Lightfoot Says Rittenhouse Judge ‘Put
His Thumb on the Scale' During Murder Trial

Original Article

Posted By: AltaD, 11/23/2021 1:19:47 PM

While Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot says that she respect’s the jury’s acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse in his Wisconsin murder trial, she had some strong words for Judge Bruce Schroeder’s handling of the case, saying that the judge “put his thumb on the scale” with some of his actions during the trial. (Snip) “Why on Earth did that child have an AR-15, leave his home in Antioch, and think that he had the right to go up to another state to supposedly protect a city?” she said.(Snip)“He had no business being there. None,” she added.

Comments:

Evidently Lightfoot has not read the facts of the case.

Yep, that's the ticket. A 17-year old kid has bamboozled the entire legal system of the State of Wisconsin through his magnetism and charm. That's the ticket, Mayor Beetlejuice? Or, it could be that the kid was actually innocent and a bunch of your citizens headed up I-94 to Kenosha to riot and loot.

Wait, this is the mayor of the most barbarian city in the USA telling us we don't have the right to defend ourselves from rioters who are the ones who have no right to be doing what they are doing? No wonder her city is an ever expanding graveyard for teenagers with guns. She should apologize and resign. I used to live in Chicago back before you were taking your life in your hands going to the grocery store.

And what percentage of the rioters were from out of state? I guess you're allowed to travel freely in these United States now as long as your intent is to riot, loot and burn. Maybe you should figure out how to control crime in your city before commenting. More people are shot in Chicago in one weekend than in Afghanistan in a year.

This garbage about ''having no right to be there'' is getting tiresome. He had the same right to be there as anyone else, it is public property. The rioters had no right to destroy the property of others. Why are they so fixated on his crossing state lines and going to another state? Americans are allowed to travel from state-to-state anytime they like, for any reason or no reason at all. What leftist really mean when they parrot these talking-points is ''how dare he interfere with our storm troopers as they are rioting for our cause''.

The facts she highlights are all wrong. Everybody knows that now. His family lives there; he spent the day working as a lifeguard; the curfew caught him and he had to spend the night; he went the next day with a friend to a business that had employed (the friend, I guess) and had been partly burned down the night beore, and offered to help. The gun was in Waukesha already, and sorry Mayor, guns are legal. They went to the business and he stood out front or something and offered medical help to anyone who needed it and by the way that was the rioters And whle he stood there Rosenbaum came up and threatened to kill him, then came back and did it again and this time grabbed his gun. The kid was afraid for his life and he shot Rosenbaum. Rosenbaum threatened his life in word and deed. For this you get shot. Unsurprisingly. Others heard the shots and began to chase him and soon there was a mob chasing and striking him and to all reasonable appearances trying to kill. It is clear he shot t save his life and he'd be dead if he hadn't. The donkeys think we have no right to save our own lives. Criminal privilege.

The radicals who tell Joe Biden what to do as president overreached when they had him nominate Saule Omarova as comptroller of the currency, a powerful regulator of the banking system. The émigré from Soviet-era Kazakhstan, a Lenin Scholar at Moscow State University, earned a credential as a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, while also earning the credential of thief for an arrest for shoplifting in Madison, demonstrating contempt for private property. Naturally, she ended up as a professor. That contempt, along with a Soviet commissar's view of private enterprise, when she expressed a desire to starve oil and gas producers of capital and drive them into bankruptcy,

PHOENIX — Pete Buttigieg has long been a man in a hurry. Since 2010, he has run for treasurer of Indiana, mayor of South Bend, chair of the Democratic National Committee, and president of the United States. At 39, he is one of the most omnipresent and newly-powerful members of President Joe Biden’s Cabinet. But he says he’s not thinking about what comes next, even as he’s buzzed about as a potential Biden heir. (Snip) The chatter has frustrated some staffers of color who see it as disrespectful to Kamala Harris — the first Black woman vice president — and

Millions of citizens long ago concluded that professional sports, academia, and entertainment were no longer disinterested institutions, but far Left and deliberately hostile to Middle America. Yet American conservatives still adamantly supported the nation’s traditional investigatory, intelligence, and military agencies—especially when they came under budgetary or cultural attacks. Not so much anymore. For the first time in memory, conservatives now connect the FBI hierarchy with bureaucratic bloat, political bias, and even illegality. In the last five years, the FBI was mostly in the news for the checkered careers of James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Robert Mueller, Lisa Page, and Peter Strzok. Add in the criminality of convicted FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith.

Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren is calling for an investigation into the rapid increase in turkey prices as Americans face sticker shock at the grocery store. In a letter sent to Assistant Attorney General of the Antitrust Division Jonathan Kanter this week, Warren is asking the Department of Justice to investigate the poultry industry. She's blaming a rise in prices on "corporate greed," rather than on President Joe Biden's inflationary policies. "The price of turkey has increased by 24% over the past year, far outpacing other Thanksgiving foods,

Santa Cruz County in California issued a mask mandate for all indoor settings, including private homes, ahead of the holiday season. The mandate went into effect at 11:59 p.m. on November 21 and requires “all individuals to wear a face covering when indoors regardless of vaccination status.” “Unfortunately, a potential winter surge appears to be a significant threat to the health and safety of our community,” said Santa Cruz County Health Officer Dr. Gail Newel in the announcement. “As we look forward to spending time with those we love during the holidays, it is important to protect vulnerable friends and family members by wearing a mask indoors.
