A Southwest Airlines flight attendant based in Las Vegas died Tuesday from COVID-19, according to his family and co-workers. Maurice "Reggie" Shepperson, a native New Yorker whose brightly colored pants earned him the nickname Skittles during training in 2014, tested positive for the coronavirus in early July and had been fighting it in a hospital for a month, according to Marcia Hildreth, a Southwest flight attendant who called him her best friend. He was on a ventilator and died early Tuesday, his mother, Dawn Shepperson, told USA TODAY. A nurse told her it was from COVID-19.

not trying 2 b a literalist ..but one can’t fudge the obvious difference..that photo shows a high risk guy. Our bodies make us candidates for certain outcomes .Too heavy , too thin , too big heart , too little whatever ..we are all equal before God ‘s judgement if we believe ..in the medical world our bodies and their frailties will win out .. eventually

We hear a great deal about the fully vaccinated dying from Covid but no confirmation of WHICH vaccine was used. Why not tell us? The vaccine-hesitant would like to know. Was recently scolded to get the vaccine by my primary care physician who I trust 100%. Moderna is clearly the best option. The media’s insistence on making everything political is getting people killed.

There is no excuse not to know the pitfalls of being hospitalized with Covid. Avoid it at all costs. Find a doctor in your area that will prescribe a remedial drug. Do it now, before you need it. If you end up in the hospital, do not, DO NOT, let them put you or a loved one on a ventilator. It is a deathtrap for this virus, and the hospital will push it relentlessly. If we are to fight this battle, we must be educated and stand firm. The old tactics of being reasonable and a good patient no longer apply. Intentionally or not, they are attempting to kill you.

I couldn’t read the article due to my ad blockers but I strongly suspect that he didn’t die from covid, he died with covid. Given his choice of clothing and his nickname, I wonder if he didn’t also have AIDS.

A search of just his name reveals other articles with more details. One stated that he followed all the recommended protocols-religiously: hand washing, masking, social distancing etc. and still got it on a trip with his mother to Hawaii. He was fully vaccinated, hospitalized in July, spent weeks on a respirator until he died. It appears he did everything he was told to do. If these reports are true then, PCP's and hospitals are following the NIH/CDC recommended course of action: vaccinate or respirate. Medical treatment protocols have been developed for every stage of this disease including prophylactic treatment before you are exposed to it, treatment at home, treatment in hospital and treatment during recovery. The medication is cheap - when compared to a hospital bill. Over-the-counter supplements are also cheap and readily available. Educate yourself and do what you need to do.

I'm sorry this person died, but his example is anecdotal, meaning that it's irresponsible to generalize from a single event. Of course, this is what our media loves to do. Just like Chris Wallace this morning interviewing the NIH director. Rather than have a rational discussion on why some people oppose mask mandates, He showed a video of two upset parents yelling at a school board member in his car. His implied question: " Doctor, why can't these two crazy Trump supporters get in line with the rest of us?"

Yes, and I'm sad because my best friend is dying of myelonoma. True fact, wonderful guy. Number 8 is right, This story is anecdotal and manipulative. Lots of people died yesterday. This story doesn't communicate any real news or facts about Covid. Its purpose is to foster fear and submission. But anyway, now that we know about you, RIP Skittles. You had a nice smile.

Did he have a common 'comorbidity' of living with HIV, therefore having a suppressed immune system? Lot of male flight attendants don't care about women.

It's sad that he died, but sometimes even healthy people die of it. It has a strange way of turning your immune system against you. I don't think the photo shows anything but a couple of happy people. The story about the pants and nickname MAY indicate a possible other underlying condition, but I think it's wrong to make assumptions. God bless you and rest in peace Mr. Shepperson.

On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Assembly held another election integrity hearing to present evidence of voter fraud and irregularities that have been found in their investigation of the rigged 2020 election. And just like last month’s election hearing, they dropped some serious bombshells. Yesterday’s hearing built on those findings and presented more questions for the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC), which has failed to answer previous questions on the 2020 election. They did however respond to the reported 119,283 active voters who have been registered for over 100 years, but their weak response just didn’t cut it.

Last week, the Department of Justice announced that in March, a former Philadelphia election official admitted to, and was convicted of, accepting bribes to stuff ballots for three Democrat candidates for Philadelphia Common Pleas Court Judge. He admitted to inflating the votes in primaries in years 2014 through 2016. He purportedly committed the fraud by standing in a voting booth and voting multiple times. That he acted alone seems unlikely. In Pennsylvania, each polling place must have a minimum of five poll workers to open and operate. They all work for thirteen hours – where were they?

I’m not sure what Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) thought he was going to get by pushing a vote on the Democratic effort to federalize elections (which they call ‘voting rights’) and on the filibuster. Schumer knew that he was likely to get a “no” on the filibuster from Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ). They’ve only been holding fast on the subject for months. Both also were very firm on the subject in speeches — Sinema earlier in the week and Manchin earlier on Wednesday. It wasn’t happening, they said. But Schumer decided to commit electoral suicide anyway, and he got it tonight.
