Several teen girls who were caught on video attacking a group of Asian students on a SEPTA train in Philadelphia have now been charged with ethnic intimidation and other offenses. On Thursday, the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office approved aggravated assault, ethnic intimidation, criminal conspiracy, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct against the four suspects, who are all under the age of 17. Video of the attack shows a group of teen girls punching and screaming at another group of teens on the train. One of the attackers also punches, knocks over and repeatedly kicks a teen girl

Comments:

Four African American girls under age 17 charged for attacking Asian girls, while riding on the train, all commuting to attend the same high school. Mother of one of the attackers turned in her daughter after seeing broadcast video of the attack. She also apologized, saying she doesn't believe her daughter's actions were racially motivated. "My daughter is Muslim. We do not carry ourselves that way."

"The four attackers in the video are African American while the victims are of Asian descent..." I am actually shocked they named the race of the perpetrators. However, since they are under 17 and in the most protected of racial groups, they will barely get a proverbial slap on the wrist and their records will be wiped once they turn 18. And, ultimately, this will be blamed on Donald Trump. FJB!!! -- and, no, that doesn't have anything to do with this story. But it sure feels good to write it!!!

FTA ... Chief Nestel said they are now offering students at Central High School a safe ride home with a police officer in the aftermath of the attack. So Philly, you live in a city where your children need to be accompanied by a cop to get home from school. Nice. I have a friend who lives 4 blocks away from his kids' school. His dog ups it at 3PM and hikes it over to the school, sits on the step and waits for the kids to come out so he can walk home with them. I like my place better.

I didn't know there was a crime called ethnic intimidation, § 2710. Ethnic intimidation. (a) Offense defined.--A person commits the offense of ethnic intimidation if, with malicious intention toward the race, color, religion or national origin of another individual or group of individuals, he commits an offense under any other provision of this article or under Chapter 33 (relating to arson, criminal mischief and other property destruction) exclusive of section 3307 (relating to institutional vandalism) or under section 3503 (relating to criminal trespass) with respect to such individual or his or her property or with respect to one or more members of such group or to their property.

Ukraine appears to be feeling some of that frustration that we have felt with Joe Biden with his general failure to be effective on virtually anything. Ukraine is under huge assault from Russia, with a convoy bearing down on the capital city of Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he hoped that Joe Biden could say something “useful.” But Ukrainian Member of Parliament Oleksandra Ustinova said this morning on NBC’s “Today” that Biden’s speech was “a total disappointment. Today, the whole world is watching Ukrainians being executed. I cannot name it the other way around.”

President Joe Biden's nominee for the vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff told the Senate "gender advisers" for combat troops are critical to the United States' success, a position some veterans say is nothing more than a left-wing initiative that distracts from the military's core duties. The revelation came during a Dec. 8 exchange with Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D., N.H.), who asked how Adm. Christopher Grady intends to implement "women, peace, and security" legislation within the Joint Chiefs of Staff. "The role of a gender adviser is a way to attack a very significant issue, and if confirmed

Here’s what the video of Wallace announcing his exit looked like. It’s a little weird that Wallace would plug his “new adventure,” including asking people to “check it out,” given that it’s not going to be with Fox News.
