What an awful year this was. I sincerely hope the coming year is better. Here are a few loose ends that need clearing up as that dreadful year drops off into memory. The first priority is to hold public health authorities responsible for the mess they made. Professor Glenn Reynolds has my vote for holding them accountable. They lied to us, manipulated us for political purposes, and completely betrayed our trust. He summarizes their acts and argues: “It’s time for a rigorous investigation

Dear Clarice, Who in the US will have the guts to investigate any of the crap we have watched in 2020 and 2021? Mitch McConnell??? I don't see anyone on the horizon who will take this on. It will just be papered over and we will continue to march forward.

The political hacks have control over the country and the only thing investigated for the next several years will be anything that may help to restore the once good and powerful USA.

If we are fortunate 2021 will have been the worst year. Unfortunately the next few years likely will be worse. The country still has the same leaders.

I would add to the list about Covid mistakes the six feet of physical separation. Remember the markers on the floor in stores? Also, the fanatical cleaning and sanitation because it was thought this could be spread by touching surfaces. I know people who would quarantine their mail and their groceries for three days.

The same people are still in charge, so 2022 won't be a whole lot different than 2021 or 2020. If you're looking for an improvement, you're might have to wait until 2023 when if as predicted, the Republicans take control of the Congress. Until then, expect another year of Fauci spouting lies, Biteme's constant brain farts, and mattress back doing what she does best. Nothing.

FTA: NASDAQ urged all companies on its exchange to have at least two diversity hires on their board of directors: One who self-identifies as female and one who “self-identifies as an underrepresented minority or LGBTQ+” 1. Do they have to tell the truth? 2. If questioned, is the statement that: "I just feel in my heart that I am in not my true body. I self-identify as female (or [choose minority] or [choose letter of the alphabet or special character]. Given our society's prejudices and conditioning from my childhood, I am uncomfortable with dressing, acting, expressing the social mores, taking medication or undergoing surgeries that would give a physical outlet to my innermost feels concerning my self-identification. Because of the trauma that any of these actions would cause both me and my loved ones, I will continue to follow the conditioning that my life has thrust upon me." Considering the salaries these people get, I am quite sure a couple of people on the board would happy to make this statement to protect company and job. And they have the lawyers to tie NASDAQ up in the courts for years.

Serious companies don't take kindly to these kinds of political correctness requirements. With the exception of some Silicon Valley outfits, they don't want any Kamela Harris-type airhead phonies on their boards, monitoring their private/secret business plans. They'll sue or try to find a way to get listed on the New York stock exchange. A handful of really clever multi-billionaires might find a way to come up with a new stock exchange to overpower NASDAQ. I don't know how difficult/realistic that might be, but with this foolishness, NASDAQ is asking to be kicked to the curb.

Schumer shows the left’s desperation

Although the Democrats put most of their political capital in the Build More Communist Bill (known as the “Build Back Better Bill”), the bill that’s more important to them is actually the “For The People” Act, which has already passed in the House. If the Senate passes it, it will build into elections every type of pro-fraud procedure possible. To that end, Sen. Chuckie Schumer wrote to tell Republicans, who will be destroyed if the act passes, that they’d better pass the act or else he’ll destroy the filibuster and pass the act without them.

Over the last twenty months, Americans have learned that Anthony Fauci, the highest-paid federal employee, has a very utilitarian approach to the truth. In other words, he’ll say whatever is useful to him at the moment and call it the truth. However, eventually, when sufficiently cornered or unguarded, the truth will out. In this case, Fauci blundered into admitting that he knew that he, on behalf of the United States, was collaborating with the Chinese communists.

According to the mainstream media, print and digital, COVID is surging, omicron is deadly and everyone with a scratchy throat runs to a testing center to see if they are “infected.” It’s madness on a grand scale. Most of them are not infected but these thousands of hypochondriacs are waiting hours in line for a test that, even if negative, may be positive the next day. The clamor for more tests is ridiculous. Everyone has known since July that the PCR tests were faulty to the point of being entirely useless -- which the CDC finallynow admits.
6 Basic Concepts Liberals Don't Get 18 replies

There's a famous saying often attributed to Edmund Burke: "If you are not a liberal at 25, you have no heart. If you are not a conservative at 35 you have no brain." Youth is attracted to liberalism because its ideals sound good — they really do. You'd have to be some kind of monster not to want to save the planet, lift up the poor, correct past injustices, and share equally in Earth's bounty. The problem with liberals is not their ideals; it's their actions — which never accomplish their intended purpose. That's because liberals are emotional, rather than rational, animals.

Linda Greenhouse covered the United States Supreme Court for The New York Times for nearly three decades, until 2008, and then, in late 2009, was invited to write a column, "centered on the Supreme Court," every two weeks, for the paper. Ms. Greenhouse's December 31 column, last of her bi-monthly assignment, reflected the very sour-grapes of a senior citizen who never outgrew her adolescent progressivism: it was filled with the obligatory gibes of an angry leftist, hurled at Republicans, conservatives and Donald Trump. But were her targets limited only to conservatives?

The prophets of the Bible are individuals chosen by God to speak for God. Many mentions of prophets are made in the Bible. In fact, a section of the Old Testament is devoted to a collection of books by them. Their names, and quotes, appear all over the New Testament and are the subject of sermons to this day. What they all had in common was a heart for God, an anointing to hear from Him, and the faithfulness to impart his message to others.

The fact that Nikole Hannah-Jones has been honored with a MacArthur Foundation “genius grant,” a Pulitzer Prize, and has had the New York Times backing her error-riddled and fundamentally mistaken 1619 Project as a curriculum throughout the United States tells us that we live in an intellectually degenerate moment in history. Yesterday, when featured on Meet the Press, she demonstrated genuine intellectual mediocrity. She packs a boatload of BS in this 42 second excerpt:

We know from airport executives’ testimony that the air in airplanes is so gosh darn clean that it’s virtually impossible to catch COVID while flying. But still, when the Democrat backlash began, they agreed that everyone should wear a mask while flying. Now, Anthony Fauci, the man controlling America, has conceded that mandatory vaccines won’t do a thing to make air travel safer—but he still wants a mandate to put even more pressure on people to get those jabs. There’s lots of authority that it’s quite unlikely that you’ll catch COVID in a well-filtered, modern airplane: (snip) Nevertheless, we must still wear masks on those airplanes because...narrative.

It’s hard to believe that, less than 30 years ago, South Africa was a nation riven by apartheid and segregation. To look back on that time period and realize that it wasn’t that long ago is astonishing. Brave men and women stood up and spoke out against the horrendous policy, and eventually, South Africa shook off the bond of apartheid. Desmond Tutu was one of those voices who spoke of the importance of freedom for black South Africans, and now he is with his Heavenly Father. Tutu passed away on Sunday at the age of 90.

With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old. That is one year older than Ronald Reagan’s age when he left office in 1988.Looking at the 2024 contest from the other side of the race, there is no reason to expect that Joe Biden
