WASHINGTON – The Biden administration on Wednesday will launch a website where Americans can order up to four free COVID-19 testing kits per person, according to a senior administration official. The tests, part of the Biden administration's purchase of 500 million tests last month to help tackle a record surge in infections, will be available at COVIDTest.gov and mailed to homes within 7-12 days through the U.S. Postal Service, according to the official, who briefed reporters on the condition of anonymity in order to discuss details of the announcement. How many billions did this boondoggle of a website cost? 7-12 days to ship after ordering online tells me that don't have the tests in stock yet. By the time the first tests actually show up in peoples' hands, it will be into February, and the surge will be over. I predict millions of tests rotting in warehouses until their expiration dates pass, followed by a trip to the dumpster.

This almost sounds like a newer version of "14 days to flatten the curve", as #2 points out with the 7-10 days until available. There is nothing free about any of this, as it will cost to buy the kits, maintain the website, administer the processing, and then the real part behind it, ship them to the address, thus, providing a massive trove of information for ballot harvesting. Considering everyone will request the max 4, which is 125,000,000 people they'll have data on. And, when the drop in cases comes prior to most people receiving their kits, they'll take credit for that decline.

What purpose are these kits ? If a person tests positive, THEN WHAT ? Where will he/she/ it be given treatment. Most will flood the E>R> where treatment is often inadequate to cure Covid, as mainline meds do not do the job. Physician offices and Urgent care centers cannot treat covid and are turning away patients, or simply not returning calls.

Useless tests. Is there anyone left on the planet who does not know the symptoms of covid? If you aren’t already doing it, start taking 5,000 IUs of D3, 250 mgs of C, 500 mgs of quercetin, 50 mgs of zinc and a couple of aspirin every day. Get some Ivermectin if you can - there are sources online. If you develop the symptoms, take the Ivermectin if you have it and otherwise keep taking aspirin for fever, drink lots of water and get lots of rest. Just a bit of advice from a 69 year old member of the control group who has not contracted covid, though most of my family has.

The campaign to ban gas stoves is heating up 14 replies

Over the past three years, dozens of cities across the country have banned natural gas hookups in newly constructed buildings as part of a growing campaign to reduce carbon emissions from homes. The movement scored a major victory last month, when New York City’s outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio signed into law a ban on gas hookups in new buildings. Though new laws apply to the entire home, the policy debate often focuses on one room in particular: the kitchen. Gas stoves account for a relatively small share of the emissions released by a typical household, but they’ve become a

New York - Americans shopped less in December, causing the first drop in retail sales since the summer. Sales dropped 1.9% compared with November, adjusted for seasonal swings, the Census Bureau reported Friday. The decline in sales coincided with the surge in Covid cases due to the highly infectious Omicron variant. WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden is planning to sign executive actions on police reform as early as this month, three people familiar with the plans said, as his administration seeks to unilaterally jumpstart an issue that’s a top priority for a key constituency. “Annus horribilis,” a Latin term that means “horrible year” is a term once famously deployed by the Queen of England to describe 1992, a tumultuous year upon which she declared she would not regard fondly. Given current trends, the same label may yet apply to the year 2022, as inflationary pressures scorch U.S. consumers at a rate not seen in decades, souring the political fortunes of a U.S. president barely a year into his term. It’s also conspiring to make a tough job even tougher for the Federal Reserve chairman he’s recommending for a second term. On Wednesday, data showed

Inflation has become one of the top economic issues in the U.S., and the Biden administration is acting accordingly with various policy actions. U.S. consumer prices rose 0.5% in December and 7.0% on a year-over-year basis, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It's the fastest rate since 1982. Two of the biggest drivers of price spikes over 2021 have been in food and energy which is likely the reason the White House has focused on both of those sectors both for inflation as well as antitrust reasons. Tying the two issues together is not without critics, even among Democrats.
