Is a rebellion against President Trump brewing in federal courts in the District of Columbia? We ask because of the latest development in the case of General Michael Flynn. A judge has questioned whether Mr. Trump's pardon of the general might be "too broad." The judge who made that comment isn't handling the Flynn case. His comment is shocking, though, while the judge who is sitting on General Flynn's case has yet to respond to the government's motion that the case be dismissed as pardoned. It was back in July that these columns first warned that Judge Emmet Sullivan, who

What is going on? This is too much. Leave President Trump alone and leave Flynn alone. It's over, it is done. I am sure Clinton and Obama pardoned some questionable persons and it was talked about but then it was dropped and we let it go. The state of our government and the people who are in the positions of authority is not in a good place. And Biden and the walking dead coming up to home plate has me very worried.

Im beginning to think we may have to deal with this prideful overreach of these justices as sedition.

Has anyone read the actual "Notice of Executive Grant of Clemency and Consent Motion to Dismiss as Moot"? I suggest reading...and see if you can spot a "loophole" in this pardon that is the likely issue. Purposeful? Oversight? Incompetence? Read the document and see for yourself. https://www.politico.com/f/?id=00000176-1b60-d27b-a5f6-db7067980000

If Trump did it, it MUST be illegal or unconstitutional.
WHY?
Because, well,
you know,
THE RUSSIANS!
That's why!
Case closed. Flynn goes to prison.

If Judge Sullivan follows the suggested course of action, we no longer have any laws, merely power.

Sullivan needs to be removed from the bench. He is a partisan, corrupt judge who should be nowhere near any case, but especially a political case. He also apparently doesn't understand that the President's pardon authority for federal cases is not limited. I believe the Founders planned for such corrupt judges as Sullivan.

One of the benefits of having Trump in office is the exposing of how many dirty people in high places inhabit D.C. it’s really amazing the low quality of so many people.

There are times, when I'm feeling particularly despondent, that I think there's not just criminality in the higher ranks of our government, but true evil. How else to explain this, the election, Seth Rich, the corruption of virtually all areas of federal law enforcement, antifa, blm, etc?

If ever there was reason to remove a Judge from the Bench, Sullivan is it! What can be done about him?

The Presidential pardon power is unfettered, unlimited, unrelated in any way to ANYTHING that a judge or court can do.
It is in the Constitution, and the judges can just pound their gavels all they want, and it means NOTHING.
The judges are DONE.

If Trump’s lawyers don’t pull off a miracle, we are done here, folks. The system IS rigged, and the deep state does not appreciate our interference. They are done pretending to care or show fairness.
If you oppose them, you are the enemy. Defeating the enemy is justified by any means necessary. Think your free speech and guns will protect you? Not when they take your job, deny your family privileges to colleges and careers.
We are all prepared for the foreign invasion that never came. Instead, they have used their version of social credit scores to censor your words, make you feel guilt for things you didn’t do and make you dependent on them.
Think about it:
- You wear a mask because they say to
- You don’t tell certain jokes because they will punish you
- You tolerate all forms of perversion because you can lose your job
- Want to fly on a plane? Prepare to be groped, scanned and searched
- You are to to coexist and embrace diversity, but you are evil due to your inherent privilege
- The history of your country is all evil, racist and built on the backs of slaves. The same ones saying this ignore current real slavery and cultural genocide around the world.
- Anyone sneaking into the country is heralded as your moral superior. They are heroes, arriving to fix your evil.
- Want to keep the money you earned? You must give it to them, to pay your fair share.
- If you send an email or make a phone call, the big tech companies will route them through other countries so that the deep state can snoop without permission
- And finally, if you run for President, win and begin to threaten these people, they will lie about you, spy on you, prosecute you, impeach you, leak secrets about you and work tirelessly to defeat you. They will even run a feeble minded, slimy old white guy against you, and manufacture hundreds of thousands of votes to pretend he won. And their willing partners will look you straight in the eye and call you crazy.
God bless what was the USA.

The power to pardon granted to the President by the Constitution is deliberately unfettered. The only constraint is if the pardon is corrupt in nature. Which it obviously is not here. The judge is out of line. It is 0bama speaking through hhim!

We're way past legal and into pettiness and vindictiveness. Those judges need to be spanked and put to bed without supper. They are playground bullies that were never properly disciplined by those in charge of them, so they never learned fairness, decency or mercy. Prayers for Gen. Flynn. This must be agonizing for him.

General Flynn needs to sue the Federal Government along with personally suing Obama, Biden, Rice, Powell, Comey, McCabe, Yates, et al. This needs to happen sooner than later.

It seems as if individual federal judges have more power than our President. Get over it, Judge. I didn't here one word of complaint when Clinton pardoned Rich or that gang of murderers in NY.

The executive pardon power is the Check and balance over judicial overeach. As such it is completely outside of judicial revue. Small minded, partisan petty corruptocrats in the judicial branch can bleat and howl all they want but, constitutionally, they are simply making simpering noises with no meaning or merit.
Checks and balances, the core of our constitutional republic were put in place for exactly the situation General Flynn found himself in. POTUS can pardon anyone for any reason and the justices can do nothing about it. And as to theat issue of "unless made as part of a corrupt act" return again to the constitution. The judicial branch is not involved in that decision, the congress, through the act of impeachment, is in charge of the determination of whether a pardon was itself a corrupt act.

Judge Walton is another affiliated with Obama. Which means his knowledge of law is highly suspect. Walton and Sullivan should be both impeached and disbarred, and would if we had an honest congress. You can't just appoint judges Turtle and call it good. You gotta clean up the rot that is already there by impeaching rotten and corrupted judges who ignore the Constitution they swore to uphold. I guess they had their fingers crossed when they took the oath.
