Another Failed Presidency at Hand

Original Article

Posted By: IowaDad, 9/8/2021 6:45:42 AM

This Sept. 11, a diminished president will preside over a diminished nation. [Snip] Joe Biden was supposed to be the man of the hour: a calming presence exuding decency, moderation and trust. As a candidate, he sold himself as a transitional president, a fatherly figure in the mold of George H.W. Bush who would restore dignity and prudence to the Oval Office after the mendacity and chaos that came before. It’s why I voted for him, as did so many others who once tipped red. Instead, Biden has become the emblem of the hour: headstrong but shaky, ambitious but inept.

Let’s be clear, Stephens voted for him because he hated President Trump. No sane reasonable person could have watched a moment of Biden’s appearances and believe he could have handled the job. Fools like the author, who actually believed Biden would be a calming spirit exuding decency, moderation and trust are laughable. Biden was a proven plagiarist, liar, racist, pervert, and moron and Stephens knew it. Someone so dishonest deserves nothing but contempt which pretty much defines you both.

Why do these people think that Biden was any different than the dolt he always was? Now he’s worse because he is going Alzheimer’s. They call Trump a demagogue because he demanded that his appointments and Congress do some work and get results, and get them now. Washington wasn’t used to producing quickly but Trump changed that. If anyone noticed, you never heard a Trump employee criticize the man. Biden was doomed to fail from the beginning because he is dumb as a rock to go along with his rigid personality, and his appointments and advisors are just as bad.

What a truly waste of oxygen Stephens is. He is just now coming to realize how bad a choice in the demented, corrupt, deceitful, plagiarist Joe Biden was. But, worst of all, he praises George H. W. Bush's Presidency as "who would restore dignity and prudence to the Oval Office after the mendacity and chaos that came before"---meaning President Reagan. Stephens is so warped that he still has to attack the finest US President in the last 100 years, Ronald Reagan, even after 30 years.

WASHINGTON — Two weeks after celebrating America’s near “independence” from the coronavirus, President Joe Biden is confronting the worrying reality of rising cases and deaths — and the limitations of his ability to combat the persistent vaccine hesitance responsible for the summer backslide. Cases of COVID-19 have tripled over the past three weeks, and hospitalizations and deaths are rising among unvaccinated people. While the rates are still sharply down from their January highs, officials are concerned by the reversing trendlines and what they consider needless illness and death. And cases are expected to continue to rise in coming weeks.

ROME — Pope Francis cracked down Friday on the spread of the old Latin Mass, reversing one of Pope Benedict XVI’s signature decisions in a major challenge to traditionalist Catholics who immediately decried it as an attack on the ancient liturgy. Francis reimposed restrictions on celebrating the Latin Mass that Benedict relaxed in 2007. The pontiff said he was taking action because Benedict’s reform had become a source of division in the church and been used as a tool by Catholics opposed to the Second Vatican Council, the 1960s meetings that modernized the liturgy. Francis issued a new law requiring individual bishops to approve celebrations of the old Mass

The State Department on Tuesday expressed concerns over the makeup of the new interim Afghan government announced by the Taliban, including the lack of female leaders and the past actions of some of those appointed to top posts. A State Department spokesperson said in a statement shared with The Hill that although the Taliban “has presented this as a caretaker cabinet,” the U.S. “will judge the Taliban by its actions, not words.” “We have made clear our expectation that the Afghan people deserve an inclusive government,” the spokesperson added.

And the roughly 17 million workers at health facilities that receive federal Medicare or Medicaid also will have to be fully vaccinated.

President Biden is firing all military academy board members who were appointed by former President Donald Trump—regardless of their qualifications—in a purge that’s drawing stiff pushback because their terms were supposed to last three years. Six presidential appointees on each academy board—18 people in total—were told to resign by 6 p.m. Wednesday or be fired. “I think this complete purge shows that the administration is hellbent on the woke mob controlling or having input into military education. Otherwise, why do it?” said one of the board members, who pointed out that Trump didn’t perform a similar purge.(Snip)‘Unprecedented’ is a word you could use here,”
