Vice President Kamala Harris nodded while a student accused Israel of ethnic genocide and then responded by saying the student's "truth should not be suppressed." After speaking at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, to commemorate National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, Harris took questions from the audience. That's when a female student raised questions about the money the U.S. is providing to Israel and Saudi Arabia. "I see that over the summer there have been, like, protests and demonstrations in astronomical numbers" about the Palestinian cause, the student said. Well, kiddo, if you think the non-existent place called "Palestine" is so wonderful, why don't you just pack up and go there?!?!?!? You will so love it how you suddenly get treated as a 4th class citizen (behind men, boys, and farm animals), and how you are raped and beaten for daring to talk where muslim men can hear you. Unlike Israel, where women are equal in the eyes of the law and are treated with respect and dignity. But if you think it's so great, I will pitch in for your plane ticket, as long as it is a one-way one!!!

There are facts that are true and assertions that are false. None of this is in the least effected because some fool says a falsehood is "my truth". What is headshaking, to say the least, is that this "my truth" has become accepted by some.

Funding for Child Care Seems Nice, But

A new Treasury Department report tells us what we already know: Child care costs are unaffordable for many families. In response to this, lawmakers have included $250 billion in child care subsidies in the $3.5 trillion spending bill currently under consideration. While this effort might strike many Americans as a well-intended “hand up” to working parents, it comes with a significant downside, and not just the price tag to taxpayers. The most serious problem with government-funded child care is the downstream effect on the quality, variety, and independence of child care providers in today’s robust — although expensive — marketplace. In other areas, government funding has proved to function like a

Four-star General Mark A. Milley, 20th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and highest-ranking officer in the United States Armed Forces, is a walking answer to the unasked question, “What if Jim Mattis were fat and dumb?” With his fellow four-star and President Trump’s first secretary of defense, Milley shares a powerful but muted arrogance, a strong but less than rabid hawkishness, a clear political ambition that nonetheless defies immediate identification, and the obvious desire to be seen as a 21st-century warrior-scholar. He does not share with Mattis the requisite intelligence to uphold these delusions of soldier-sagehood, nor the basic capacities required to competently lead men and fight wars.

President Joe Biden is facing a huge week. In the early days of his presidency, his ambitions to expand the social safety net had some people hailing him as a potential successor to Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson. But his agenda could come apart at the seams next week as Democrats face a looming government shutdown, the threat of a federal debt default and the potential implosion of either the infrastructure bill or the $3.5 trillion spending package. If this happens, Biden's presidency will suffer a huge setback

President Biden on Friday left Border Patrol agents stunned after repeating debunked claims that Del Rio agents whipped or "strapped" Haitian migrants, while promising to make those agents "pay." Biden weighed in on the controversy over images that emerged Sunday of agents on horseback blocking Haitian migrants from entering the U.S. Claims that agents, who were using long reins to control their horses, were using "whips" were quickly debunked by officials and other agents – but activists and elected Democrats have continued to fuel it. The photographer who took the images said Friday he did not see any agents whipping migrants.

Joe Biden winning the presidency may turn out very badly for the Democratic Party because success obscures problems that need fixing. If we’re winning, it’s working, the thinking goes, so there can’t be much wrong with what we’re doing. This is delusional. Making Donald Trump a one-term president seems to have ended any real effort by Democrats to stop treating ordinary people as ignorant plebs. This is unwise if you want their votes and will probably come back and bite the party as election cycles roll on. Hillary Clinton’s 2016 comment that those who wouldn’t vote for her were “deplorables” expressed the Dems' contempt for

Its constitution is the oldest of current free nations. And the U.S. military is by far the best funded in the world. And yet something has gone terribly wrong within America, from the southern border to Afghanistan.

By a 54-37 percent margin, they think the country is less united under Biden rather than more so. The latest Fox News national survey also finds a dip in the numbers describing him as caring and as a strong leader. Fifty-one percent think Biden cares about "people like you." That was 56 percent last year (October 2020). That five-point shift is mostly due to a 15-point drop among independents.

The study from the Rural Policy Research Institute's (RUPRI) Center for Rural Health Policy found that as the summer ended, the coronavirus infection and mortality rates of rural and urban communities began to diverge. RUPRI noted in its study that the initial surges of COVID-19 cases at the start of the pandemic were largely concentrated in urban areas. Subsequent surges saw increases in both urban and rural parts of the U.S.

If you’ve spent any time in Washington, you’ve heard stories about Joe Biden’s loquaciousness. Asked to give brief remarks, he’d famously meander for 30, 40 or more minutes about whatever came into his mind. But his verbosity is a symptom of a larger lack of situational awareness. After all, this is the guy who once asked a man in a wheelchair to stand up and take a bow.My favorite example came just after the 9/11 attacks, when Biden met with his Senate committee staffers and went into a “stream-of-consciousness monologue” about how to respond. “I’m groping here,” he confessed after a while, and then had a eureka moment.

But it’s also an odd comment considering that Milley’s been at pains to say — publicly, at least — that he didn’t do anything unusual during the post-election period while Trump was busy trying to overturn the election. My calls with China’s top general were routine and were known to my civilian superiors in the administration, he said yesterday before a Senate committee. The kits are evidently meant to be used as a stopgap measure before EMTs arrive to render treatment to victims.“Each of the kits contain enough supplies to treat eight victims, with tourniquets, gauze, shears, gloves and an instruction manual,” NBC Chicago reported about the initiative.
