Keith Olbermann is the new ‘Scrooge’
after tweet about Mitt Romney’s family

Twitter turned on Keith Olbermann after he mocked a photo of Sen. Mitt Romney’s large extended family and suggested the clan use birth control. The sports correspondent-turned-liberal political commentator posted a screenshot of Romney’s Christmas greeting Wednesday with the caption: “Somebody gift these people some vasectomies.” The Mormon Republican senator from Utah and his wife, Anne, have five sons and dozens of grandchildren. His Christmas post featured the photo, a Bible verse and the greeting, “From my family to yours, Merry Christmas!”(Snip)“Keith Olbermann has no children. Just an empty penthouse near Central Park where he yells at people about vaccines all day like the Scrooge.

Comments:

Pierre Delecto can spend quality time with his children and grandchildren (hopefully soon, in his retirement), and Keith Olbermann can reflect fondly on the many rest stop men's rooms he's cruised. Can't we all get along, and why does the highly touted "gay" lifestyle so often translate to hollow and bitter?

hey Keith, this is none of your business. Have you ever been asked for money to help support this family. NOPE. A much as I don't like romney, he has never asked for any donations to help support his kids. do you keith, complain about your taxes being raised to support dead beat dads kids. bet not. do you complain about the illegals coming over the border and living off the tax payer so they don't have to support them selves or their kids.. bet not.

Although I voted for Romney in 2012, he's well to the left of me politically, and I don't really like him. He'd be a fairly good Democrat but calls himself a Republican. As if. That said, God bless the Romney family, and all American families. America needs successive generations of children who receive good moral and formal educations, and grow up to be responsible, productive citizens. In my experience friends from a few protestant, Catholic, and LDS families had a large number of children--up to 12--and their homes were mostly happy places. Olbermann, probably not exclusively gay, is known by numerous girlfriends he left high and dry, some calling him the world's worst and most inconsiderate lover. With him a night in the sack lasted five seconds. Two jerks, a quiver, and the Z's start stacking up after the sackmate is told to find her way out. There's absolutely nothing good about Olbermann. He's insane..

Agree with poster # 1, although Romney's wife seems like a wonderful woman. As to Oberman, you could add to empty apartment etc. no job, at least that I can discern. The only thing I have heard re: him in years is various women citing harrassment.

Oddly, Harry and Meghan haven't weighed in on this yet. Why, just last week they explained they weren't a family UNTIL the 2nd child, Lilbet, arrived. Before that, they were just "a mama and a papa." So yup, Romney's got himself a family, that's for sure. But I don't know what single children living with their parents or a single parent living with her children are supposed to be called. Maybe Oprah can host another Runaway Royals spectacle for some clarification.

I don't care for Romney's Political moves, but I don't have a problem with his Family. I love the Photo. They look like a very nice family. Unless they are taking Money from the Government to support that family, it shouldn't be anyone's business how many are in the Family! Looks to me like they are all well dressed and the Boys have short Haircuts and don't look like Homeless people (like some of the Movie Star's Families appear in their family photos). So, leave them alone!

I have no problem with the size of Mitt Romney's family. I grew up in a family of 5 kids and two parents. My Dad was raised in a family of 5 and my Mom grew up in a family of 8. My dad and I were talking the other day, counting cousins, nieces, nephews and all of their spouses and children. We realized that if we were to ever hold a family reunion, we would have to rent a football stadium to accommodate everyone!!

I can't think of one time there's been anything negative reported about the personal behavior of any of the Romney children. As with many posting above me, my feelings about Mitt are not flattering. But I commend him and his wife for raising a wonderful, large family. In these times of limited interest in our young people for marrying and having children, I am grateful to those who are providing our country with our replacements, so desperately needed. Better to have these people as our future than what's invading us illegally. As to Keith, I recall some stories years ago from people who work with him. They were repulsed by his filthy personal habits, particularly as relate to failure to wash his hands after using the bathroom. I could never remove that image from my mind, and think of it every time I accidentally see his face.

Despite running for the presidency and the Senate as a conservative Republican, Mitt reminds me of some of the democrats of the early eighties, like Tip O'Neil and Moynihan, guys whose policy preferences I did not like but whose love for our country wasn't really an issue. Mitt is not like a modern democrat, pining away for a communist overthrow of our country. Before being elected as president, even Trump has identified as a social liberal or centrist. At the time of 9/11/01, Trump had changed his party affiliation to democrat. While conservatives found Trump to be the best option for president in 2016, he has never considered himself an ideological conservative. In 2015, he stated that politically, he identified with some things as a democrat. Unlike the Godless, America-hating, jihad-loving democrats, there is very little "purity" among republicans, voters or politicians.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office has dropped a probe into Andrew Cuomo over allegations he mishandled nursing homes during the initial coronavirus outbreak, the ex-governor’s lawyer said Monday. Cuomo’s spokesman forwarded a statement from Elkan Abramowitz, an attorney who had repped the governor’s office under Cuomo. “I was contacted today by the head of the Elder Care Unit from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office who informed me they have closed its investigation involving the Executive Chamber and nursing homes,” Abramowitz said. “I was told that after a thorough investigation—as we have said all along—there was no evidence to suggest that any laws were broken.”

Sri Lanka is facing a deepening financial and humanitarian crisis with fears it could go bankrupt in 2022 as inflation rises to record levels, food prices rocket and its coffers run dry. The meltdown faced by the government, led by the strongman president Gotabaya Rajapaksa, is in part caused by the immediate impact of the Covid crisis and the loss of tourism but is compounded by high government spending and tax cuts eroding state revenues, vast debt repayments to China and foreign exchange reserves at their lowest levels in a decade. Inflation has meanwhile been spurred by the government printing money to pay off domestic loans and foreign bonds.

With the turn of the calendar to 2022, Republicans are not only looking to the 2022 midterm elections but to the prospect of Donald Trump running in 2024. Trump is hugely popular with the party’s base and that popularity freezes the plans of other possible candidates for the 2024 nomination. Trump’s hold on that nomination is brittle, however, because of his age. On election day in 2024 Donald Trump will be 78 years old. That is one year older than Ronald Reagan’s age when he left office in 1988.Looking at the 2024 contest from the other side of the race, there is no reason to expect that Joe Biden

In a letter Monday to colleagues, Schumer, D-N.Y., said the Senate “must evolve” and will “debate and consider” the rules changes by Jan. 17, on or before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as the Democrats seek to overcome Republican opposition to their elections law package. “Let me be clear: January 6th was a symptom of a broader illness — an effort to delegitimize our election process,”

Recently ousted Democratic Nassau County (N.Y.) Executive Laura Curran told "Watters' World" on Saturday that her party is conveying weakness and faces a "bloodbath" in the 2022 midterms if it doesn't step up. LAURA CURRAN: Unfortunately, my party, the Democratic Party, just conveys weakness right now. It almost feels like elder abuse with what's going on with President Biden. He has a hard time putting a sentence together. I think everyone gets nervous listening to him talk, he's going to mess up. What we need always, and especially now, is someone who exudes confidence and competence. Someone who sets a reassuring tone.
