Inside San Francisco's open air drug market
that proves why city's woke effort to
connect homeless addicts to rehab is NOT
working - as users shoot up, pass out
and scatter their needles

A new 'linkage center' aimed at connecting homeless street addicts with drug rehab facilities opened in San Francisco last week - but distressing images show an open air illicit drug consumption site that is now littered with needles and crowded with addicts shooting up in broad daylight.Images taken by DailyMail.com show a woman slumped over in a wheelchair, her pants down around her ankles, preparing to inject a needle into her thigh. The woman sitting on the ground next to her has a needle to her neck. Many others are sitting on the ground among trash, empty food containers and dirty blankets, as they fumble in with drug paraphernalia

Giving drug addicts access to more drugs and drug delivery systems seems like a really swell idea. What possibly could go wrong?

Are they still handing out "brown bomb maps" to people arriving at Bay Area airports? Haven't been there (thank God) for years.

This is nothing but a script from season 3 from The Wire. Heard everybody into a legal drug zone.
(The Wire; the best TV show ever produced. HBO - 5 seasons).
Why not generate some revenue and put this zone on the tourist bus route for folks to see and video record.

If you are old enough to remember the anti-marijuana movie, ''Scared Straight,'' you get the drift that this sounds like a bad parody of a SNL skit. I don't doubt for a second that demented people on the Left Coast (as you look northward) thought this would be at least as good an idea as the movie about ''Cuties.''

Smoking fentanyl? Never heard of that one before. Why go to all that trouble when you can just cram it up your nether regions like St. George Floyd?

I lived in San Francisco from age 21 to 67. Three years ago I moved from there to Palm Springs. The primary reason was the cold, windy and foggy San Francisco summers. For two decades I worked near this so-called "linkage" center. It was always a fringe area but certainly was nothing like the horrors documented by the Daily Mail. I speak frequently to friends still there who have told me how much worse the city has gotten since I left.
Thirty years ago the first "progressive" mayor was booted out after one term after he allowed a tent city to sprout in the park in front of city hall. Things got better but by the time Gavin Newsom was appointed to the city council homelessness was again an epidemic. Hard to believe but Newsom proposed legislation to do something about the homeless and the filth they strew on the streets. His legislation didn't survive the bickering in city hall so he put it on the ballot and the voters themselves overwhelmingly enacted his plan. It worked beautifully until several years before I left.
I'm almost in tears with what has now befallen a once lovely city. The city is run by a radical, left-wing fringe of the Democrat Party. All candidates are filtered through Democrat clubs, the current mayor included. Of course, the real problem is that a huge percentage of the population continues to vote for the same losers over and over again. I'm so glad I no longer live in San Francisco.

FTA ,,, The move came after Breed performed a dramatic U-turn on the 'defund the police' strategy as she called for 'more aggressive policing' to replace 'bulls**t progressive policies'

These vagrants are not interested in rehab or public housing because they would not let them continue their drug habits.

San Francisco used to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I am heartbroken for what has happened to that incredible state. Over the years they have purposely brought in thousands of illegals and rigged the voting to a one party state. Sound familiar?

Rehab does not work unless the addict wants it to. Until the cops can go in, clean these places out, and throw people in jail, this will continue.
