The NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) issued a letter Thursday to all major players' associations calling for athletes in free agency to avoid signing with teams that are in Texas in response to the state's recently enacted voting laws and new restrictions to women's reproductive freedoms. "In response to the most recent attacks on voting rights and reproductive care, the Association sent an open letter to the National Players' Leagues, urging free agents to reconsider moving their families to a state that is not safe for anyone," said the NAACP in a press release. I hope I speak for all Deplorables when I say we have no problem with what they are suggesting, that is, players refuse to sign on with teams in Texas, just as long as they publish the names of those who refuse so that we Deplorables can boycott the teams they end up playing for. It's a great quid pro quo pro.

Suuuure...Take LESS money and only play in DC, Chicago, Baltimore, NYC, Oakland, Detroit, Atlanta, St Louis, Philly, Minneapolis,Naw'lins....ALL places that have the Highest "Colored" Death Rates of any place outside of Africa itself. Where even Pro Ball players get mugged and shot. Dwarfing the rates of ANY place in Texas, for anyone at all. While Texas has the lowest tax rates, highest satisfaction of living rates, most diversity. Just a few years ago "Black Enterprise Magazine" had FIVE Texas Cities in it's Top Ten Locations for Black Businesses.
Do they not realize "Professional" Ball Players want to EARN(and get famous) playing Ball...not Politics. There is always time for Politics when their careers end.Though many Pro Players in Texas go on to found and get even richer with Businesses they start there. Texas LOVES it's sports folks, always has...always will. It's Sports Folks LOVE Texas too...

If they think protecting unborn babies makes everyone less safe, then they are too durn dumb to be wanted in Texas anyway. We're not all that fond of baby murderers.

Athletes are no dummies. SIgning a $20 million a year contract in Los Angeles is less money than if you sign a $20 million a year contract in Dallas or Houston.
No state income tax. Yeah, other states will ding you for income tax for games in those states, but at least half your income in Texas will be tax-free as you play half (or slightly more than half) of your games in the state.
It's awfully easy to be principled when it's somebody else's money at stake.

I guess this makes sense. The NAACP helping to increase the already astronomical number of bLack abortions.
Interesting side note: When typing this reply on my cell phone, auto-fill steadfastly refused to acknowledge the word “abortions”. Hmmm…

Yep. Any black in Texas is whipped and lynched on sight. Everyone on the left knows that.
Seriously, FOAD, you race-grifting scum. I am sick of this bullshit.

Yeah go sign with a team in CA, NY or Chicago and pay millions extra in taxes. Economic intelligence is not the strong suit of the NAACP.

FTA: to a state that is not safe for anyone. Well they got that line right! Not safe for Texans because of illegals, and not safe for the babies about to be born because of abortion. yep the stupid people from the NAACP like having their race exterminated.

N-ow A-borting A-ll C-olored P-eople.
Ya know...if not for Abortion, Black people would now be more than 30% of the US Population, instead of 12%. Approaching Parity/Plurality with "whyte" people.....instead of being eclipsed by, (and being abandoned by Democrats for) Hispanic People.

Go ahead, Make My Day®. I have lived in Houston most of my life. I am so disgusted by the wokeness of professional sports and their athletes (mostly the NAACP variety) that I refuse to watch either Football or Baseball. Not even the WorldSeries. So I think its a HUGE plus if the NAACP types don't come to Texas.

You would think that the NAACP would be against the killing of black babies. Go figure.

So they’re basically saying, “Kill more black kids.” If I said that I would be branded a racist. The NAALCP (kudos, Rush!) must be getting kickbacks from Planned Baby Murder.

the NAACP is not averse to lending its name to a radical idea in the least bit, it seems. it makes no difference to me because I stopped watching all pro sports.

Teams need to go full Kapernick on players that fall for this racist stunt . Don't office them contracts and let them join Kapernick in the unemployment line.

The NAACP says Texas has a broken moral compass. They need to check their own moral compass with the things they support. Killing unborn babies, allowing cheating in elections, supporting politicians who think "colored" people are stupid and helpless needing government handouts to survive.
