Florida mom Quisha King called for a "mass exodus" from the public school system, arguing that school systems left parents with no other choice for fighting left-wing ideas.
Her comments came during the annual Family Research Council's Pray Vote Stand Summit during a Thursday panel on "Fighting Indoctrination on a National Scale."
"I really think at this point the only thing to do is have a mass exodus from the public school system – that's it," King said. In response, she received prolonged applause, and many in the audience stood to their feet at the Leesburg, Virginia, event.
King previously drew national attention for her speech opposing critical race theory (CRT)

Exodus from public schools, regrettably, is only a partial solution and doesn't cut funding to the public school. Most parents cannot afford to pay for schooling their children privately while continuing paying public school taxes (nearly half the local property tax bill). Something has to be done in state tax laws for property owners and renters to receive appropriate relief from school taxes..

Still, critics like Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., have raised concerns about DOJ restricting free speech – pointing to language in NSBA's letter that disparaged anti-CRT efforts. They need to do more than just raise concerns! They need to cut these people off at the knees!

None of the politicians, people on Wall St, or anyone else that can afford it, sends their kids to public schools. Everyone else should be given the same choice.

There are marvelous on-line programs for the home-schooler parent and child. Plus, if a parent can, he or she can join with a neighborhood group and share days. This is the kind of program that grandma and grandpa can help with as well.

The fact that the teachers union vehemently opposes cameras in the classroom tells me all I need to know about public schools.

There are millions of other parents who agree, and a lot of former teachers who are not 'woke' and are against the school being used as an BRAIN WASHING CENTERS starting at age 3 to turn children away from tried and true factual learning.
Quite a bit of personalized, online instruction too! Worth looking into for sure!

#6 hit the Nail on the Head. Call up ALL former Teachers and ask them to Homeschool children in groups. They can meet in Homes, Church Basements or other Buildings that have room for a good number of children. I would bet Parents would all agree to provide Desks and School Supplies. Parents also would need to help the Teacher by being in the classroom to do various tasks to that will then allow the Teacher to spend her time Teaching! This plan would work, but I would bet my House that as soon as it's up and running some Democrat Governor will call for a new Law saying kids can not be taught by anyone but a Teacher's Union Teacher!! Would not surprise me at all! Schools are funded by the number of Children who show up on any given day. If they lose those dollars, it will make them take notice that the Parents mean business!

Current technology obviates the need for government indoctrination centers aka public schools. Provide vouchers for children who need them, and let the $$ follow them.
Then auction off the buildings, abolish the Department of Education, and fire the teachers' unions (like Reagan fired PATCO).
Return education to home schooling, churches, and private schools.
Think of the money we will save at the federal AND LOCAL levels, and how better educated our children will be!
(Not to mention they will be raised to be citizens, not drones.)
And then there is the looming issue of trans-humanism, which is topic for another day.

Most school funding is based on the number of students in a school. When school population drops so does the funding.

A mass exodus isn't feasible for most working-class families. People need to show up in mass and VOTE out the bums on the school boards and vote to separate school funding from town funding in budget elections.

We need to get Parents on the school boards.

That’s what I was thinking, pull your kid out of school. I thought schools only got funds for the number of kids in school each day and not for absentee students. Has that changed? That’s why parents had to report child not going to school that day, they weren’t interested if your kid was sick but rather if they were getting their money from the state.

Re#11: Vote, huh? Yeah, voting works just great; especially when the enemy is in charge of counting the votes.

Au contraire, #1. Schools are funded depending on the number of student who are enrolled. Taking away students cuts the funding.
My daughter and her family live 8 miles from Leesburg, VA in Loudoun county. Her children are still too young for school, but their parents have already decided to home school. They live in a great place to do it too because the National Home School Defense Association is located nearby in Purcellville, VA, which is also the home of Patrick Henry College which caters to home schooled students.
Quisha is right - the only way to change public schools is to empty them.

Home school: How long before the left will send their Stasi troops door to door to make sure that no one is home schooling?

How did we get into this place where a godless, bureaucratic government teaches our children "life messages"? Isn't it sick that we allowed the govt. to teach our children morals and secular thinking about the world history and being good citizens? What were we thinking that this would turn out good? The Commies/devil have been hellbent on destroying the family unit since the 1930s or earlier. Solution: Fight/Resist the Commies in Public School or get the Heck out! But for the sake of the future of our country, DO SOMETHING! FIGHT BACK! BE COURAGEOUS!

Good Idea, the Parents take the kids out of the Commie Schools, the Schools LOSE THEIR FUNDING for that child...Multiply that by Millions, the schools will implode! The best news is that the Union Commie Teachers will BE OUT OF A JOB!

Rescuing children from government schools is the highest priority, the most important task that parents must face. It's about the survival of human civilization.

Sounds like a good plan. Just say "NO!". Keep your kids safe from these racist government indoctrination centers. Parents will win this if they stick together.
