Walgreens is shuttering another five of its stores in crime-ridden San Francisco because of rampant shoplifting by thieves who waltz past security guards and sell the items outside the drugstore chain's doors. The national chain has closed 17 of its 70 San Francisco locations in the past two years because of the shelf raiders, who have swiped everything not behind lock and key. Thefts in the chain's 53 remaining stores are five times the average for their stores elsewhere in the country, according to company officials. San Francisco and Walgreens officials have cited 'organized retail crime' -

When justice is abandoned people suffer. Law and order is a requirement in a free society. We cannot exist without it. Safety and security is the first duty of government and when that fails as it is now, chaos and violence will fill that void. This administration is creating a Mad Max world where only the ruthless survive. This is not something that has just organically happened, it is a strategy straight out of the Cloward-Priven ideology. Chaos is crucial to the total transformation of the country.

And yet I'll bet that the insane San Francisco leftist leaders are neither embarrassed by this nor motivated to change their crazy policies. Even worse, I'll bet that the nutty liberal voters are still OK with it too...so long as it only affects the poorer parts of the city.
So, counterintuitively, the only way this is going to end in these cray-cray blue cities like San Crapcisco is when the legalized shoplifting spreads and expands in the wealthier parts of the city. Then, and only then, will the goofy leftist voters there finally get the message. And maybe not even then.
So... Keep on looting, San Fran nannies! Enjoy.

It is only a matter of time until all retail stores close in San Fran. How can you stay in business under these circumstances? Just wait and listen to the bah, ha, ha crying because we have to drive to Nevada to get a bottle of aspirin. Too bad for you. Ya get what you vote for!

The natural-born thieves and thugs of the inner city must all think they died and went to heaven. Steal more merchandise every day than you can possibly use and have an automatic pass from security and the police. It don' get no better 'n dat.

Store deserts will appear in the poorest communities and some Blacks will complain about nowhere local to shoplift.

The lib mayor of San Fran thinks we need to compassionately pause and ask ourselves are the thieves "drug addicted, mentally ill, or desperate?"
I think they just want the free stuff.

They complained about food deserts due to no food stores. Now they will cry medication deserts due to no pharmacies. All closing in or near minority communities. Will Walgreens be accused of being racist?

The left never questions the "then what" part. It's all cool and groovy for the downtrodden to get free stuff from stores with no consideration for the reason somebody runs a store to begin with and how they will react. It's their way of putting a roof on their head and food on their table. When theft renders that impossible they stop running stores. Who among the left would take a 20% pay cut with absolutely no reaction? And given the thin margins in retail a small percentage of theft can wipe out ALL profits.
But the franchise owner who sold his or her car and is on the verge of losing their house is greedy for wanting to not be robbed.

It's all by design. But, we have a ways to go yet before this level of chaos is nationwide. Cloward-Piven operates like a building storm. Slowly, but, surely. Yep, today's lefties in action, right, dims?
1. Overload and Break the Welfare System
2. Have Chaos Ensue
3. Take Control in the Chaos
4. Implement Socialism and Communism through Government Force

Stealing is just another cultural trait of a subculture that also glorifies promiscuity, illegitimacy, ignorance, lack of self control, violence, and failure. Guess which hyphenated American subculture that is.

What is wrong with people. I recall way back when I was shopping . had a hand full of stuff so I stuck a small item in my pocket. Checked out and when I was putting my seat belt on realized it was there. Took it back in and paid for it because that makes me an honest person. Way I was raised.

#5, we should care. If you shop at a Walgreens or a CVS where you live, you’re paying for the theft in SF.

Thieves are sealing everything from stores to votes and on to the country while the dem pols fiddle. Lawlessnes abounds while law enforcement is shunned. Now the Biden Administration has even opened the borders for illegals from around the world to do whatever. This is as a slow moving train wreck which seems to be accelerating.

Relax, Walgreens. The rest of us out here in Fly Over Country will keep you afloat until you can gain back all that moolah from putting your employees onto the Unemployment Scams. It is always the tiny towns (like mine, population 39,930) that bail out the democrat-run biggest sows at the Govt. teat.
