Women have come a long way. Surely, there was a time when some didn’t want to be women. Early in America, they weren’t allowed to vote. But they gained that right, and upward they went. Then bras were burned and independence espoused. Later — some might say — they replaced men as the less-maligned sex. And now…they don’t want to be women. Such is the case for select sojourners, and it’s an issue at a women’s college in Virginia. As reported by NPR, a crew of collegiate females is ditching their daughterness.

A total of seven children are still recovering in the hospital one week after a crazed driver plowed through revelers at an annual Christmas celebration in the Milwaukee suburb, killing six people and injuring more than 60 others.

I take my texts today from Anonymous—or, what is functionally equivalent, from quotations that have been so promiscuously attributed that no one is really certain who first uttered them. (snip) I am pretty sure that none of those worthies is responsible for my two quotations, to wit, the observation that “A gentleman is never unintentionally rude” and the imperative “Never apologize, never explain.” The first occurred to me while watching Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s snide but amusing comments about her Minnesota colleague Ilhan Omar, she of the inevitable head dress, fondness for anti-Semitic and anti-American remarks, and confusion about the difference between “brother” and “husband.”

Happy Monday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. In the future, everyone will have their own lingerie calendar. What a weekend. Lots of quality time with family, including crossing something off of my sports fan bucket list. My daughter and I joined my sister, brother-in-law, and nieces in Ann Arbor for the Ohio State/Michigan game in the Big House. Snow all game, drunk people, a Michigan victory…who could ask for more?I should be clear: the snow during the game was fun. Oddly, we don’t get a lot of that at games in Tucson. However, I remain a warm-weather guy. Also, I do hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving weekend.

Walnut Creek police and city officials warned businesses Sunday that the same group of thieves that targeted a Nordstrom at Broadway Plaza on Saturday night may try to steal from shops again in the next few days. While the thievery threat is unconfirmed, and a specific location and time remain unknown, police who are “actively monitoring intelligence” said in a community tweet that businesses “may consider closing early or taking other precautions … out of an abundance of caution.” According to the tweet, the Walnut Creek police are calling out additional officers and reserves.

The ironies of assisted suicide never end. Germany allows suicide on demand — including assistance — as a fundamental constitutional right. But now, you must be vaccinated against COVID before a euthanasia group will help you kill yourself. From the Spectator story: As European countries battle to limit the spread of the virus, Verein Sterbehilfe – the German Euthanasia Association – has issued a new directive, declaring it will now only help those who have been vaccinated or recovered from the disease. In a statement, the association said: “Euthanasia and the preparatory examination of the voluntary responsibility of our members willing to die require human closeness.

In her new book, “Laptop from Hell,” Post columnist Miranda Devine reconstructs the Biden family’s quest for cash by using files left on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop. Sunday, she detailed how Hunter and his uncle Jim Biden entered into a deal with Chinese government-linked energy conglomerate CFEC, and contacted businessman Tony Bobulinski to run the enterprise. Here, Bobulinski meets “the big guy” — Joe Biden himself. Hunter Biden and his Uncle Jim were already waiting for Tony Bobulinski in the lobby bar of the Beverly Hilton when he arrived at 10 p.m. on May 2, 2017. The Bidens had chosen a discreet couch behind a thick marble column

Americans are making their lists, checking them twice, and finding that Washington politicians have been naughty, not nice, when it comes to the U.S.’ growing inflation problem and its supply-chain chaos. Indeed, the November I&I/TIPP Poll shows Americans overwhelmingly blame our Potomac-based political class for the current problems. The poll asked: “In general, how responsible are politicians in Washington for recent increases in gasoline and food prices?” The answer suggests coal (or perhaps tiny solar panels?) in many politicians’ stockings this year: 69% of those responding said politicians were responsible,

Anthony Fauci is a disturbed and disturbing man. An unelected bureaucrat who is consistently wrong about things (going back to AIDS), who used taxpayer money to help develop the COVID that plagues us, and who has funded indescribably cruel animal research, he is threatening to shut America down again, throwing mud at elected officials, and anointing himself as the embodiment of “science” in America. Never in American history has a megalomaniac had so much power and been so destructive. I wrote the other day that, judging by the numbers of diagnoses and deaths in South Africa, the omicron variant seems unexciting.

The search for phantom voters is over. Phantom voters are sitting next to you at the restaurant or standing next to you at the bank. They are your friend and neighbor. You may be a phantom and not know it. Phantom voters, the definition, is morphing from fake voters hiding in UPS boxes to people who advanced computer models predict will not vote. Don't get me wrong — there are thousands of phantom voters living in churches, R.V. parks, cemeteries, homeless shelters, hotels, and virtual mailboxes. It's just that there are as many, perhaps more, who live active, healthy, honest lives on voter rolls.

Despite the media’s – if you pardon the expression – whitewash of what seems likely to be a racist vendetta spurred on by the garbage cesspool of Marxist/BLM/CRT lies he swam in, the evidence we have seen seems to point inextricably to this being a racial terror attack by a criminal degenerate.

Most of the media continue to ignore Hunter Biden like toddlers with their fingers in their ears. His laptop is “unconfirmed.” “Unsubstantiated.” “It doesn’t matter.” The first two are obviously false, a weak excuse to cover things up for the administration. From the beginning, the laptop was substantiated: Hunter’s former business partner Tony Bobulinski confirmed his correspondence was real. Hunter Biden never denied they were his files; in fact, his memoir confirms the pictures of the drug use, prostitutes and financial documents from the laptop. Post columnist Miranda Devine’s new book, “Laptop from Hell,” details how the Chinese gave Hunter a 3-carat diamond and includes pictures from the computer

I believe that’s the case because I don’t think we’re going to eradicate it.” Fauci’s comment came amid rising cases in the U.S.

With the emergence of the new Omicron Covid variant out of South Africa that’s reportedly more transmissible than Delta, the liberal media’s initial reaction on Sunday was to fret for the future – not in terms of how it could hurt people, but how it could hurt President Biden’s agenda. ABC’s Good Morning America worried about the midterm elections and NBC’s Sunday Today wanted Biden to “use the bully pulpit” against Republicans. ABC congressional correspondent Rachel Scott was filling in as co-anchor of GMA when she asked deputy political director Averi Harper about how the new variant could be a wet blanket for Biden. “Nearly 150 days ago the President said
