NEW YORK— New York’s attorney general recently subpoenaed former President Donald Trump and his two eldest children, Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr., demanding their testimony in connection with a civil investigation into the family’s business practices, according to a court filing made public Monday. The subpoenas, stemming from Attorney General Letitia James’ yearslong investigation into matters including “the valuation of properties owned or controlled” by Trump and his company, the Trump Organization, came to light after James went to court last month seeking to force the Trumps to comply.

Most of us couldn't handle the legal onslaught of a government full of power-mad politicians and lawyers. I'm giving the Trumps the edge this time. I'm suprised the letches in the NY AG and SDNY folks didn't include Hope Hicks in the subpoenas so they could get a glance at her legs, too.

Didn't we hear that President Trump had been in constant audit by the IRS for the past 10 years? I presume if they had anything on him, they would have charged him by now. Sad to think people have rights until it pertains to the Trump family. It looks to be more of an abuse of office against a potential political opponent.

And yet, the Biden’s are out of reach of the law even though the evidence is out there to prosecute them to the fullest extent. The Trump family has been persecuted by democrat zealots for years while real criminals are released. Our justice system is broken and that is because democrats have taken a sledgehammer to it for political reasons. They are now using it as a political weapon and evidently all these vaunted judges and legal scholars are fine with it since we never hear a peep out of them. Clearly, they are okay with one-sided justice. The corrupting influence of situational ethics is a byproduct of most law schools today. Reverence for the law and Constitution are exchanged for loyalty to the democrat party. I must be naive because I actually believed men and women of integrity inhabited those institutions. Lately, I have been awakened to the corruption that seems to be rampant in the legal, medical, and scientific communities as have abandoned their own consciences to become tools of leftist ideology. Clearly, our elites are experiencing a moral crisis in this country and we are all suffering because of it. Edmund Burke could not have been more prescient when he stated, “The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing.”

Seventeen alleged gang members responsible for a spate of shootings, including four murders, were charged in an 118-count indictment in Brooklyn on Tuesday, officials announced. The defendants, 14 of whom are teenagers, are accused of hunting down rival gang members and committing a series of armed assaults, killing four people and wounding 10 in the process, the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office said. (Photos) “One of the most disturbing aspects of this case is the age of the defendants in this indictment. Some of them were as young as 14 or 15 years old” when the crimes were committed, said Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez at a news conference.

Riots? What riots? Insurrection in American cities in 2020? Nothing to see here, folks. Move along. Thus it is with the Stalinesque show trial that is the January 6 Committee. As my colleague Melissa Mackenzie illustrated yesterday, “the Democrats are running their committee like a criminal trial.” It is indeed blatantly unconstitutional and no one is attempting to stop them. Why?What is particularly telling about the hysteria over January 6 is that infinitely worse riots took place across America in 2020 — a series of genuine and decidedly violent insurrections in the name of Black Lives Matter — and there is nary an investigation in sight.

A lengthy New York Times editorial over the weekend has set the stage for this week’s Jan. 6 anniversary coverage. “Every Day Is Jan. 6 Now,” declare the Times editors, warning that Republican lawmakers in 41 states “have been trying to advance the goals of the Jan. 6 rioters — not by breaking laws but by making them.”The argument itself, that tweaking state election law is somehow a subversion of democracy, is absurd and incredibly lazy. But it’s important to note, if only because it will serve as the baseline narrative for the entire corporate media’s Jan. 6 coverage this week.Their message — they will all have more or less

With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old.
