The president of Emirates has slammed the 5G fiasco as the 'most delinquent, irresponsible' mess he has seen in his 50-year aviation career and blamed it on Transport Secretary Pete Buttigieg, who he says knew about the impending chaos but failed to warn anyone in time to stop it.(Snip)Sir Tim Clark, the president of Emirates, appeared on CNN, Wednesday that American airlines knew about the risks before the rest of the world, and that it forced them to scramble to cancel flights then bring them back once it was safe.(Snip)'Let the truth be known, we were not aware of this until yesterday morning

The celebrated Mayor Butt was given a cabinet position for which he is wholly unqualified, simply because our agencies are positioning him to be president one day, as an example of the best the USA has to offer.

It's not just Buttigieg. The entire airline and telecom sectors are to blame for not addressing this issue BEFORE it goes live. The specs (frequency used, signal strength, etc.) for 5G have been known for years. Why have the affected sectors not fully analyzed AND pilot tested what effects 5G would have on avionics systems? It truly boggles my mind as a tech consultant that this hasn't been done until...oooops, it's firing up in a couple of days and OMG the already built transmission towers within 2 miles of any airfield can possibly interfere with altimeters and other avionics! This is dirt stupid.

The incompetence of this administration should scare the heck out of every American. Every cabinet post is filled by someone more interested in wokeness, diversity, and equity than fulfilling the true responsibilities of their position. It’s only going to get worse. Now with the Canadian border trucker mandate going into effect on 1/22. The supply chain shortages will multiply rapidly. My Publix store here in Georgia has empty aisles now.

This man-caused fiasco is intentional. Look at the signal it sends to our potential adversaries on the battlefield. USA cannot do basic planning of any kind, even given a foolishly long timeline, in part because the Pentagon and its Marxist LGBTQ+ and BLM allies are in a hot war against White Christians and traditional families, and American culture itself. Roll on in; USA is yours for the taking, if you like.

Buttigeig was home with his newly purchased babies. How could he have know? That is what the Biden administration will claim. Of course, they had all of the months that he was not on maternity leave to address the issue and the FAA and Telecom companies had years to work this issue out. As usual, the government worked the speed of bureaucracy which is with no speed at all. Nobody is responsible for this debacle but fingers will be pointed at everyone else except those responsible for not doing their jobs.

We have a transportation problem in this country and the Transport Secretary, a guy named Pete Buttigieg is MIA. The man is so deep in the closet he doesn't know what planet he is on. We have cargo ships stranded out at sea for 8 freakin months, we have food that is not being delivered to grocery stores where shelves are empty and we have airlines cancelling flights because no one was prepared for the 5G network that was known about a year ago. And what do we have, a total incompetent running the whole show. There is not one person in the whole Biden administration who is qualified for their job and that includes a dementia ridden old fool who is president. This is truly pathetic.

If you talk to actual 777 pilots the whole problem comes down to trust. The CAT III approach with a radar altimeter allows virtually blind landings (as little as 300 feet visibility down the runway). This landing is completely controlled by the flight computer system which must be monitored by the flight crew as the plane goes below 50 ft and flares into a landing that is better than most humans can do. Pilots are on the edge of their seat during this "leap of faith" with one hand on the TOGA button (Take-off/Go Around) that triggers the autopilot to execute a touch-and-go landing. In most cases the plane first touches the runway before cleaning up and powering back into the air. The margins for error this close to the ground and small. The systems use redundant radar altimeters which must agree to avoid a TOGA event. If the 5G base tower signals confuse either of the two altimeters they won't agree and the plane wastes time and causes delays in a go around. The worst situation is if both agree but are in error. This can cause the plane to either flare early (very hard, damaging landing) or late (possible crash landing). The FAA maintains that our planes were here first and tells the FCC that this is their problem to solve. The FCC tells the FAA that our telcom companies have spent hundreds of billions on 5G and the RTCA bench test study of the 27R approach to ORD based on current 3G and 4G towers is not the actual experience of foreign airports where 5G has already been safely deployed. The pilots, who are trained to trust their instruments, already don't like letting HAL land their airplane and this problem is not helping them with the trust issue. This is not a good opportunity to use trial-and-error methodologies to see who is right.
