WASHINGTON – The Biden administration on Wednesday will launch a website where Americans can order up to four free COVID-19 testing kits per person, according to a senior administration official. The tests, part of the Biden administration's purchase of 500 million tests last month to help tackle a record surge in infections, will be available at COVIDTest.gov and mailed to homes within 7-12 days through the U.S. Postal Service, according to the official, who briefed reporters on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss details of the announcement. President Joe Biden announced earlier this week the administration would double its

Any betting pools going on how quickly it crashes, assuming it ever goes live?

How many billions did this boondoggle of a website cost?
7-12 days to ship after ordering online tells me that don't have the tests in stock yet. By the time the first tests actually show up in peoples' hands, it will be into February, and the surge will be over. I predict millions of tests rotting in warehouses until their expiration dates pass, followed by a trip to the dumpster.

Proof of gene modification before they will ship them? What a way to track people. This would not surprise me a bit.

Anyone else think this is also another way his minions can collect private data on citizens?

This almost sounds like a newer version of "14 days to flatten the curve", as #2 points out with the 7-10 days until available.
There is nothing free about any of this, as it will cost to buy the kits, maintain the website, administer the processing, and then the real part behind it, ship them to the address, thus, providing a massive trove of information for ballot harvesting.
Considering everyone will request the max 4, which is 125,000,000 people they'll have data on.
And, when the drop in cases comes prior to most people receiving their kits, they'll take credit for that decline.

What are we testing for? I test positive nurses go to work in hospitals, why can’t everyone else? Common sense, not a test says stay home if you’re sick,

Will take longer than expected - most of the tests have to be picked up off the train tracks and repackaged. (see stories of train pirates robbing boxcars near the ports in LA)

Prediction: The website will get few hits. Public interest in these test kits will be underwhelming.

Assuming these tests are actually produced and distributed, how many will actually be used and how many will be wasted? The government has gotten really good at throwing free stuff to the peasants; very bad at accounting for its effectiveness.

"Free" test kits? It is only free in his mind (which has lots of empty space).

The testing, lockdowns, mandates, masks and banning of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine have kept this who thing going. We've never done this for the flu, our anything else in the past 90 years. Obsessively testing yourself for a disease when you have no symptoms is mental illness.

It seems the COVID bug is losing its power, and the pretend administration does not know that ...or possibly does not want us to notice that. Next thing you know the pretend administration will mandate that all unborn children will have to get the so-called "vaccine" too.

Omicron has already peaked. By the time the website is operational, testing kits will already be available everywhere and no one will care.

Excuse me while I adjust my tin-hat....
But I wouldn't trust these testing kits any farther than I could throw Stacey Abrams while she is holding onto a tree.
A: Who knows if something inimical has been added.
B: Are they the type of tests that have been proven to be vastly false positive?
C: and as others have said, this is more likely a data harvesting operation than anything else.

Putting the expense on the nation's massive debt is not free. So far 7% more tax by way of inflation is already in the mix.

After searching to discover how much money the government is paying for these 500 million tests all I find everywhere is that they are free, free, free, free, and free. I'm beginning to think that perhaps - just maybe- these costs are intentionally being hidden.

What purpose are these kits ? If a person tests positive, THEN WHAT ? Where will he/she/ it be given treatment. Most will flood the E>R> where treatment is often inadequate to cure Covid, as mainline meds do not do the job. Physician offices and Urgent care centers cannot treat covid and are turning away patients, or simply not returning calls.

Useless tests. Is there anyone left on the planet who does not know the symptoms of covid? If you aren’t already doing it, start taking 5,000 IUs of D3, 250 mgs of C, 500 mgs of quercetin, 50 mgs of zinc and a couple of aspirin every day. Get some Ivermectin if you can - there are sources online. If you develop the symptoms, take the Ivermectin if you have it and otherwise keep taking aspirin for fever, drink lots of water and get lots of rest.
Just a bit of advice from a 69 year old member of the control group who has not contracted covid, though most of my family has.

Where are these tests coming from? I heard on the news yesterday (Fox, I believe, as that's the only news I watch - wish I could find Newsmax) had a report that stated they had called every pharmacy for 250 miles, and could find only one drug store in one small town that had one test they could sell. Where is Braindead going to get 500 million?

I am not sure about #8s prediction. There are enough morons in this country who would test themselves every few days if they could. I would say FJB's administration is spending money like drunken sailors but that would not be fair to drunken sailors since they spend their own money, not ours.

The dimocrats need more cases of Kung Flu to keep the amended election rules used in 2020. Little Anthony the Imperious can dutifully report to Dementia Jo that everything is worse than it was.
Dementia Jo's handlers then can create a last-minute, emergency Executive Order, around the First of November, 2022, to game the system and win the midterm elections.
