More than 200 newspapers across the U.S. have reportedly joined antitrust lawsuits against Google and Facebook over the past year. The lawsuits claim that Facebook and Google have monopolized the digital ads market, taking revenue that should have gone to local news outlets. Axios reports that newspapers across the United States have been joining antitrust lawsuits against Google and Facebook for the past year, claiming that the tech giants monopolized the online digital ads market and took revenue that would otherwise have gone to local news.

Comments:

It is time to take a stand against these people who think they can rule our voice, our lives, our country. If we don't fight for freedom and our constitution then we failed future generations. Many fought before us so we could live free. Stand up for our constitutional rights, our sovereignty, our values as a nation, and our security!

Many newspapers are just as bad as google and Facebook. Newspapers forgot about giving unbiased news a long time ago. They forgot that the biased opinion does not beling on the front page as news. For the reader, it doesn’t matter where the money goes.

My "local" paper is owned by Gannett. There are only a handful of local reporters. 90% of the content is USA Today. It's not a local paper and I don't need national and international content from my local paper, particularly not the content provided by USA Today. Local papers need to cover local stories, we have the internet for everything else.

Wouldn't you know it, the biggest sins of Google and Fakebook are the lies, spying, bias, bullying, leftist preferences, Antifa, LGBTQXZ and BLM garbage but the newsies are quibbling about money lost on ads. For their 90% leftist propaganda spewing, they all deserve to die, Google and Fakebook with them.

It's time to bust up those malicious monopolies and limit their power to distort the public's perceptions. PS: It's also time to put a stop to the spread of redundant articles (where a statement is repeated, word for word or very nearly so, again and again. The ubiquitous pattern of quoting a tweet right before embedding the same tweet is already too much.

There are pretty much no local papers any more. All were bought up for about $200 each by the big, leftist newspaper chains. Google is evil. Always stay away from Google. A tiny bit of good news. I was watching a video on Sen. Johnson's Vaccine Mandate roundtable (very long, but great information, very sad personal accounts of vaccine deaths and injuries, and expert comments by some doctors and researchers). It is very, very slow loading many times, long delays before starting, on one platform I had no video. The host is Rumble, which is a no censoring alternative to YouTube. I was frustrated at the slow presentation and after a bunch of fiddling, finally did a search on "my Rumble video plays slowly"..... And I discovered that in early 2021 Rumble had an average of 1.6 million views a day. In October of 2021 Rumble had an average of 44 million views a day. A 2800% increase in viewership. THAT is wonderful! People are getting sick of the EVIL of Google/YouTube shutting down all discussions that aren't approved by the Totalitarians In Charge, and are moving in huge numbers to an open video forum. And Rumble is scrambling to add servers and capacity, expanding as fast as they can, and still cannot keep up. More power to them. To hell with YouTube. This is GREAT news. Screw the evil Google monsters. STAY AWAY from Google. Never use Google to search. There are plenty of others, maybe not perfect, but all better than evil Google. I use Bing and get a truly beautiful photo each day, and often learn a thing or two about where the photo was taken or what the subject is.

I don’t use Google…ever. They track you relentlessly. Use StartPage or DuckDuckGo for anonymous surfing. You won’t get ads popping up and shoved in you face.

Over the past half century or so, American law enforcement and popular culture have conferred an extra level of seriousness and gravity to “hate crimes” as opposed to regular crimes. The definition of a hate crime, according to the FBI, is a regular crime with an added element of bias. “A ‘criminal’ offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender’s bias against a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender, or gender identity,” the FBI.gov website states.

Levine grilled Alec about claims made in his first sit-down interview since he accidentally killed Halyna Hutchins. A home invasion event is terrifying. Some of my relatives experienced a very violent home invasion recently. Thankfully, they were lucky and were able to defend themselves. But, it could have been much more tragic. A home invasion is often very sudden. There is no way to know for sure if there are multiple intruders. You also don’t know their intentions. But, you do know one thing… they just committed a felony… which means they probably don’t have inhibitions about committing another felony. And they probably don’t want any witnesses to their crime. You must assume the worst… that they are there with violent intent.

DAVIS, Calif. — Banana peels, chicken bones and leftover veggies won't have a place in California trashcans under the nation's largest mandatory residential food waste recycling program that's set to take effect in January. The effort is designed to keep landfills in the most populous U.S. state clear of food waste that damages the atmosphere as it decays. When food scraps and other organic materials break down they emit methane, a greenhouse gas more potent and damaging in the short-term than carbon emissions from fossil fuels. To avoid those emissions, California plans to start converting residents' food waste into compost or

Should people be punted from parties if their pigment is paltry? Such a question’s currently being publicly posed at a private liberal arts school in Pennsylvania. A December 2nd op-ed at Swarthmore College boasts a titillating title: “Should We Be Kicking White People Out of Parties?” Writer Sameer Halepoto notes that Caucasians are crowding soirees. And when whites are out and about, others are put out: Hosted by the Swarthmore Queer Union (SQU), Swarthmore African Student Association (SASA), Swarthmore ENLACE, and the Swarthmore African-American Student Society (SASS), the party at Paces the Saturday before Thanksgiving welcomed diversity more than most.
