A Danish health chief has said the Covid-19 Omicron variant is bringing about the end of the pandemic, saying 'we will have our normal lives back in two months'. Speaking to Danish TV 2, Tyra Grove Krause - the chief epidemiologist at Denmark's State Serum Institute - said a new study from the organisation found that the risk of hospitalisation from Omicron is half that seen with the Delta variant. This, she said, has given Danish authorities hope that the Covid-19 pandemic in Denmark could be over in two months. 'I think we will have that in the next two months, and then I hope the infection will start to subside

But don't you know that if we return to the pro-death way of living we will all diiiiiieeeee!!!!!! We must stay masked under permanent lock down with endless new boosters forever, just in case a new variant comes along and someone somewhere on the planet sneezes. We must enforce an absolute Global Zero Sneeze policy immediately or we will all be dead in 10 years! We have reached the Covid Tipping point! Drive an electric car and turn off all the nuclear power plants and live in caves if you want to be saved from Covid! Oh wait... sorry, I mixed up two different Marxist fear porn articles. #3. it's an RNA virus. They are extremely unstable, and continuously mutate. Over time they will become less deadly and more easily transmitted....which is learned from the study of past pandemics in history. These steady and relatively rapid mutations will continue forever. At some point, perhaps soon, they will become much like other coronaviruses....which are one of the multiple kinds of viruses which have similar symptoms and are lumped together as "the common cold" even though they are very different viruses. IIRC, several rhinovirus, several coronaviruses and several adenoviruses. All different...but similar symptoms -- 'the common cold', isn't really one thing.

I've witnessed the fearful herd mentality in the big stores. The majority of the sheeple still wear anxiety napkins over their pathetic faces. Putting those hideous bacteria traps on their children as if they are somehow stopping the virus when their own immune system is what stops it... especially in children. They stupidly obey the government and the government is never about health, it's all about control and it's working like a charm. Most will never be back to "normal:

The figures given as cases per million made me smile "Covid-19 cases per million people sits at 2,823.31 as on Monday". The figure is a precise number on a given day which assumes that there haven't been any new births that day or maybe that year--it would be the perfect time to just round off to 2,823. Small point, I know, but DM likes to print articles that are usually way too long, in this case they could have shortened it by a few digits.

#12 - consider yourself lucky. I am still dealing with COVID issues after spending a week with Delta (presumably) in ICU over Thanksgiving week. I have lung damage as a result of my experience with something that 'didn't show up'. Never took the vax crap, and not going to, but dismissing Delta as a nothingburger is short-sighted and incorrect. Had it not been for having a good doctor who used monoclonal antibodies, I was on my way out. Even now I sit here typing, unable to return to work and on oxygen because my heart/lungs no longer function at the capacity they did before I caught this garbage.

The entire planet attacked by an engineered Chinese bioweapon. And NOTHING AT ALL done to China. Still everyone is doing business with China. No efforts to embargo the country. No efforts to get compensation for huge numbers of deaths and huge economic harm. ALL pointing directly back to a ChiCom lab what CREATED and released this virus. And it's ALL OK. Forgive and forget. If this much mayhem had been done with conventional weapons Chinese cities would be radioactive ruins. And yet with a bioweapon - no blame at all. WHY is that? China attacked us.

While the establishment media reported Sunday from two confirmed sources that Manchin was resuming negotiations on Biden’s $1.9 trillion reconciliation package, the West Virginia senior told reporters the massive tax and spend plan was still dead. “I’m not agreeing to any of this,” Manchin said about changes to the package the media reported. “There’s been no conversations” with the White House. Manchin reiterated his December position: “I feel as strongly today as I did then.”

Joe Biden has been widely unpopular for many months now, with his average approval hovering in the low 40s since the late summer. Yet, for a long time, Democrats have had one issue to hang their hat on. That would be the COVID-19 pandemic. While the president’s ratings have long been terrible on the economy, immigration, and foreign policy (largely driven by his horrific evacuation from Afghanistan), he has mostly stayed above water in regards to his handling of the coronavirus. Given his less-than-stellar results, you’re probably asking yourself why that’s the case. The answer is because far too many

Democrats and their mainstream media allies express dismay, if not alarm, over a poll that shows 58 percent of Republicans don’t believe Joe Biden was elected legitimately. However, Byron York points out that in the Fall of 2017, the same pollster found that 67 percent of Democrats said Trump was not legitimately elected. Given the drumbeat of unfounded claims by mainstream media outlets of Russian collusion in the election of Trump, as well as supposed “voter suppression,” I’m surprised that even more Democrats didn’t view his election as illegitimate. It’s true that, unlike Trump in 2020, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in 2016.

Data released Tuesday by the Labor Department shows the number of people leaving the workforce hit a new record in November when about 4.5 million workers quit their jobs. The number — up from 4.2 million in October — is the highest since the United States began keeping track of the statistic almost 20 years ago. The figure is equivalent to about 3% of the workforce. The so-called “quits rate” measures the number of people who voluntarily left their jobs while also counting those who left prior employment for another job and people who quit but believe they will soon find new employment.

Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer announced Monday that the chamber would debate eliminating the filibuster in the coming weeks if Republicans refuse to join Democrats in passing sweeping voting legislation. While the filibuster was designed to empower the minority party in the Senate, Schumer argued that it now serves to “embarrass the will of the majority,” against the founders’ intentions for legislative procedure. He claimed that Republicans should not be allowed to block the Freedom to Vote Act, using the vehicle of the filibuster, that only further enshrines and expands the American right to vote.
