Only 35% vaccinated Americans have sought
boosters, despite Biden’s omicron warnings

Nearly two in three vaccinated Americans haven’t received a COVID-19 booster despite President Biden’s repeated push to shore up waning protection and fend off the omicron variant that’s blanketed the country, raising questions about public enthusiasm for more shots. About 73 million people, or 35% of the 207 million people who’ve received a primary vaccine series, have received a booster, according to federal data.(Snip)Fewer than four in 10 Americans over age 18 have come forward, forcing Biden officials to amplify their pleas to a pandemic-weary public while Israeli officials move to the fourth round of shots for vulnerable residents.

Comments:

A vaccine should last more than 3 months, and also should prevent acquisition and transmission of the disease in question. These shots do none of that, but they're making tens of billions of dollars for the manufacturers and the congresspeople invested in them, and make the government appear as if they're doing something other than robbing us blind and flooding us with illegal aliens and refugees while destroying the economy and the tattered remnants of our national sovereignty.

What OP said. Why should I risk higher vaccine reaction damage with little chance of preventing an apparently minor disease that seems to provide broad immunity.

Had two but do not want three since vaccines since they do no work and give serious adverse effects. Sadly I work for a living and will have to take the first booster shot by the end of January. F. Joe Biden will paralyze economic activity as most Americans are not as cowardly as I am.

Moderna is working on a single jab which could inoculate Britons against both Covid and flu as early as next year. The American drug company’s UK chief Darius Hughes said an annual ‘combination’ vaccine would be more convenient for patients because it required fewer visits to a medical facility and cut the NHS’s cost of administering vaccinations. Mr Hughes said an inoculation against coronavirus and flu could be available by the winter of 2023 ‘at a stretch’.(Snip)Moderna also hopes to create a jab that tackles Covid, influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), which typically causes mild symptoms but can be serious, especially for infants and older adults

Omicron could be even less deadly than flu, scientists believe in a boost to hopes that the worst of the pandemic is over. Some experts have always maintained that the coronavirus would eventually morph into a seasonal cold-like virus as the world develops immunity through vaccines and natural infection. But the emergence of the highly-mutated Omicron variant appears to have sped the process up. MailOnline analysis shows Covid killed one in 33 people who tested positive at the peak of the devastating second wave last January, compared to just one in 670 now. But experts believe the figure could be even lower because of Omicron.

Hospitalizations of U.S. children under 5 with COVID-19 soared in recent weeks to their highest level since the pandemic began, according to government data released Friday on the only age group not yet eligible for the vaccine. The worrisome trend in children too young to be vaccinated underscores the need for older kids and adults to get their shots to help protect those around them, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since mid-December, with the highly contagious omicron variant spreading furiously around the country, the hospitalization rate in these youngest kids has surged to more than 4 in 100,000 children, up from 2.5 per 100,000.

The liberal wing of the Supreme Court embarrassed itself Friday with a slew of false claims about COVID-19 during oral arguments over Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates. For example, Justice Stephen Breyer claimed hospitals are at capacity because of unvaccinated Americans with COVID. This is false. But perhaps the most ridiculous false claim from a Supreme Court justice came from Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who falsely claimed that 100,000 children are in “serious condition” from COVID. “We have hospitals that are almost at full capacity with people severely ill on ventilators. We have over 100,000 children, which we’ve never had before, in serious condition, and many on ventilators,” Sotomayor claimed.
