Yale Students Call for ‘Unrelenting

Some Yale law students are calling for the “unrelenting daily ostracization” of people who disagree with them on abortion — as if they don’t ostracize them already anyway. But in addition to giving conservative students migraines because of their constant caterwauling, the frothing radicals want to toss the Constitution tooThey don’t say what we should replace it with. Because that would require actual thought — something the radicals are unfamiliar with. They do a great job emoting and wailing and gnashing their teeth, but when it comes to thinking, it’s as mysterious as Oak Island.

Those elitist Yale grads who want to dump the constitution might consider practicing law in Cuba which is nearby. They’ll be right at home orchestrating how others should think and conduct their lives. BUt they’d give up all that MONEY practicing in Cuba. They should toss those anti-constitution radical leftist students out of Yale University. They should know that if the US Constitution is abolished in this country there would no longer be a basis for a federal government or federal laws. Once that happens all the laws would be administered and enforced by the individual States that would decide what abortion law would amount to in the individual States. That’s like what the leaked draft US Supreme Court decision was hinting at in the first place. With the country politically split now, how do those radical students think a new federal constitution could be agreed upon without the nation going through another civil war first?

Since the Constitution is supposed to be the basis for our laws, a strong case should be made that people who go to Yale Law School should never be lawyers or hired by anyone to practice law. If there is an agency that accredits law schools, maybe they should do a review of Yale Law based on their students (and professors) actions and philosophy of the law / Constitution and remove their accreditation.

Ed mentioned the rout on the river near Bilohorivka in a post last week but you can’t appreciate the magnitude of it until you see it. The Russian army was attempting to cross the river on pontoon bridges, crowding dozens of armored vehicles manned by hundreds of troops near the riverbank in anticipation. The Ukrainians attacked, destroying the pontoons and leaving the Russians trapped. The result was a turkey shoot unlike any seen in war in many years. The Institute for the Study of War estimates that some 550 Russians from 74th Motorized Rifle Brigade were involved in the operation and that close to 500 of them were killed or wounded.

While it’s been clear for a few weeks that Republicans have come out on top regarding redistricting for the coming mid-terms, there was one final piece of the puzzle left. That piece has now fallen into place. A court-ordered map in New York has been adopted, and it’s lights out for Democrats heading into November. While the original Democrat map, which was struck down by the state’s Supreme Court, had a likely outcome of 22 D-seats to 4-R seats, the new map puts as many as 12 seats in play for the GOP. Republicans were looking at a modest 1-3 seat gain via redistricting after Ron DeSantis worked his magic in Florida

The highest-profile case brought so far by John Durham, the Special Counsel tasked with pinpointing the origin of the plot to frame Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, as a Russian spy and traitor to America, starts Monday in a D.C. courtroom. Durham’s case combines all the worst elements of media frenzy — Rachel Maddow’s fainting couch moments, “Trump Stole the Election” fake headlines, and packing peanut-weight Pulitzer Prizes — in a melodrama embodied in the person of Michael Sussmann, Hillary Clinton’s attorney and the man who represented the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 election cycle.

The fever didn’t break. And for the Biden White House, efforts at bipartisanship have finally taken a backseat. To the frustration of many Democrats and some of his closest advisers, President Joe Biden has steadfastly spent more than a year in office insisting on trying to work across the aisle with Republicans. It’s produced some notable legislative successes. But it’s also been colored by a fair dose of in-your-face GOP obstructionism. Now, more than a year later, Biden no longer believes that most Republicans will eventually drop their fealty to Donald Trump and show a willingness to engage. He himself admitted he was wrong.
