Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's new book touting himself as the potential savior of the Republican Party has sold just over 2,000 copies in the week since it was published. In its first week available in stores, Christie's tome titled Republican Rescue has sold just 2,289 copies, according to BookScan data cited by the publishing newsletter Press Run. Press Run author Eric Boehlert called the sales figures a 'a colossal publishing flop' and 'debacle' for Christie, comparing the dismal sales to the same-week sales of 24,000 for Jonathan Karl's new political book, Betrayal: The Final Act of the Trump Show. The 'bullied' teenage gunman who shot dead four students at Oxford High School in Michigan on Tuesday has been identified as 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley. Crumbley lives with his parents James and Jennifer in a small home in Oxford, less than two miles from where he opened fire on Tuesday, killing Tate Myre, 16, Hana St Juliana, 14, and 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin. The National Basketball Association (NBA) flexed its social justice muscles this week when the National Basketball Social Justice Coalition released a new video advertising the various causes that the organization will push. The video marks the coalition’s first step onto the media scene after the NBA announced the social justice-minded group last year.

Details are thin, but Presidentish Joe Biden reportedly will suspend his vaccine mandate for federal workers.
According to a memo issued by the Biden administration, the “White House’s Office of Management and Budget is telling federal agencies they should hold off on suspending or firing federal workers for not complying with the vaccine mandate until after the holidays.”
This is a huge cave for an administration whose remaining anti-COVID effort is focused almost exclusively on the vaccine mandate.
