YUMA, AZ — Millions around the world have now watched a Marine veteran from Yuma jump into action. James Kilcer singlehandedly stopped an armed robbery at a Yuma gas station early Wednesday morning. The video has exploded online, with the vast majority of viewers applauding his bravery and quick thinking. Kilcer was on his way into work at around 4:30 a.m. He is a contractor with the Department of Defense, so he is not allowed to carry a gun into work, which is why he was not carrying his gun that morning. Had he been armed, Kilcer says things might

Comments:

By now, we've all seen the short-version video. This piece provides more detail and a sweet interview with the Marine--wearing a MAGA hat. Thoroughly liberal Milley needs provide his Marines more of this kind of training and less of CRT.

FTA ... "I picked my target and said that's the one I'm going for and he took an extra step towards me, towards the counter and he was in my reach." Exactly ... Get within arm's length and you lose the gun's advantage. Idiot kid.

The perp will be out in a week and switch to shoplifting. Selling on ebay and to his friends. A much less scary job. Thank you to that Marine. Which you could have broken his nose. I realize that is not Christian of me but I'm tired of this crap.

As a minimum, the marine should have broken his arm into two pieces.

At first I thought maybe this guy was believing his own press, but he's pretty self deprecating and I appreciate that. Too bad the kid didn't get a busted-in face.

I almost fell sorry for the idiot felons. One ran away virtually tripping over his own two feet going out the door. The other got within arms length with his gun. Too bad the Marine didn’t break his arm in the process. I saw his interview and he sounds like a good man. Let’s hope that thug learns the lessons that crime doesn’t pay and it could cost you your life.

Yet just last week, the Associated Press ran an article about 'children in handcuffs.' If the Marine had killed the 14 year old with the kid's own gun, what would the story be?

If you watch this video, you'll see, briefly, a guy in a halloween mask in the doorway for a fraction of a second. I think that he was with the gun wielding punk. I think the mask meant he wanted to do bad things and not be recognized. I think this marine stopped bad things from happening. Bad things.

The "Child" is verrrry lucky that neither the Marine or the shop owner were armed... WE are actually lucky it was thus as well, otherwise there would be a "New Tamir" filling the airways and sparking riots. On the Good News front, kid was caught, held, arrested, and ratted out at least One of his accomplices, also captured. The third was sommat Taller/bigger...perhaps an adult? WHERE did the gun come from? Marine remarked how small the barrel was...BB, Airsoft? .22?

Back in August, Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller called for accountability for military leadership on the disastrous and catastrophic exit from Afghanistan. He did so knowing he was risking his career and would likely face punishment for doing so. "The reason people are so upset on social media right now is not because the Marine on the battlefield let someone down," Scheller said. "People are upset because their senior leaders let them down and none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability or saying, 'We messed this up.'"

The Atlantic magazine on Tuesday published an article suggesting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) would resign from her leadership role "in the not-so distant future." "Sometime in the not-so-distant future, probably after next year’s midterm elections, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will announce that she's stepping down" the Laurene Powell Jobs-owned publication wrote. "Her top deputies… aspire to her job, but they're also in their early 80s, and most Democrats in and out of Congress are counting on them to step aside too."

"This evening, Senator Leahy was in his Capitol office and was not feeling well," Leahy spokesman David Carle said in a statement. "He was examined in the Capitol by the Attending Physician. Is a rebellion against President Trump brewing in federal courts in the District of Columbia? We ask because of the latest development in the case of General Michael Flynn. A judge has questioned whether Mr. Trump's pardon of the general might be "too broad." The judge who made that comment isn't handling the Flynn case. His comment is shocking, though, while the judge who is sitting on General Flynn's case has yet to respond to the government's motion that the case be dismissed as pardoned. It was back in July that these columns first warned that Judge Emmet Sullivan, who

Of all that has been disclosed so far in John Bolton’s campaign to get his book published, the most significant--at least to us--is the classified information non-disclosure agreement that binds Mr. Bolton to keep our national secrets. It starts with the words “intending to be bound.” It describes his obligations in detail. It places the burdens on Mr. Bolton. It ends with his signature. So whatever else is bound up in this dispute, one of the issues will be the value of Mr. Bolton’s word. We understand one question in the lawsuit the government just filed will be

The Vice President of the United States spoke yesterday at the brand-new Northeast Bronx YMCA, promoting the so-called infrastructure bill that actually would transform the economy into dependence on unreliable “green” power and the populace into unsustainable financial dependence on borrowed money from the US Treasury. But forget about the substance, bad as it is, and focus on her behavior at the podium, which was, frankly, bizarre enough to suggest something is deeply wrong. Watch her arms in this clip. It’s only 26 seconds long, so I recommend watching it first with the sound off. Watching a second time with the sound on does nothing the ameliorate the utter weirdness

Republican Reps. Jim Banks and Marjorie Taylor Greene were dinged by Twitter this week for saying that Rachel Levine, a transgender Biden administration official, was a man. Mr. Banks of Indiana said Saturday that his official account was suspended after he tweeted, “The title of first female four-star officer gets taken by a man,” referring to Dr. Levine’s promotion to four-star admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. Meanwhile, Twitter placed a “hateful conduct” warning on—but did not remove—a tweet by Ms. Greene, Georgia Republican, that said, “A dude who lived the first 50 years of his life as a man isn’t the first female anything.”

A study, published Friday in medical journal JAMA Network Open, says nearly a quarter of individuals who've been infected with the coronavirus have problems retaining information and focusing months after contracting the disease. Researchers, examining 740 patients at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York, found that it's relatively common for people who've had COVID-19 before to struggle with things like multitasking. "In this study, we found a relatively high frequency of cognitive impairment several months after patients contracted COVID-19. Impairments in

For four continuous years, Alec Baldwin maliciously caricatured President Trump in numerous ‘comedy’ sketches on Saturday Night Live. The cycle worked as follows: The ‘brains’ in Washington contrived a scandal or outrage for that week, often related to the phony Russian Collusion narrative that loomed over Trump’s 4-year term. The figurative rifles were fired resting on the shoulders of shady lawyers, porn stars, dismissed or disgruntled personnel, anonymous ‘insiders’ and ‘leakers’.

Yup, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the emerging and infectious diseases “expert” has been implicated in a series of taxpayer-funded, animal-testing experiments. Beagle puppies, that is. This time, a bipartisan group of lawmakers is demanding answers. According to the White Coat Waste Project (a watch group committed to stopping taxpayer-funded experiments on dogs, monkeys, cats, and other animals), as reported by Daily Caller, 44 beagles were used in the experiments conducted in a Tunisia, North Africa, laboratory. Some of the dogs reportedly had their vocal cords removed, allegedly so scientists could work without incessant barking.

China on Tuesday launched a major effort to ramp up coal production and stabilize coal prices ahead of an anticipated surge in electric power demand this winter. China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) reportedly ordered mine operators to “produce as much coal as possible.” CNN noted on Wednesday that China made an effort to scale back coal production this year to placate climate change activists, but those desultory efforts simply evaporated in the face of rolling blackouts that interfered with the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) industrial goals.
