cast as an endorsement of his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and his party’s liberal values. Newsom cruised to victory in the recall election Tuesday, boosted by healthy turnout among an overwhelmingly Democratic electorate, ensuring the nation’s most populous state will remain a laboratory for progressive policies. With an estimated two-thirds of ballots counted, the “no” response to the question of whether to recall Newsom was ahead by a 30-point margin.

President Biden is standing by Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, despite accusations he committed treason during the final weeks of the Trump administration by reassuring his Chinese counterpart that then-President Trump would not attack Beijing. “I have great confidence in Gen. Milley,” Biden responded to reporters on Wednesday, moments after press secretary Jen Psaki appeared to excuse Milley’s alleged conduct as acceptable in the “context of this period and time in history” given that he did so while Trump was in his final days as commander in chief and amid the backdrop of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

Not only did California Gov. Gavin Newsom survive the recall election, the vote margin was tilted so far in his favor by Wednesday morning that he’s likely to see the results as a mandate to issue another round of harsh pandemic rules. What is certain is that he will consider it a signal to press the Blue State agenda that’s made California a miserable experience for so many.Recalling a Democratic governor in a state where roughly twice as many Democrats are registered to vote as Republicans was always going to be a nearly impossible task. The headline stories today are large, and so is the background as these issues surface. Context becomes increasingly important as each aspect is reviewed. As you look at the stories, remember this context (emphasized as a reminder):(snip)Factually, President Trump’s strategic approach toward foreign threats and foreign intervention (through the use of geopolitical economic pressure) was a major paradigm shift that removed the Defense Department from a primary role, and placed them back into a more appropriate ‘contingency’ role when it came to foreign policy and national security. It was obvious from the outset of the Trump administration that the Pentagon did not like that position.
