Moderna Inc says people who received its COVID-19 vaccine last year are nearly twice as likely to get a breakthrough infection compared to those recently vaccinated. Breakthrough cases occur when people contract the disease 14 days or more after receiving their final dose of the shot. New data published on Wednesday found 88 breakthrough cases of COVID-19 among Americans vaccinated from December 2020 to March 2021.(Snip)The Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company also reported 13 severe cases among the early vaccination group compared to six in the later group. Times Square — A hostess at a popular Italian staple in the city’s theater district was assaulted after asking out-of-towners to show their proof of COVID-19 vaccination, according to police.
It happened at Carmine’s on Broadway Thursday night. The hostess, 24, was assaulted by three women from Texas after she asked the women to show proof of vaccination, the NYPD said.
Charges against the three women are pending, police said.
New York City rules require patrons to show proof of vaccination at several indoor businesses, including restaurants and bars.

They disregard hospitalizations and deaths resulting directly from the shot itself, and that's OK because Americans are not supposed to hear about that. It stands to reason that people vaccinated months ago are more likely to fall ill than those vaccinated recently purely because more time has elapsed, but that doesn't matter either because we Americans Trust the Science, and if the drugmaker says we should walk about with IV infusion trees for continual vaccines, netting them billions of dollars, then by cracky that's what we'll do.
