ROME — The great takeaway from the coronavirus pandemic is a rejection of borders and walls, Pope Francis told the BBC on Friday morning.
“Climate change and the Covid-19 pandemic have exposed our deep vulnerability and raised numerous doubts and concerns about our economic systems and the way we organize our societies,” the pope asserted in a special audio message for the launch of the COP26 Climate Conference. “The most important lesson we can take from these crises is our need to build together, so that there will no longer be any borders, barriers or political walls for us to hide behind,” he declared.

Hey Bergoglio, you are a hypocrite. You have done nothing but create walls in the Church, particularly in going after traditional Catholics who you characterize as "rigid."
Bergoglio is a socialist and a fraud.

I have been to the Vatican. If I remember correctly the whole blessed place is encircled by a nice, big, tall, thick wall. And guards everywhere is very colorful costumes. Is this the definition of irony?

So the Vatican is no longer a state? Open borders...can't wait for the homeless and others to populate St. Peter's Square with no fears, fully supported by the purse of the church. VIVA PAPA!!

As I understand it, Biden's (3rd) meeting with the Pope was to be shown live, but there has been a back off----maybe because MOST of we Catholics are furious that a man who loudly proclaims for abortion (and count Pelosi as well) gets to meet the Pope (for whom I have little respect ) all in an effort to keep the Catholic vote.

No doubt Biden is all in on no more international borders so that the Pope’s pilgrims can freely and silently invade the USA, you would have to be a moron not to see that occurring.

The Crusades began because of foolish Catholic leaders like this one. The walls of the Vatican were a short time away from being torn down and finally The Catholics got it together to fight back.

As the forces of tyranny seek to eliminate the USA as the world's foremost bastion of freedom I can understand why they unite in wishing to eliminate our border. When you no longer can define the homeland and defend it, you have been conquered.

I'm so, so happy I left the Catholic Church, in which I was raised, decades ago. I can opine without regret or apologies. Unearned wealth and power corrupts everyone, including the 'Head' of religions.

Don’t stop with the Vatican walls. Get rid of the Swiss Guard and all of the other security. Get rid of the metal detectors and bag searches which one has to undergo when entering St. Peter’s Square, remove the locks from the doors of the Papal Palace….

Did he tell Biden to remove the wall he is building at his Delaware beachfront home?
So, his phrasing gives the indication anyone would be able to live or travel, anywhere.
There would not be any sovereign countries or states.
