Spotify over Joe Rogan: report

Original Article

Neil Young, the legendary rocker, reportedly posted a letter to his management team that he wanted his music pulled from Spotify because it is providing a platform for popular podcast host Joe Rogan to spread COVID-19 vaccine misinformation. Rolling Stone, which first reported on Young’s letter, reported that the post has since been deleted. Young reportedly wrote in the letter that he wants Spotify to "know immediately TODAY that I want all my music off their platform." "They can have [Joe] Rogan or Young," he reportedly posted. "Not both." Young wrote that Spotify has a "responsibility to mitigate the spread of misinformation

Comments:

So, let's see: Bow to Cancel Culture Warrior Neil Young who hasn't written a decent song in 40 years, or stick with the top podcast in the country. Don't think too hard, Spotify.

To be honest, I never knew who Rogan was. But clearly he has quite an audience, for them to have their panties in a wad over him speaking truth. When anyone from Hollywood or other "fame" speaks up on behalf of the globalists, they are actually outing themselves.

He CAN'T, and he knows it. He learned that lesson when he sued Trump for using his music and TRUMP WON. All his income comes from contracts with ASCAP/BMI to include his music in their catalogs. You pay for a license to the catalog, you get to play the song. That's how it works. Spotify pays for ASCAP/BMI for access to that catalog, just like the Trump campaign and every radio station and bar does. He can stop Spotify the same way he can stop any bar he doesn't like, by pulling his contract and having his music played nowhere. Not on the radio, not in a bar... nowhere. Go for it, Neil.

What is misinformation Neil? While I have never listened to Joe Rogan's podcast, i do know that he got the Rona and used a treatment recognized by the medical community throughout the world as viable and had a very positive response, recovering rather quickly. He shares his experience and those of others to question why our government continues to push vaccination over treatment in the USA, when our government changed the definition of a vaccine to lower the bar on what COVID vaccines approved for Emergency Use Authorization actually do. Sorry Neil, I stand with Joe Rogan on this one.

It's hard to take seriously anything Neil says. This is an "Old Man" who gutted the engine of a perfectly good '59 Lincoln Continental and replaced it with a hybrid. Said "LincVolt" broke down in the Sierras on a publicity tour and then started a fire in a warehouse full of rock memorabilia.

No, Neil, Spotify has a responsibility to provide music and podcasts to their subscribers. They do not have a responsibility to be censors for old hippie snowflakes like you that can't handle the fact that people have differing opinions. We, as customers, can then chose what we want to listen to or avoid like the plague (like your music). I know this is hard for old hippie snowflakes like you to understand, but Spotify has a lot of music and podcasts that I personally find offensive or have no interest at all in listening to. As a 63-year-old woman, I chose not to listen to them. I don't have hissy fits. I don't demand that Spotify remove them because I don't like them. I just ignore them. Freedom, it's a beautiful thing -- unless you are a hate-filled ugly old hippie snowflake!!!

There has been a full-on media blackout of the new study outlining the ineffectiveness of lockdowns to prevent COVID deaths. According to a Johns Hopkins University meta-analysis of several studies, lockdowns during the first COVID wave in the spring of 2020 only reduced COVID mortality by .2% in the U.S. and Europe. "While this meta-analysis concludes that lockdowns have had little to no public health effects, they have imposed enormous economic and social costs where they have been adopted," the researchers wrote. "In consequence, lockdown policies are ill-founded and should be rejected as a pandemic policy instrument."

President Biden said Monday that his administration is committed to improving the border crisis by trying to "figure out" why migrants are leaving their home countries for the U.S. in the first place. "We’re working a lot with neighboring countries. A lot to do," Biden said during a meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris and the National Governors Association (NGA) at the White House. Next week, the State Department is also expected to encourage Americans to begin leaving Ukraine by commercial flights, "while those are still available," one official said. Moscow has massed tens of thousands of troops at the border with Ukraine, leading to fears of an invasion. Late Friday night, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine announced the first shipment of ammunition had arrived as directed by President Biden. U.S. officials say small arms ammunition constitute the bulk of the 200,000

The Board of Governors voted to pass the new policy as it "preserves opportunity for transgender student-athletes while balancing fairness, inclusion and safety for all who compete," according to the report. "It is important that NCAA member schools, conferences and college athletes compete in an inclusive, fair, safe and respectful environment and can move forward with a clear understanding of the new policy," DeGioia added. Each particular sport’s national governing body will be responsible for determining transgender athlete participation. If a sport does not have a national governing body, the international federation policy will be enacted, Sports Illustrated reported.

