Somebody inform Mz Murray that she does not speak for “all the women in this country”...about anything. And along with her esteemed colleague Comrade Bernie, it’s not “one man” but at least 51 Senators who want this piece of garbage legislation to fail. That’s called a majority. And trust me a lot of women in this country are in agreement.

No, only The Party counts and The Party "will not let", (her words) a duly elected Senator make his own decisions and represent his constituents. Wow. How very Central Communist Party of her. If paid family and medical leave is important to you, then find a job with a company that offers these benefits. My niece works for a family-friendly company (private sector, non-union) that offers 6 weeks of paid maternity leave. There's no need for the federal government to mandate maternity leave.

Manchin will not be re-elected to the Senate if he runs wearing the democrat label. He squeaked by the last time with 49% of the vote in a three way race. Running as a Republican might get him to keep his senate seat, but that is his only chance. So, maybe the dems need to attack him with vigor. Mitch needs to sit down with Joe and find out what committees he wants to be on or chair if he puts the democrats in the 51 seat majority.

A lot of people are asking whether President Joe Biden dozed off during the climate change conference he’s attending in Scotland after a Washington Post reporter released a video that appears to indicate as much. (Snip) The video shows Biden repeatedly closing his eyes, though he has them open when an aide came up to him, and he clapped when the speech concluded. Whatever was happening in the clip, Biden went on to give a speech later where he urged world leaders to take action on climate change. Nonetheless, the video’s there and people still derisively call the president “Sleepy

Cultural appropriation must be dismissed as an extreme and segregationist perspective that will continue to divide this country. It's not part of your culture, so it is culturally insensitive for you to don the costume. It's not meant for you. Each

Coal, a pariah fuel for climate activists, has made a quiet comeback this year in the post-lockdown economic resurgence. Coal stockpiles at power plants are getting so low that the regional electric grid operator, PJM Interconnection, has taken steps to prevent a system collapse this winter similar to Texas earlier this year. PJM, based near Valley Forge, this month imposed new rules on power plants in 13 states and the District of Columbia to make sure electricity generators do not run short of fuel during a cold snap. The rules could force some coal generators to curtail operations to build

Nuclear energy provides 9% of U.S. energy, while renewable energy accounts for 12%.
