The Marine Who Called for Afghanistan
Accountability Has Been Thrown in Prison

Back in August, Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller called for accountability for military leadership on the disastrous and catastrophic exit from Afghanistan. He did so knowing he was risking his career and would likely face punishment for doing so. "The reason people are so upset on social media right now is not because the Marine on the battlefield let someone down," Scheller said. "People are upset because their senior leaders let them down and none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability or saying, 'We messed this up.'"

As he knew and said would happen. He is likely to lose all the veteran benefits and retirement earned for his service and even possibly suffer a dishonorable discharge. The military is very intolerant of dissent.

This kind of vengeful action ironically reinforces the truth of what Lt. Col Scheller was saying. Will our pathetic leaders try to find a way to punish the father as well?

That will teach you to be patriotic and use common sense. A few decades ago, Scheller would have been climbing the ladder to the Pentagon and collecting medals, now he's a threat to the pampered princes.

FTA: “'Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller Jr. is currently in pre-trial confinement in the Regional Brig for Marine Corps Installations East aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune pending an Article 32 preliminary hearing,' said Capt. Sam Stephenson, a spokesman for Training and Education Command." It's tragic but entirely predictable what is happening to Col. Scheller but he hasn't been "thrown in prison," as the headline claims. No one is "thrown in prison" without first having been found guilty in a criminal trial. It's like not knowing the difference between a piece of legislation that has passed one of the houses of Congress and a Public Law, which further serves to undermine the credibility of what is being reported.

Leaders should do nothing most of the time. Get the team focused on the tasks and get the work done. It is not a leaders job to put their thumbs on the scale, or pick winners and losers. That is corrupt and unethical behavior.

Lt. Col. Scheller has more integrity and courage in his middle finger than Milley has in his whole body. When I was a Marine, I’d have been proud to serve under his command.

The Atlantic magazine on Tuesday published an article suggesting House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) would resign from her leadership role "in the not-so distant future." "Sometime in the not-so-distant future, probably after next year’s midterm elections, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will announce that she's stepping down" the Laurene Powell Jobs-owned publication wrote. "Her top deputies… aspire to her job, but they're also in their early 80s, and most Democrats in and out of Congress are counting on them to step aside too."

Is a rebellion against President Trump brewing in federal courts in the District of Columbia? We ask because of the latest development in the case of General Michael Flynn. A judge has questioned whether Mr. Trump's pardon of the general might be "too broad." The judge who made that comment isn't handling the Flynn case. His comment is shocking, though, while the judge who is sitting on General Flynn's case has yet to respond to the government's motion that the case be dismissed as pardoned. It was back in July that these columns first warned that Judge Emmet Sullivan, who

It starts with the words “intending to be bound.” It describes his obligations in detail. It places the burdens on Mr. Bolton. It ends with his signature. So whatever else is bound up in this dispute, one of the issues will be the value of Mr. Bolton’s word. We understand one question in the lawsuit the government just filed will be

Obama stated that the crisis at the Del Rio border is “heartbreaking” and that the system, overall, “is dysfunctional.” “It’s the reason I proposed comprehensive immigration reform. It’s the reason Joe Biden proposed it during his administration, and it’s something that is long overdue,” Obama stated, according to GMA. The former president went on to say the situation at Del Rio is a reminder that more work needs to be done and that President Biden understands the situation better than anyone. “As big-hearted as he is,

During his campaign for the Presidential Elections 2020 Joe Biden left some Twitter users queasy after a clip from the campaign trail showed him discussing children playing with his leg hair. During the campaign speech, Biden, 77, described how children used to play with his blond leg hairs in the swimming pool while telling a story about his time working as a lifeguard. Well, with that disgusting video we found out about Joe’s hairy legs but it seems that at least his hands appear to look less hairy back in January when he got his first vaccine shot.

President Biden received his COVID-19 vaccine booster shot on Monday, after public health officials recommended boosters for many Americans, including those 65 and older. Mr. Biden, 78, got his third shot on camera, and delivered brief remarks before his jab. The Food and Drug Administration granted an emergency use authorization last week for booster doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine six months after the completion of the two-dose course for those 65 and older, those with some underlying conditions and those who work in high-risk environments. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also recommended a booster shot for these groups of people.

In Stephen Sondheim’s Into The Woods, there’s a point in the story when things have gone terribly wrong for everyone. The characters respond by disavowing personal responsibility and telling everyone else that it’s “Your Fault.” That song could have been the background music to the nauseating spectacle in the Senate Tuesday, when Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley, and head of U.S. Central Command Gen. Kenneth McKenzie testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee about the debacle in Afghanistan. Each general swore under oath that he advised Biden to leave troops in Afghanistan