Just days ago, the Supreme Court issued two rulings that have the internet chattering about how the Court killed the administration’s vaccine mandate. While I don’t want to throw cold water on the celebration, I have to say I don’t read things that way. Yes, one of the rulings killed the attempt to use OSHA to force businesses to require vaccination of their employees, that is the only bright spot I see. Rather than a decisive blow for freedom, it looks more like a fairly minor victory in a skirmish with the battle still to be won or lost.  CORRECTION*

Barack Obama has been pictured at his new multimillion-dollar Hawaii mansion for the very first time, but he did not yet appear to be on island time. Far from being in beach mode, Obama appeared to be deep in conversation as he spoke with workers from local building firm Armstrong Builders, who are currently constructing his beachfront compound on the island of Oahu. Dressed in beige pants and a grey polo shirt, Obama looked tense as he was pictured speaking with builders and architects. The former president could be seen scowling as he chatted Saturday with at least four developers who were working on the project.

Former President Donald Trump lashed out at his vice president for saying he had 'no right' to overturn Biden's 2020 win, claiming he is 'right and everyone knows it.' Trump, 75, bashed Mike Pence, 62, in another political row over the 2020 election results, calling the former VP an 'automatic conveyor belt for the Old Crow Mitch McConnell.' 'Just saw Mike Pence’s statement on the fact that he had no right to do anything with respect to the Electoral Vote Count, other than being an automatic conveyor belt for the Old Crow Mitch McConnell to get Biden elected President as quickly as possible,' Trump wrote in a statement.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk accused GoFundMe of hypocrisy after the company canceled the Freedom Convoy fundraiser on Friday after it actively supported a campaign for the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest in Seattle. The crowdfunding platform claimed the convoy fundraiser - which raised $10million Canadian dollars ($8 million USD) in support of truckers protesting against COVID-19 vaccine mandates - violated its terms of service 'which prohibits the promotion of violence and harassment.' GoFundMe plans to distribute the remaining $9million of donated funds to 'credible and established charities' that were reportedly chosen by the convoy organizers and have been verified by the platform.

The US State Department is waiving sanctions on Iran's civilian nuclear program in the hope that Tehran will return to the 2015 nuclear agreement, a senior official said Friday. As U.S. negotiators head back to Vienna for what could be a make-or-break session, Secretary of State Antony Blinken signed several sanctions waivers related to Iran's civilian nuclear activities. The move reverses the Trump administration's decision to rescind them. The resumption of the waiver, ended by Trump in 2020, 'would be essential to ensuring Iran's swift compliance' if a new deal on controlling Tehran's nuclear program can be reached in talks in Vienna, the State Department official said

Vitamin D may help fight off coronavirus after all, a study suggests. The jury has been out on the 'sunshine vitamin' since early in the pandemic, with conflicting findings muddying the waters. Papers that did find a link were deemed not rigorous enough and not definitive. But a new study—this time in Israel—claims to have the most conclusive evidence yet. Previous research has been criticised for only looking at vitamin D levels when the Covid patient was already in hospital.(Snip)To overcome this limitation, in their latest study, researchers from Bar Ilan University and the Galilee Medical Center looked at patient records up to two years before

Karl Rove is, once again, beating the war drums. He is ready to send 18-year-olds like my son to fight nuclear Russia over Ukraine’s border so that he and the other neocons can talk like tough guys on TV. On Jan. 28, Karl Rove shared an article on his Twitter page written by Noah Rothman attacking American populists who are opposed to sending our troops to war with Russia. My view is that Mr. Rove despises “America First.” He loves war and the global economy that all these wars prop up.
