Elon Musk warned SpaceX employees that the firm could face a possible bankruptcy if it doesn’t make progress on developing the Raptor engines designed to power its Starship rocket. Starship is the spacecraft that SpaceX intends to use to send humans and cargo to the Moon as well as Mars. Musk fired off an urgent companywide e-mail on Friday in which he described the “Raptor production crisis” as a “disaster” which was “much worse than it seemed a few weeks ago.” The firm has so far conducted several short test flights of its prototype from its Texas facility. And it seems like just a month ago Musk's $100 Billion in SpaceX made him richer than Bezos. It is all funny money at those levels, and bankruptcy is just a game. Even Trump played it.

Dumb azz. It's called Return On Investment. If you can't make money off sending your princple assets into an airless black void, you might want to rethink your company's strategy without the ego factor in the equation.

Tesla is profitable because their income is boosted by carbon offsets other automakers must pay them under Green American law. Maybe some of these magical income boosters could be shifted to SpaceX and then voila, they're now profitable again.

If it goes belly-up then the ChiComs will buy it for 3 cents on the dollar. Then THEY will have the reuseable-booster technology, not the US. By the way, Musk is talking about company bankruptcy..... isn't he one of the richest guys on the planet? How about HE kick in a few bucks?

Unfortunately any potential government assistance will be spent on electric cars, fake infrastructure and cleaning imaginary carbon deposits out of the atmosphere. Musk has made more progress on space travel in a few short years than NASA has in the past forty years while enjoying an unlimited budget.
