Peggy Noonan doesn’t always get it right (no one does) but when she does, liberal heads explode. Case in point, her column this week for the Wall Street Journal. Noonan hits the nail on the head with her brutally honest assessment of Kamala Harris as vice-president. Leftists are in need of a safe space.
The purpose of the column is to point out that Kamala is rightly being criticized for her unseriousness and incompetence in office. Americans are worried about that because it is a threat to our country. She is a heartbeat away from being the most powerful politician on earth

Peggy Noonan is pretentious and is typical of country club Republicans who believe they are the smartest, wittiest, and of course, the only ones worthy to lead the party. She loathed President Trump because he wasn’t one of them and didn’t care to be. He was just not sophisticated enough for her tastes and therefore was unfit for the office even though he accomplished more in the very worst of circumstances than any other President in modern times. That meant nothing to her because he did not have the proper Republican pedigree or her particular style of elitist wordsmithery. Noonan’s peers would rather rise above all the ugliness of partisan politics and allow the opposition to run lawless than actually confront the issues head on. They, will, however, cut you off at the knees behind your back if you do not behave in the manner they see fit. They are the dirty elitist Republican cabal that works behind the scenes against their own President and Mitch McConnell is their king, a man little Peggy, no doubt, holds in high esteem. They look down on anyone who is not one of them. They have been the gate keepers in Washington and cannot stand the fact that Donald J. Trump grabbed the keys to their carefully constructed little fiefdom they created and returned them to we the people. They cannot abide the fact that the great unwashed masses actually defied them and put Donald J. Trump in office and what’s worse, he actually succeeded where they had failed for decades. How dare he, indeed. They are the American aristocracy and will tell you how it is done whether you like it or not. They are quite a colorful lot too, blue bloods with a wide yellow stripe down their backs indicating their willingness to surrender the country to the democrats because they hated the rough around the edges President Trump more than they loved their country. They cultivated their American political caste system and were not about to allow it to be destroyed.

Like her or not, Peggy is right about Kamala, and her suggestions for improvement have merit. Unfortunately for the country, KH will not listen... she will permit left wing psychos to blame her problems on race and sex. But it really isn't her fault - she has coasted through her entire life relying on her race and sex to get ahead. She should have never been selected for the VP position, but Biden likes blacks who are clean and articulate - like Barack.

I was, quite frankly, surprised by this latest editorial by Peggy Noonan. Kamala Harris is all about self promotion promotion. Yet only now has she shown any awareness of it. Up to now she has only had praise for Biden and his regime. If she would look closer at the Biden regime she would find many, many examples of incompetence and country destroying policies.

Why are we picking on Kamala Harris.
Certainly she is incompetent and according to staff that are quitting she is a nasty piece of work.
But she still has her mind, which is more than anyone can say about Joe Biden.
We don't have a Kamala problem, we have a problem with the whole damned stinking Biden administration from the top to the bottom.
Sure we need to get rid of Kamala , but why?
Because pretty soon we will have to get rid of Biden and she will be his replacement.
That is the real reason.
The fact is The democrats are responsible for the both of them and the both of them are responsible for the people they appointed.

Rinktum, in his/her analysis has it right about Noonan. I agree with Noonan on many if not most things - she has good, sound Republican principles and values. But she and a few other elitist Republicans (George Will is one), just can't deal with the fact that the Republican party is in process of shedding its elitist facade, and becoming more and more populist. This change in the Republican Party will preserve our Republic and lead it to greater prosperity and personal freedom, and - most importantly - drive the menace of Socialism in the form of the new Democratic Party from our midst.

Kamala Harris got her start as a prominent politician's mistress. We're not talking behind the scenes, but a public, in-your-face running around with a married man. That tells me everything I need to know about her.

Why would anyone stream words out to a knucklehead loser like Harris? I gave up on Noonan back in the late eighties but I did like that Noonan drew fire from the real sexist, racist on the left with added worn out 'white privilege' word thrown in. Harris is Biden's problem because wife Jill held a grudge after those debates when Harris referred, and rightly so, that Biden was a racist. There's plenty of evidence in Biden's career that he's a two-faced lying racist. Joe Biden, the fraud president, chose Harris to try to cleanse his racist self of his past now they are stuck with it. Give up Peggy you are talking or giving advice to one of the dumbest people in Washington.

The underlying problem is the Democrats obsession with elevating unqualified and/or unprepared people to high positions in which they will not succeed. We see it across the board - mayors, Senators, governors, CEO's, etc... Condi Rice is one of the few black women who could be taken seriously as President at a moments notice. Most others have been Oprah-ized and speak in clichés.

Who didn't see this coming?
Kackles couldn't run a Presidential campaign without the wheels coming off of it.
The very same lack of management and leadership and the resulting personnel problems occurred in the campaign during the democrat primaries. She didn't not even have a favorable showing in her own state, yet the press kept pretending that she was a contender and included her in the debates. Then, they orchestrated and publicized her ''gotcha'' moment during the debate when she confronted Biden about.... wait for it... forced bussing back in the 1970s [an issue current voters could not care less about].
Kackles is nothing but an artificial media concoction that was foisted on the voters. When democratic voters rejected her in the primary, even in her home state, the press did what they are doing now with their tired tripe of ''the voters are just too racist, sexist, and stoopid to recognize how brilliant she is''.

Joe is mentally slipping? A transmission may slip but the car still goes. Joe has a blown engine. Full stop, no fixing.
So Kamala has hired consultants to make her office function? Everybody knows that the definition of a consultant is a guy who borrows your watch to tell you what time it is then he keeps the watch. IOW, he must have something to work with before he can "help" you. I'm sure those consultants are quickly learning what FUBAR means.

It was full of 'Que Mala' do this and do that to make it right. It read like Peg was cheering Harris on and just giving constructive criticism. Nice to list all of 'Mala's faults but hardly damning.

There is no saving Kamala Harris. She was promoted far beyond her capabilities three jobs ago, and no amount of advice or coaching can remedy that. She cannot do the job of vice president, and therefore cannot do the job as president. Persuade her to resign, nominate Hillary in her place, let Sleepy Joe resign and hand the reigns to Hillary, and let's have a rematch in 2024. But they better do it all before the democrats lose the Senate next year, because Hillary will have to nominate her VP replacement. Do it.
Trump won..

I agree with poster #1...noonan is and always will be a never/Trumper...you needn't worry Peggy...crooked hillary is in the wings waiting for an entrance cue...if Mr. Magoo's breathless speech at the Dole funeral is any indication of biden's heart function..com'on three steps up and he's out of breath?....it means obama and staff are running him ragged in hopes of a funeral...then they don't have to 25th Amendment him..just wait for him to drop...and then when the senate confirms crooked hillary as vp...she's only an accident away from being an unelected president...

Long before her Trump-bashing, I lost all respect for her in 2008. When Sarah Palin gave that rousing speech that made any Republican worth his/her salt wish that we could flip the ticket and put that loser John McCain in the veep slot, Peggy Noonan's reaction was to scoff "It's [the election's] over!"
