The Omicron variant causes over 73% of new coronavirus cases in the US, according to estimates posted Monday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The week ending Dec. 18, Omicron accounted for 73.2% of cases, with delta making up an additional 26.6%.The week prior, ending Dec. 11, Omicron was estimated at 12.6% of circulating virus, versus Delta’s 87%. Previously, the CDC estimated Omicron accounted for about 3% that week. The week ending Dec. 4, Omicron caused less than 1% of new cases.

Comments:

The omicron scarient is pretty skillful. Mask wearing ain't goin' to slow this puppy down. Vaccines might make it pretty benign -- we can hope..

So 73% had the sniffles and a scratchy throat and this is the reason for panic. Something is wrong with this picture, but I’m sure Biden will get to the bottom of it.

Logically, Omicron should be hailed as the beginning of the end of the COVID-19 era since this is exactly what we need: a mild, highly contagious variant that crowds out the other variants and doesn't overwhelm the healthcare system while getting us to herd immunity quickly.

I'd have to dig into the numbers represented by the percentages, but only a quarter of cases being Delta is not necessarily a good thing. Omicron may be mild and over-time beneficial to human immune systems but, for those without vaccination or natural immunity from having hosted CV, first-time Delta will be a bear.

Omicron got my wife. It was terrible. She had the sniffles and took some aspirin. I had to make matzo soup. Also the kids ate pasta out of a can bc she was beat after cleaning out the guest room. Seriously. That was it. I slept in the other room one night bc she was congested and snored like a bear. We’re in our 50s. Unvaccinated. Kind of. I got Covid back in January. Apparently I’m still immune bc my wife would kiss me every night.

"Vaccine" from "vacca": Latin for "cow". Dr. Jenner (1798) figured out that people who had recovered from a mild case of cow-pox virus developed immunity to the similar but lethal small-pox virus. Lethal viruses mutate to less-lethal strands over time because killing off the host makes it hard to thrive, (Democrats are demonstrating the effect). I can't find the re-infection rates of unvax'd Omicron survivors, but no-one dies from it. This appears to be a vaccine gift for FREE. So you can understand why they would fight that harder than anything. FREE!!! That will make big Pharma and BIGGER Leftists shutter...

OMG! 73% ! That means that 73% basically got a common cold. The panic is not that xo many people are getting the Omicron variant, but that it is not the deadly killer they want it to be. They panic because their excuse to steal control and power is slipping away from them.

This is why you never vaccinate into a pandemic. The vaccine will prevent the original strain from remaining dominant, and will let new strains, which are not affected by the 'vaccines' to become dominant. These fools are effectively assisting the virus to evade their "vaccines". All as predicted by ACTUAL experts in virology and ignored by the political hacks who pretend to be 'medical experts' in the US and UK and many other countries under the thumb of the Trilateral Commission/Bilderberg/Davos folks.

Fully vaccinated people infected with the omicron variant of the novel coronavirus could end up with super immunity to the coronavirus, according to new research from Oregon Health & Science University. The research — published online in the Journal of the American Medical Association — found that breakthrough infections create “a robust immune response against the delta variant.” Researchers said the findings indicate that “the immune response is likely to be highly effective against other variants as the SARS-CoV-2 virus continues to mutate.”

The vaccine played no role in West’s death — he died from an undiagnosed heart condition in 2013, seven years before the pandemic began. The video is just one example of many similar compilations circulating on the internet that use deceptive tactics to link vaccines to a supposed wave of deaths,

The 71-year-old cardiologist and staunch anti-vaccine advocate contracted Covid-19 two days later, according to the head event organizer, Dr John Littell. Littell, an Ocala family physician, also told the Daily Beast six other doctors among 800 to 900 participants at the event also tested positive or developed Covid-19 symptoms.

NEW YORK — Health officials on Friday offered more evidence that vaccinations offer better protection against COVID-19 than immunity from a prior infection. Unvaccinated people who had been infected months earlier were 5 times more likely to get COVID-19 than fully vaccinated people who didn’t have a prior infection, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concluded in a new study. “These data show, pretty strongly, that the vaccines are more protective against symptomatic COVID,” said Dr. Mike Saag, an infectious disease expert at the University of Alabama. Newsom cruised to victory in the recall election Tuesday, boosted by healthy turnout among an overwhelmingly Democratic electorate, ensuring the nation’s most populous state will remain a laboratory for progressive policies. With an estimated two-thirds of ballots counted, the “no” response to the question of whether to recall Newsom was ahead by a 30-point margin.
