According to KrebsonSecurity, the IRS announced that by the summer of 2022, the only way to log into will be through Founded by former Army Rangers in 2010, the McLean-based company has evolved to providing online ID verification services which several states are using to help reduce unemployment and pandemic-assistance fraud. The company claims to have 64 million users. Some 27 states already use to screen for identity thieves applying for benefits in someone else’s name, and now the IRS is joining them. The service requires applicants to supply a great deal more information than typically requested for online verification schemes, such as scans

If a company makes money from the taxpaying public, ideally while providing nothing of value and also shredding our few remaining freedumbs, then we Americans understand it as good, because money and commerce are among our highest ideals. So the same IRS that quite merrily doles out earned income tax credits to Mexican day laborers who claim to have 15 kids in Mexico, or other "migrants" using stolen SSNs, is now harvesting facial recognition data for the agencies, maybe because as a startup, they'll do it for less than Facebook and Google already do.

A video selfie, no less. That's even better. The Stasi would laugh at the very idea that people would go along with this voluntarily, but they had no concept of how far modern Americans will bend over for the illusion of convenience. FTA: "US taxpayers will have to submit a video selfie to access certain Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tools and applications starting this summer. The selfie is taken on a mobile device and then uploaded to, a third-party identity verification company that will use its own facial recognition to verify the individual. Once verified, the taxpayer will be asked to upload their government ID and copies of bills."

In my opinion, is both a scam and a major security threat. Supposedly the owner started the company after he was asked for his DD214 to get a military discount, and that made him angry. So what's the first thing does if you want to sign up for a military discount? That's right, ask for your DD214. Their website says that "Exposing so much personal information for a single benefit was risky and unnecessary," so what are they doing? Asking for all kinds of personal information. Who cares about NIST certification -- that's not done by the government, it's a third party doing it for the money. There's no way is any safer than Experian or anybody else who's had a data breach.

CDC Dir. Rochelle Walensky appeared on CBS News and shared the news that the two-dose regiment will no longer suffice to be considered “fully vaccinated.” Instead, you will need a booster jab in order to be classified as “up to date.” That comes as part of a “pivot” in language by the government, one that many were maligned for predicting.
