New York Moves to Invalidate American Citizenship

While many Americans have been focused on the endless carnage the Biden administration has wrought on our border, New York City is on the verge of passing radical legislation to give migrants the right to vote in city elections. The proposed bill would allow roughly 800,000 non-citizens to vote as long as they have legal status or a work visa. The legislation is expected to be voted on next month and has the support of incumbent Mayor Bill de Blasio, as well as incoming Mayor Eric Adams, whose framing of the bill has been misguided, if not intentionally deceptive. "We cannot be a beacon to the world

Comments:

I can't imagine this being allowed to stand without first seeing the inside of a courtroom in challenge!! And what happens when these "enlightened migrants" decide to move to states which don't allow this and violated federal voting laws??

someone had better find some way to neutralize comrade deblasio after he leaves office because as long as he has political standing he will be a useful tool for the demcommies. don't have much hope for Eric Adams, either. New York will uninhabitable within the next ten years. what is happening in New York (city & state) politics is a political map for destruction.

My guess is that a city can probably decide who can vote. The city or state cannot allow non-citizens to vote in a federal election, but I'm sure these "half-voters" will be on the rolls and will wind up voting in the nationals, too. It's not like we verify who votes anymore in this country. Iran is better at it than we are.

Correction to the statement by #3. NYC is totally corrupt, but NYS outside the city generally is not. Apparently corruption is inevitably engendered by population density, as we see in nearly every large city in this country. Thomas Jefferson once said that...When we have people living on top of each other like in Europe, we will become as corrupt as Europe is...

No surprise there. The last thing Dems want is to be held accountable by legitimate voters, AKA American citizens. In order to "win" they need to import more poverty into the US. That is why, on his first day in office, Biden opened our borders, did away with President Trump's sensible "Remain in Mexico" policy, and encouraged illegal aliens to flood the United States of America at their convenience. Of course, de Blasio and his cronies will pretend voting will be "limited" to a subset of non-citizens. But if it were possible to limit illegal voting, it wouldn't be a "thing" that already happens in every election. Dems can say it wouldn't apply to presidential elections, but again, that kind of cheating already happens. Dems want to disenfranchise legitimate American voters by inviting non-citizens to enlarge the voting pool. It's a way to quickly outnumber legitimate voters. It's just another way to cheat.

There is no better time for the GOP to craft a new Contract with America to drive the campaigns for both the 2022 midterms and 2024 Presidential election year. That's right, it should focus their campaign strategy for the next three years. Why? Even if there is an overwhelming GOP landslide next November, the chances of having a big enough swing to be able overcome a Biden veto is unlikely. No matter what Republican candidates promise; it will be hard to meet expectations until we have a president in office who will support their agenda. Even with that limitation, it is vital to proceed and clarify what we stand for. It isn't just the candidates conservatives need to elect;
