The Supreme Court has denied a challenge from New York City public school teachers to block Mayor Bill de Blasio's COVID-19 vaccine mandate from going into effect today. US Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor ruled in favor of the city Friday—allowing the mandate to go ahead and paving the way for up to 14,800 unvaccinated school employees to be out of work come Monday.(Snip)Sotomayor, who is the justice for the second circuit including New York, Connecticut and Vermont and so rules on emergency matters in the Big Apple, rejected the teachers' last-ditch effort to block the mandate without giving any explanation.

Comments:

It's right there in the US Constitution. If a politically favored corporation has a product to sell, it's perfectly acceptable to force people to use it, perhaps harming themselves in the process. Americans are merely commodities to be bought and sold, and most of us can't even hear the rattling of our chains as we hail our freedumbs.

Like the man said; Ever get the feeling you've been cheated? FTA: "The liberal justice's decision followed a similar ruling from conservative Justice Amy Coney Barrett back in August. Coney Barrett denied a bid from a group of students at Indiana University to block the school's vaccine mandate - also providing no comment and no referral."

A snippet of explanation to those who are looking to inhabit Galt's Gulch: From Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged-- becoming truer every day Directive 10-289 ends economic and personal freedom in the United States. The government now controls every aspect of an individual's economic life; it is a dictatorship. Sotomayor's denial of rights of the people tell us what side she is on-- not the people's side AGAINST a tyrannical and corrupt idiot like Comarade DiBlasio

If they Teacher's Union is going to DEMAND those precious children get the poison shot. They should have to also. There is some weird reason why Congress and those here illegally, even though we have NO idea what diseases they have, are exempt from getting this poison shot but citizens are demanded to have it. Did you ever wonder what it felt like to live under tyranny? Well, here’s your answer. If we do not throw off these oppressors by any means possible, we have little hope of living as free Americans again. They believe they have the momentum and are determined to push forward because they have been successful in their attempt to fundamentally transform this country. They will not stop until they are stopped. What that will take is anyone’s guess, but it will not be pretty. Frankly, I doubt if we have the power to do much of anything with the seemingly surrender of the military, Supreme Court and the total corruption of the election process. Have democrats actually perpetrated a successful coup D’etat on the Republic? It certainly seems that way.

Now you know what it felt like for Jews in Germany to be told they could no longer work in their profession or own their business. (Then came the yellow stars and confiscation of assets.) As for the lack of teachers that will result - there should be a corresponding lack of students. In fact families should group together and hire one of these teacher, who can think clearly, to educate their children.

Poster #23 hits the bullseye. I've been railing for decades - - that no government has any business owning, operating, or subsidizing education. The entire concept of "education" had been bastardized by the communists. Why does "education" have to take place huge buildings full of students with widely differing objectives? And widely differing ideas about what an education consists of? Why not have dedicated individual teachers educate small groups of like-minded and like-skilled individuals? In a living room, basement, garage, or storefront? Let each parent decide when and how their children are educated - - and let them pay for it too - - directly - - so they know exactly how much it is costing them. This is a small opening - - a trickle which could become a gusher. Let's take advantage of it!

Mark Levin has been urging Americans for years now to fight back against tyranny. And what exactly have we done about it so far. Get in the faces of a few school boards and take our kids out of the public schools and either home teach them or send them to private schools. That's about it. I don't understand how/why Sotomayor considered this teachers' case had standing despite her being as hard left as they come. These teachers are on their own as the NYC union is pro-vax. Of the many positions Kash Patel held during Trump’s presidency, his most important was as an aide to Devin Nunes when the latter worked doggedly to reveal that the Democrats’ Russiagate charges were a hoax coming from the Democrat party—specifically, from Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Given Patel’s insider’s knowledge of events, it means something when he appears on Maria Bartiromo’s Fox show on Sunday mornings and says that he believes that Special Prosecutor John Durham is on the verge of issuing some serious indictments against big players in the Russia hoax. (snip) I must admit that I’m not as optimistic as Patel

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp all remain down in what is now a four-hour-long global outage that experts say was caused by an internal error on Monday morning. Between 11.50am EST and 11.52am EST, Facebook made a series of updates to its border gateway protocol (BGP) which caused it to 'disappear' from the internet. The BGP allows for the exchange of routing information on the internet and takes people to the websites they want to access. Facebook's changes included withdrawals which removed its properties from the domain naming system it operates and essentially made it impossible for anyone to connect to the sites

The starting dates for the fill-in gigs range from Monday to May 2022, though the bulk of the roles begin in October,
